This is so much better than I thought it might be, much better quality too. It might be an Amazon Basic but good quality.Have had another make before but that did not last long and it made those horrible plastic noises every time the dog or anyone sat on it. This one does not, also this feel harder wearing and not likely to rip even with scratchy paws on it. Luckily enough pup does not tend to have accidents in car so the seatbelt gaps do not become a problem, but just something to be careful of if a car sick dog in car. It could slip down the gaps by seat belt. Easy to keep folded up till use in cardboard box it comes in and no nasty creases in it after use, so no chance of it suddenly ripping.Think this one will be kept in boot of my car not just for dog use but also any garden centre plant buying trips, saves soil on seats and any water from them, and not noisy like plastic bags are.Next job trip to tip and some bits that need shifting, but this should save my seats from getting mucked up, especially if raining. I prefer the bench seat style rather than the hammock one as at least you can get more use out of this. Other people can also sit in back and not just for dog use, plus if your dog does not like being in the back of car on his own this is more suited.Easy to fit, but does rely on your car having headrest to secure the top part to the seats. I have a Nissan Juke and it covers the seats really well. Yes not just for pets but for protecting your back car seats from dirt and mess, will be really useful come winter if it snows and need to keep car seat dry from pup after snowy walks.It came in a brown box then inside another smaller one which is ideal for storing it in when not in use.

I have two male creatures which features hugely in my life, one is Larry the Lupo (car) and the other is Jimmy the Labrador ( beloved pet). They do not really get on given that Jimmy when wet after a walk manages to deposit mud and gunge on Larry which is a pain to get out. I previously dealt with this by spreading four specific towels across Larry’s two back seats and vaguely tucking them in. This did not really work, given that as soon as Jimmy landed on Larry’s back seats and turned around a lot before settling down the towels ended up in a heap and Jimmy ended up on the seat!The Amazon Waterproof Car Bench Seat Cover for Pets therefore looked a winner. It was easy to attach,Larry the Lupo conveniently having the back seat headrests which anchor the cover in the vertical plain of the back seat (how it would fare without headrests I am not sure). I got it snug and secure in under five minutes. The material proved a little slippy when the dog actually landed but Jimmy has a poorly hip and sits strangely which may account for that.Jimmy’s favoured walks are a car ride away and this rather moist summer has provided excellent testing grounds for this cover given that Jimmy enjoys mud and puddles so much. These ended up on the cover, which proved easy to clean with a damp cloth and did indeed spare poor Larry's poor posterior seats.Jimmy (thankfully) never has liquid accidents in the car, which would have proved a rather greater challenge given that the cover has holes for the seat belt attachments to come through, so actually it worked like a dream and both the car and the dog are happy, as am I!

I have put this bench style cover into my fiat panda 06-12 style with no split rear seat or headrests.The fabric and construction of this is very good. It is thick and hard-wearing.The packaging is spot on as with most Amazon basics products.This is not elasticated around the edges like a fitted sheet, but rather relies on straps to hold it in place.The seat back section is shorter (less depth?) than the part you sit on. For my car the seat is actually the smaller part so this combined with my lack of head rest means that I have installed this 'upside down' as such the corner straps that would normally do the base are slid over the corners of the seat back and held in place by plastic bits that are already in my car.The centre weights still fit to go though between the two parts and the gaps for the seat belt clasps are still well positioned. The head rest straps hand down but do not get in the way.These are not complete protection for example from spillages or leaks (from children or animals) but offer protection from indelicate use, claws, rough uses etc.This will now not come off my car seat until I either get a newwer/better one or I sell the car as I feel I benefit from what it offers.A better / more flexible fit would have given this 5 stars.

This cover is an ideal and inexpensive alternative to the staple throw/blanket solution for the back seat of your car.The cover has 2 straps with clips that go round the headrests to hold up the back of the cover and two diagonal pieces of elastic that are intended to hook under the seat to hold the base in place.There are even slots to allow access to the seatbelt clasps for when there are human occupants in the rear seats meaning no more moving of the blanket/throw when the pooch has to share their seat.The cover seems of good strong material and what little dirt has gotten on it so far has brushed away easily once dried.This is a universal cover so snugness of fitment will vary,on our Zara Picasso its fit is not the best but there are not significant parts of the seat exposed and despite the efforts of our pooch it has stayed firmly in place so far, however because the fit isn't totally snug for us I've (maybe harshly) knocked off a star.However for the price and quality of the material I'm more than liking it

Sometimes, you just need a waterproof seat cover for your car, especially if you have kids who like to get muddy or jump in puddles (up to their waists!), a dog who loves to swim, or even if you yourself have accidentally slipped over and fallen into a pond or something. Anyway... this cover is a bit fantastic. It has all you need to fit it into a regular family car - holes to slip over the headrests, buckles to tie it to the seat - and is made of a durable material that is definitely waterproof. In fact, as well as fitting it on my backseat, I'd also like to try it in the boot of my car. More than anything, I think this will be perfect for any seaside trips where someone needs to get changed in the back of the car.Especially with all that sand to contend with. Thumbs up for this product!

