Nice, compact and stylish looking tank with all the workings hidden neatly away. I have the 34L for my betta and it's the perfect size for him. The filter media is easily accessible to clean and shouldn't need replacing for a good while once the tank is cycled. There is also an empty chamber at the inflow area so I have some spare bits of sponge kept in there for emergencies. Overall it's a nice, simple little tank. A couple of things to note however, especially for the white colour.*The filter pump was very noisy to start with. It took me a lot of fiddling to stop the vibrating noise the tank was making, however, this is an issue that seems to solve itself after it's been running for a while. It's been going a couple of months and is now virtually silent.*The pump isn't adjustable and the outflow is quite strong. This does give a nice, constant flow across the top of the water, but this could be too strong for some fish. I have had to utilise some sponge in the outflow to slow the flow enough for my betta.*The lid is great as it's fully removable and makes for easy maintenance. There is a feeder hole cut into the front of the tank though, and this seems a major flaw given how much fish like to jump. It's plenty big enough for most fish to get out of, so you have to cover it in some way which does rather ruin the aesthetic of the tank.*The LED light is nice with all it's effects, and certainly bright enough for decent plant growth. The remote control though is useless. The buttons often started an effect attributed to ones next to it rather than what I was pressing, and after six weeks, it gave up completely leaving me with a garish green light the whole time. I had to purchase another to get it back to white. The 'default' reset on the light is the moonlight blue colour, which again is not one you want to be stuck with. Why this doesn't default to the white light seems to be another design flaw. Hopefully this remote will last bit longer.*The white tank looks great with my decor. However, is a bit of a nightmare as the tank matures as the white divider between the filter space and the main area starts to accumulate algae and it looks awful! It's impossible to clean completely as well due to the slightly rough surface of this divider. I added a couple of snails who did a way better job, but it still never looks 'clean' as such. This slightly bumpy surface also means you can't suction anything to it (like my betta bed) and would honestly have been much better if it was just plain gloss material rather than what it is. In hindsight, I wish I had gone for the black one as the algae wouldn't show in this way. These are rather minor points though for what is actually a pretty decent, easy maintenance tank.

This was my first tank since i was like a kid (first serious fishkeeping tank) and it was a really good choice for a beginner set up.Thick glass and clean look. I didnt know it came with a built in filter system which was my own bad as it DOES mention in the description (i was too excited lol) so now i have a spare filter which isnt a bad thing. The filtration is pretty good with a massive sponge that has carbon and biomax. Outlet heads are adjustable and not too heavy, my betta doesnt mind the flow.My only dislikes are that there is no cap for the feeding hole. I sorted this thanks to some people in the reviews who recommended to look on ebay as people make 3d printed covers,i got one for £2 so it is cheap but it would have been better to cut out the middle man so to speak.Personally, as time has gone on (ive had this for 2 months now) i dont like the curve as much. It does magnify whats in the tank so if you are looking for that then great! I thought i was, however for me it makes viewing slightly more difficult up close when im trying to spot debris that needs cleaned up. I also dont like how it makes my tank look smaller when there is quite a lot of depth to the top.My last dislike personally is that it is pretty much a cube. I bought it knowing that of course but only because i needed a cube of its exact size to fit the only space i had avaliable for a tank at that time. However i feel like for a 15 Gallon aquarium, depending on your stocking plans of course, a longer one may be a better call. I wanted a lot of cories but its just not quite a good enough length for them. But like i said, all depends on your personal stocking and when i bought it, i didnt know anything about cories. So overall, im not marking any stars off since its all my personal opinion but i just thought it might be helpful for someone wanting to know more about practicality etc.Oh and i love that it comes with a mat!In terms of colour change too, i only use the orange setting mixed with the white, plus purely white when cleaning as its super bright. Love that all colours are dimmable too. I dont use the 2 effect settings, night time because my fish sleep and like darkness for that so blue light just is disturbing for all of us and the thunder one is too chaotic for me. It feels like it might be distressing for fish. Maybe im wrong though. So yeah, i love this tank :)

