I bought a BenQ PD3200U 32 Inch 4K Graphic Design Monitor, 3840 x 2160 UHD monitor to work with my MacBook Pro (2018) which only has USB C ports out. To connect the monitor to the computer I used the HDMI port of a Inateck USB C 9 Port USB Docking Station that had recently bought. I was very disappointed with the quality of the picture and started blaming the monitor so I phone the BenQ help line. They asked if I was using the Apple USB-C Digital AV Multi-port Adaptor and if not try one before doing anything else.Having had this advice I bought the Apple adapter and fitted it not expecting any difference. How wrong could I be as it solved all the problems and the picture is now just what I had hoped for originally.

I bought this to connect between my iPad pro and my Samsung TV. A previous, generic, much cheaper AV adaptor would not do the job with any of my 4 HDMI cables.This one did work with 3 of my 4 HDMI cables but would not connect on the thinnest/cheapest. The failed cable worked fine between my Blue Ray player and the same TV.You can read plenty of articles explaining why all HDMI cables are the same and not to waste your money on the expensive ones. Clearly this is not always true and it would be nice to know why.

This allows for HDMI and also external drive for my MacBook Air 2020. It is too expensive for what it is but it saves putting in and pulling out other leads. I would have preferred it to be a bit longer.
