Part time runner - normally undertake half marathon and 10k every year. Started out with Asics about 7 years ago and stuck with then for about 5 years, then moved to Nike and then New Balance (both top end models). Went back to Asics with this purchase and was a great decision. These feel like a supportive shoe with cushioning - the Nike and New Balance just didn't absorb shocks that great or give support enough. I am a heavy runner too. Probably best running trainers I have had (recognising I am a part timer and acknowledging there are other quality running shoes out there).

I'm a fan of the style of these have have bought several different ones over the years. These provide the level of cushioning that feel good for me while generally being a good fit and being pretty robust.I can't fault the quality of these, they are the same as the others I've purchased but my only complaint is that they seem a little narrow compared to others I've had so I can't really wear them for more than a couple of hours at a time. Not too much of a problem but annoying as I wish they'd fit like the others.

Superb trainer..I got these as I’ve always skipped as part as my training..but after a few years not doing it (knee injury) I’ve just started skipping again but the trainers I had (good quality Adidas) weren’t helping with the impact..now these baby’s are excellent..like skipping on carpet..5* all the way

Without a doubt the best pair of trainers I've ever worn!!Durable, lightweight and extremely comfortable, I can't recommend them highly enough!!I have Asics squash shoes as well and they fit me perfectly. Maybe it's the shape of my feet but the Asics seem to fit me best over the other top brands.

I have been running in Asics since I took it up a few years ago. My last pair were GT1000-5s, so these shoes were a natural progression. Very comfortable fit and €50 cheaper than high street price. I would suggest you go up a full size when buying. I'm normally a UK11, I needed a UK12 in these.

Feels a little tight overall and the Achilles’ tendon protector bit (no idea what it’s called ) is lower than in previous versions and as a result the show somehow feels less secure on the foot .. lock lacing might fix it for you. But still it’s a lovely shoe .

Best support shoes ever! I have a flat feet and when I use to go for longer distance run it was always hearting. Knees and feet was out of order after 10k. This is my second gt1000, and I’m very happy with it!

They look like decent trainers but I am a size 9 and they were too tight especially width. Sending back and getting size 9.5. Shame as they are £5 more for half a size bigger!

Comfortable. The only thing is they had small black marks at the side of the soles. I decided to keep them, due to the fact i am doing a half marathon in two weeks time.

My first pair of Asics . They are well built but the left shoe did rub badly. Now on a replacement pair and will hopefully benefit when training for my first 10k

Not too heavy with plenty of cushioning for the longer runs. Fit as expected but if you have wide feet they may feel tight. Good shoe for the price.

Just had these shoes a few days but they’re already brilliant. Tried them out today for my run and they are extremely comfortable. Nice colour too.

this is my 2nd pair of these after just completing 800+ km in the previous pair. They are robust and strong as well as being very comfortable.

Well made i got them dirty and covered in mud chucked them in the washing machine and they came out looking new and still fit perfect.

These are a good colour and better than the photo. Was worried that they were slightly purple but they are a dark blue, almost Navy