Lovely little tank and a solid buy for a first timer that wants a generous sized aquarium with minimal difficulty setting it up and getting it cycledThe curved front is great and adds an awful lot of depth to the tank, it's rather deceptive how deep the curve is until you see it side on, it makes for great foreground movement of fish, making it one of the most visually interesting tanks I have owned because of this curve.A downside is the filter holes, they are large enough for small tetras and shrimp to go through.I sat and watched two shrimp happily swim into the back , I remedies this by putting a coarse sponge behind each filter hole so water movement is not effected but fish can no longer fit through. There are filter holes at the top and bottom however, so you will need to monitor both.Pros:- Very tidy with cables all running from one hole- All heating kit (not included) , pump and filters are hidden behind the wall at the back, making it far nicer to look at and easier to clean without disturbing your fish- lighting is powerful and adjustable brightness with a range of colour that can compliment the fish- very solid build- easy to pop extras in the back chambers, for example I keep a bacteria ball / ammonia reducing ball in the back chambers and some extra ceramic medium there tooCons- if keeping smaller fish, you should spend a few pounds in something to cover the filter inlets at the back- need a very small net or cleaning tools to clean the back chambers- no automatic timers on lights- rapidly makes you want a bigger aquarium with no fish- heater not included but a 40w fits easily next to the pump and the materials keep it very well insulatedIf allowed to cycle property and establish, the tank can I be kept well stocked and clean.Current8 micro tetra2 Gourami3 blue RamShrimp and Snails

This is a pretty OK starter tank. In the box is a 57L aquarium, split into 4 sections. The main section is the display, there is a water inlet section, a filter section and finally a pump section. The filter section is filled with a shaped foam for mechanical filtration, a small bag of ceramic filter media for biological filtration and a small bag of activated carbon. In the lid is an LED light with remote control. The tank is made of reasonably thick glass with a bow front. There are darkened sections of glass at the top and back to hide the equipment and light spill into the room. The bow front is not ideal.I've set it up as a tropical planed aquarium and has been going for just over 6 week.In order to get the tank up and running I needed to add a heater and a lighting control system, that cost around £15 each. I also added aquascape, plants and live stock costing around £100 extra. The lack of a timer for the lights is a major con for this tank, it would cost pennies to add and would make for a much more integrated system. No one needs the multicoloured LEDs but they are there anyway, why not do the same for a timer? The lights are OK for brightness on the maximum setting - I'm getting pretty good plant growth and the carpeting plants are starting to spread.I've swapped out the very noisy pump for an almost silent one that's also more powerful, getting 10x turn over in the tank. There is still a little buzz from the tank; this is coming from the plastic lid vibrating. Without the lid, the new pump can't be heard. All in all, it's an OK tank. If you are just starting out (or restarting like me) then it's ideal. Just don't expect it to last.

After having used this tank for a little under a year now. I can review it fully. I’ll start with the filtration. The filtration is really good. It takes up the back part of your tank at the cost of extremely thorough filtration & when it comes to fish where you can spend a lot of money on them you will want to keep them alive. The tank comes with activated carbon and bio rings. I’ve since replaced my activated carbon with bio rings & use two sets. The pump chamber in this tank sometimes drops lower than the other chambers. After intense investigation my studies have concluded that this happens because of blockage in the filter media in the previous chamber. When the media becomes clogged it slows down the water passing into the pump chamber, while the pump still pumps out around 250l p/h so the difference is pumped out from the chamber. Imagine spending money faster than you’re getting it. You will need a source of money from somewhere else. Next I will talk about the stand. I purchased this tank without the stand. It would be better to get the stand with it as it will look better as a whole unit than just a glass box on a surface. As for the vertical bow front I believe a horizontal bow would have been a far superior manufacturing decision by fluval. The tank is only 40cm wide with a vertical bow front so unless you are looking at the tank front the front you will see a funny image. The reason fish tanks come with a horizontal bow is so that as you are seated around any room you can see a nice view of the fish from the front and from the sides of the aquarium. All in all five stars. Great starter tank!

