Really nicely made product, and an attractive way to keep babies and toddlers well away from the fireplace. As others have mentioned the instructions are not fantastic, but are comprehensible enough to allow it to be put together without frustration. The only negative is that in the end the ways that you can put this together are fairly limited. It would be nice if the sections were broken up (so more shorter sections) and so allowed for more bespoke shapes being created, but you can by additional sections at a cost.The set does include fixings to attach to the wall. I'm sure these should be used, but as we want to take it down through summer we have not put them up.

Very happy with the Baby Dan, works perfectly and easy to install.I had previously only posted a 2 star rating as I thought it hadn't been delivered in time but it turned out there was no one home when it was being delivered so the deliver company left it at a neighbouring office(which I'm happy enough about) and they didn't contact me about it.But when I left my review the people at Safe Tots contacted me the next morning and we had it all figured out in under an hour! Good Company with Helpful, polite and genuine staff (isn't that right Kat!) And a good affordable piece of safety equipment.Deserving of their 5 star rating

I ordered the "Premium" hearth gate, but it was unavailable, so I accepted the "Flex" model as an alternative. I like the product; it's very solid and stable. The only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is that the instructions are rubbish. I'm usually pretty good at flat-pack furniture, but I couldn't make any sense of these, and had to figure it out for myself. I haven't fixed mine to the wall, and it's perfectly good free-standing. I don't have children, I bought it to keep my cats away from the stove, and it works fine for that. They can't get through it and haven't tried to jump it.

Good when used for the fireplace, can be extended if required. If you are looking for something a bit larger try: https://www.amazon.co.uk/BabyDan-Flex-Hearth-Gate-Black/dp/B00JLB04PU. We use the XXL as a room divider and have used the Flex Hearth for the fireplace. This kit has two small panels that can be used individually to help make a shape or can be joined together to make a larger panel.

Excellent size fire guard for our large lig burner, very easy to fit and operate as well which is a bonus. The bars do heat a little when the log burner is on full blast but the bars can still be touched, my youngest is a year old and can touch the bars when the burner is on full so this was another bonus.

The guard is not for a child ,but for a 102 year old man unsteady on his feet. His family now feel assured of his safety against the wood burner . Excellent product

A well made, sturdy gate that can be used in any number of configurations. Easy to install with basic diy skills...It looks good too... Worth the money.

A really secure, strong, sturdy guard. Overall great product which is why this is the second one I have bought to put in grandparents house.

Style and flexibility in angles/ smaller extension pieces. It fits the space for our log burner excellently.

Arrived quickly, easy to assemble, feels sturdy. Following instructions gates gets warm not hot.
