I absolutely love this jacket so far. I'm preparing for some winter mountaineering summits in Colorado and really want exceptional lightweight protection. I'm a popsicle most of the time, so I wanted something durable that would keep out the wind and keep me dry. I will happily update my review as the jacket takes on wear and tear and I put it through snowboarding and climbing in severe snow/rain conditions.I will say, this jacket is pricey! The Cardinal color in size medium was sold out almost everywhere, including Arc'teryx online. The brick-and-mortar stores were selling them at an increased price for $900!!! This thing is amazing. The last time I bought a new Gore-Tex coat was in 1996, so technology has come a long way since then. This thing definitely feels like I'll get another 20 year run out of it. Haven't had a chance to get out with it yet, but I have a lot of outdoor gear and this thing just feels comparably bullet proof. Also got a great price on it at $525 bucks, when retail is $750. Highly recommended!

Excellent product. Just did not fit me correctly. Fits me much more like a standard large. Perhaps this is how it’s supposed to fit, but it just doesn’t feel right to me. Plus I can’t wear/layer much of anything underneath.Superior product, just not for me , maybe xxl would work. We will see.

Tomahawked for a few seconds down the mountain at 13k feet and not a scratch on it. Keeps me warm and dry with a merino baselayer and my Atom LT midlayer in 0F temps with 30MPH winds while skiing. Feels like it could handle a lot more too. Glad it was made in Canada too.

So far so good. Believe it or not this keeps me warm with just a thermal underneath it while active snowshoeing in the mid teens. Paired with a mid layer that should keep me crazy warm during my ski to work. Defense are very easy to unzip and I are a great feature

I’ve had my alpha Jacket for over 10 years and it still looks new. It was £600 back then.If you think this is an expensive jacket, buy a less quality brand and see how much you spend in the long run.

Excellent, very high quality product. It's expensive, but it's the last waterproof (very) shell you'll ever buy. Use the sizing chart on the Arc'teryx website and you'll get the fit you need.