Very sleek looking tank, love the ability to hide everything behind the filter as hate seeing all that stuff. Big enough to do some scaping and for some live plants. The 34l is the perfect size for a beta and the pump isn't too strong, something betas need is a slow flow, but there is loads of room for media which is great as so many small filters have so little room.I moved the sponge over to the first compartment as it should be sponge, then bio media so the biomedia doesn't get clogged up. Sponge is only course though so will probably swap it out and do a course, medium and fine layering for best results. The biomedia that came with it is nowhere near enough,I filled some media bags with biogravel and filled the middle compartment with it.Only have 2 complaints, the rubber mat that goes under it comes rolled up so tight it won't lay flat on its own, so trying to get the tank on it on my own was tricky as it just tried rolling back up. Second is the feeding hole in the top, its just left open and will let humid air out and even possibly a fish could jump out. I'm going to design and 3D print a little piece that slots in there that can easily be removed which will solve it, but I was expecting it to come with something.

I've just purchased the 57litere Fluval Flex and I have to say I'm pretty impressed.I bought it as an upgrade from my 10litre Marina tank, for my siamese fighting fish, as I felt that he deserved a bigger tank and some new tank mates. It's just him in there at the moment and there's plenty of room. :)I love the lighting system, there's so many different colours to choose from as well as three special settings, one being a thunderstorm, the other a night sky, and the last cycles through the colours. It's made an excellent nightlight as the tank is in my bedroom and since the light is remote controlled, I can switch it on and off from my bed. :)The entire filter system is completely hidden behind a black back panel. The actual filter is small but quite powerful, yet surprisingly quiet! The reason it's small is the actual filter pads and inserts sit outside the filter, in the middle of the back panel. I'm throughly impressed with the filter. The only negative I have to say is that for the price, I wish it came with a heater. I recently purchased a 55litre Aqua One tank at a similar price that came with the heater included. Luckily, they're not too expensive but it would have been nice to have had it included.

This is a really nice nano aquarium! Looks wise and functionality wise. It contains a great light that will support low to medium light requirement plants, a great filtration system and the overall look of it is beautiful.I love how all the equipment is tucked away in the back so it's hidden from view plus has extra compartments to add extra filter media if you wish. I had to take the carbon out and add floss instead as carbon isn't good for plant growth but I'll be using the carbon in my axolotl tank. The tank is still cycling so I haven't been able to add fish yet but the curved front makes the dragonstone and plants look amazing. The different light settings are a nice feature, though I mainly use the white setting, but other options are there if the mood strikes. My only gripe with this tank is that I have is on a timer and when it turns on in a morning, the default light setting is a low blue light and I have to change it back to white. But that's really not a massive issue at all.Overall I'm incredibly happy with this aquarium and it's features. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to start a sleek looking nano tank!

Just brought this tank (from P@H), sadly as the price is much cheaper here (£150 p@h). Everything you need, apart from decor is in the box. My daughter won 2 goldfish at a fair a zillion ago, didn’t expect them to live long so just got a cheap 15l tank.... as time went by and I don’t really pay much attention to them to be honest, I noticed how huge they were and that they have lived in that miserable tiny old tank for near to 12 years... time to treat them and show them some love, got this and loads of new decorations and just finished setting up. The lightening feature I’m sure will give them a heart attack! but it’s a nice, neat tank the curve is a nice touch and the colour lighting is really nice. The remote is hard to work and not very receptive. Other than I’m sure the fishy’s will think they’ve gone to heaven and if they grow anymore they will be the size of trout.. top marks from me as I’m not an avid fish keeper so really couldn’t comment on anything other than it works and looks nice!