I was expecting a thin raincoat(kagool) material to arrive. How wrong was I! Once again I'm amazed at such a quality product from a Basic range. Amazon 10/10 for producing this product at a brilliant price.Bought for my Audi A3 (2014) and fits perfect.HOWEVER one negative (AMAZON I HOPE YOU ARE READING!)...If you have a proper middle seat belt, not lap belt, you will have to cut a slit from the buckle hole up to the top to enable the proper seat belt to be used. I hope Amazon read this, as this item could be altered, by manufacturing this product with a Velcro seam to accommodate all cars.I still give this item five stars as the quality is thick and durable. There is also little weights built in so cover hangs down at bottom.Little details like that are why I love Amazons range!

I have bought similar products in the past and this compares really well. It covers the back seat and has handy gaps to allow the seat belt stems to poke through should you want to use the seat belts at the same time as having the cover in situ. It can be secured easily by the clip ties that go around the head rests and there are additional fixings at the bottom should you want it to be extra secure. The fabric is durable and easy to sponge down ( don't be tempted to wash it in the machine as the protective backing will disintegrate). If you don't want to use it on the back seat it can be used to line your boot instead.It is handy to use at any time you want to keep your car clean- such as journeys to the tip as well as transporting your dog.

I was mainly concerned about the sturdiness of the cloth, that it wouldn’t tear with scrabbling claws of Callum struggling to get into the car, but it has stood up to normal wear and tear quite nicely on trips with my golden retriever on at least a daily basis.As we will be moving back to live nearer the coast soon, as issue for us is the protection of seawater upon the car upholstery - this cover looks strong enough to cope with it. I would suggest still having a few old towels handy though…!Although I am unsure of the price of this product, as it is an Amazon Basics item, my conclusion must be that it proves good value for money.

I can't find anything 'basic' about this seat cover from the AmazonBasics range as it compares well to similar products on the market.It is made from a plastic-backed robust fabric that is does a good job of protecting your seat which is easy to sponge down and also to vacuum to get rid of those annoying pet hairs.It is a well-finished seat cover, with neat slits to accommodate seat belts when using a car harness on your dog.It is easy to fit using straps around the rear headrests and can also be attached at the base for an extra secure fit; but it can be very quickly and easily removed when required.Definitely recommended!

I have tried many different car seat covers over the past 4-5 years, and I can honestly say that this is the best quality by far. I have this fitted in a 2005 Honda Civic, and it fits really well. The cover is very thick and seems very durable. I transport my dog every single day, and have also carried junk to the tip, sharp offcuts of wood etc and the cover shows absolutely no signs of wear.I have previously tried slightly cheaper alternatives online (around £6-8) and they always seem very thin and puncture very easily.This however, will last for years and I highly recommend it to anyone.

Surprisingly thick and generous size. It is canvas feel on one side and a plastic surface on the other. There are well tailored slits for seat belts and nylon straps with adjustable click fastenings for the head rests.It is just as useful to lay flat in the boot as a protector when bringing all those bedding plants from the garden centre. It is big enough to cover the area with the back seats down in a small hatchback. Use it plastic side up for easy cleaning in the boot, use it canvas side up for a back seat cover.Good quality and recommended. Any questions please leave a comment.

I had one of these a while ago and handy it was until the retaining straps and clips broke. That what comes with having a lively dog in the back of the car! This Amazon Basics job is pretty identical in style and construction to my last back seat cover in that it uses strong waterproofed vinyl material and is secured by using nylon straps and push to fit fasteners to secure to head rests. Unfortunately, if your car does not have rear head rests and a lot of cars don't, then securing it can require some invention. Especially if your car has fixed back seats.

As a dog walker, I occasionally need to travel a dog on the back seat (with harness and seatbelt attachment). This seat cover is amazing, it fits my '08 Honda CR-V really well, is easy and quick to fit and has several good 'anchor' points to help it stay in place (elastic straps to go around the front/side of the seat, Velcro for seat belts to go through and weighted fabric to slide under seat near the seatbelt holes). Material feels thick and good quality - and it should do the job of keeping my seat looking less like a muddy puddle!

The AmazonBasics Waterproof Car Bench Seat Cover arrived in a frustration free box, which is easy to open and provides a leaflet with clear instructions how to use. The cover has a water-proof backing and is very and is of a good quality material. It fitted our car easily and we are quite happy for the dog to sit on the back seat if he is damp. We have also used this cover in a tent with this laying on top of a sleeping bag and the dog on top. A good all-round design. If considering this purchase it is well worth the asking price.

Absolutely fantastic, no nonsense, easy to fit and machine washable so it's goodbye to tedious valeting of the backseat every time our dog travels on it. There literally are no frills and the seat cover is fitted inside of two minutes with minimal fuss and effort. The design is plain black but that's no bad thing and the material is thick enough to allay any fears of it ripping. There are small holes for seat belt buckles to go through and when it's ready for washing it is very easily detached and in to the washer. Love it.
