I am 6’, 140lbs - I’m tall and I’m thin. Arcteryx’s trim fit is great for me. And as we all know, they make excellent products. But I couldn’t eat the price tag. I have no doubt this would have been a great jacket - just there’s nothing that you gain from this over competitors jackets despite the significantly higher price. In fact, you actually lose a couple features while picking up all that extra cost.I ended up with the Rab Microlight for a solid hundo less. But you get 30D outer fabric instead of 10D, hydrophobic down, and the fit is comparable if not a little better. The rab is still trim fit but it’s a little longer, which I like for keeping drafts out - but might not be as nice for a mid layer if it ends up being longer than your outer layer.

I bought this jacket as a layer for a long, cold hike. It performed excellently and was easy and light to stash when it wasn't needed - and believe me, every pound counts when you are carrying a heavy backpack! It is also stylish enough to wear everyday so I am getting a lot of wear out of it. A great investment!
