Do a perfect job of fitting our BabyDan gate to the bottom of the stairs, providing just the right shape to securely grip on a spindle in the bannister. Just as simple to fit/use as the standard pressure-fit attachments and, if anything, a bit easier because they stay in place against the spindle rather than spinning around when you try and tighten the gate up to pressure. If you're installing a stair gate at the bottom of your stairs and your bannister has spindles, this is an essential item.

I bought this to go around a large rounded bannister fitted to a lindam stairgate. It fitted both the stairgate and bannister perfectly. It is covered in rubber to ensure good grip and no damage. Be careful which bannister you fit it to as (no fault of the product) but I attached it to a smaller bannister initially and the pressure of the gate created some movement.

These spindles have finally let me fit a stair gate on my awkwardly shaped staircase. However, two points which are made clear in the instructions (but not the packaging or listing): when used with a BabyDan Danamic gate, you need to also be using one (or more) extensions, or it won't fit; also the spindle can only be fitted to the hinge side of the gate.

Really good. Having moved from a flat (and no stairs) to a house, well stairs became an issue with our little boy. So I bought the stair gate only to find I couldn’t fit them to the stair spindles. So, I bought these and they fitted both the stair gate and staircase brilliantly. Would definitely recommend.

Had a problem securely fitting a gate to a bannister. One of these attached to the bannister side of the gate solved the problem. I also placed a small piece of rubber between the bannister and this item and seems to have helped it gain a very firm grip. 2yr old can't budge the gate. Very happy.

This is exactly what I needed although I have a lindam stair gate it was making the spindle move so I bought this although someone said the had to hacksaw it to shorten the length but if you slot it in opposite side to the opening clip you don't have to alter it at all definitely worth £5 :)

Spindel is fairly priced and is ideal if you have a stairgate that you're having to fix against banisters. Really easy to use and I'm now confident that my stairgate is fixed securly enough to prevent it slipping when my toddler is dangling from it :o) Would recommend

We have a lindam pressure fit gate, but the spindle was too long. Easy fixed though, my husband shortened it with a hacksaw and now it fits perfectly. Great product as I was worried we wouldn't get another gate to fit the banister on the stairs

This works excellently - it is perfect to adapt our stair gate (Lindam) to one that can fit our stairs as we have a round bannister at the top. Would definitely recommend to everyone in the same position and only took about 1 min to fit.

Wow for weeks we have had an issue with the baby gate in our new house until I found these! Now the gate is secure and they fitted our Lindam gate perfectly with no need to trim as some other reviewers have stated. Well worth purchase.

Needed this Y-Spindle to fix Baby dan gate to stair case. It worked absolutely great and I now have a really secure baby safety gate which I wouldn,t have been able to install without this spindle. Does the job great.

These are great. The screw/rod part is quite long so gives a bit more flexibility when fitting. It also works on our stair post which is bigger than 2.5cm diameter as it wedges on nicely.

Excellent item, does the job, a bit expensive. If you have some stairs with no wall on one of the side, please bear in mind that you will have to buy 2 PAIRS of these and not just one.

Was missing a fitting from my existing stair gate, so this brought new life and a better fitting to my stair gate/s. Definitely worth while if your trying to fit it on banister rails.