Big fan of the design and size of the tank, perfect fit into my open wardrobe as you can see, very happy being all the wiring and equipment is hidden cleverly behind the tank.Just awaiting fish and interior accessories so hopefully tank will hold up to the job.Only downside being 2 points....1. The tank only came with one small UK adapter plug for the tank motor 2 pin plug. However the issue is that both the tank motor and lid LED lights are 2 pin plugs so you'll need to get and extra UK adapter for both parts to work.2. When the tank was delivered, it arrived in a larger outer brown cardboard box woth plastic strips all round it to keep it secure. My concern was in fact the condition of this outer box being it messy, squashed and roughly packaged....thankfully the tank box and tank itself was fine, but did before opening it make me worry.Overall though a decent tank, not 100% perfect but simple little things.....let's just hope this baby runs good when we get water and fish in it.

An almost perfect nano tank, so good I have two (one for the office desk, another in the cabinet beneath my bigger aquarium). It has a couple of quirks you need to be aware of but it's basically excellent. The good:Perfect size, good quality glass, good enough light for most plants, HUGE filter for the size of tank, has a nice compartment to hide equipment so you can concentrate on aquascaping, the bow front is appealing without causing eye strain, the light can adapt to any colour or intensity you like. The bad/ the quirks:The filter input slats are wide enough to admit baby shrimp and fish fry. The fix: Add some coarse sponge behind them.No heater is included. The fix: Add a heater. It fits in the pump compartment. It's tricky to get the light on an auto-timer as it defaults to night time mode. The fix: Link the light power supply plug to a cheap analogue timer adapter. Digital ones don't work."My fish keep dying". The fix: It's not the tank, it's you. :)Great little aquarium!

I love my fluval flex. I would have given 5 stars but you need to get something to cover the input holes to the rear chamber to prevent small fish escaping back there and getting stressed. The pictures on the box and fluval website itself and the shop I bought from said it was suitable for stocking with lots of small fish such as danios, minnows or tetras. These fish, unless a fully grown danio will get throughthe hholes into the rear chamber. You need to know this as set up so you can adapt the tank. Fluval make and sell "filter intake screens" which are designed to do the job and cost £2 from their website. Part number A14778. I have no idea why they don't supply them with the tank or send them to tank stockists.I lost 2 of my original 6 fish because I wasn't aware of this problem. Fluval sent me the screens as soon as I complained so I can't fault them for that.

I love this fish tank. I think I'm glad I got the black one after reading the algae issues with the white one mine looks great with the black background.I bought mine from the local fish store (same price too so result thete!) Mine also came with covers already over the filter intake so seems fluval are adding that now, however you will still need some foam cover in the back if you plan to have tiny fry in the tank as they can still slip through to the back.Pump flow is fine and not noisy on mine or particularly strong. Back chamber was big enough to add a 50w heater. I like that it is all out of sight.I don't have it overly stocked at the moment having separated out the female guppies and female fry (and ones i can't sex yet)from the male guppies.6 neon tetra3 adult male guppies2 3 week old male fry2 bristlenose catfish.

Got this as an upgrade as my fish got too big for my fluval flex. Very happy with it. although it cracked my stand and had to fork out another lump for the actual stand for it.I like live plants in the tank but the filter system failed to work and continually got clogged and the water level in the 3rd stage of filter would run dry, i would find water on the floor in the morning as the main part of the tank would overflow. The 2nd filter stage with the sponge was too big as well for the slot, I would have to make a gap to allow water flow through freely. I replaced all my plants with fake, this improved the filter system but my fish were not impressed as they would love a good graze on theplants.

Great mid sized tank setup, I like the way the filters and pump are hidden behind the false rear wall, looks great. Currently cycling the filters before I add the shrimp. I added sintered sand bio gravel to the filters and used sponge course and medium in the first section. I will have to block the slots in the rear wall with course filter foam to stop young fry from getting through to the filtersI like the led lights with the remote, only issue is there is no timer option but I will just use a timer plug as when the power to the lights comes back on the led lights seem to come back on with the same setting as when it was switched off.
