I thought I'd take a chance on this cat bed, even with the polarised reviews of this product. I'm glad we did.The item is very simple to assemble, the instructions are pretty clear, the only thinking moment was working out the shorter side of the cover, (indicated by the care label). It was all assembled in about 5 mins, even while watching the TV.The reason for buying this type of cat radiator bed over others was that the metal frame provided more bracing against bending than a standard cheaper one. This is absolutely the case. We have a 6kg+ cat, our previous frame was bent from the horizontal within about a month, rendering useless. This frame however is much better braced and a much thicker tubing. The cover has no defects so far.The missing star is due to the fact that it could have been a little bigger, now this may only be an issue for our massive cat, but he hasn't fallen out and looks pretty comfy every time we pass him by.A well engineered piece of kit and glad we took a punt in the end.

Being a person who enjoys the simple things you can imagine my excitment after returning home to find the considerate delivery person had kindly left my parcel behind the bin rather than by the front door in plain sight, i happily opened the box to find to my horror it required screws to fit together, after trying a flat headed screw driver which i ended up impaling myself with i at last found a phillips small enough in the cutlery drawer (where else?) Where was my complimentary mini screw driver to make it slightly easier i ask you? So i eventually pieced it all together the cover being a very tight fit! I skipped up the stairs to find my radiators are too wide for my lovely new cat bed you need slim radiators people i have since learned to look more carefully at the pictures.I plopped it down in front of the radiator and presented it to the cat with a ta da! She looked at me like she hated my guts and walked away. All in all a great bed if i was a cat i'd lay in it

We have two large cat's both love this new bed, we got it as the older cat sits in the window falls asleep on the thin windowsill and rolls over in his sleep falling off the sill. This bed fitted onto the radiator under the front window, he sleeps peacefully in the hammock, and can't roll off. When he wakes and sits up in the bed he can see out of the window. However, he had competition for the hammock bed with our younger cat, who having tried it now makes a beeline for it as soon as the older cat moves out of it. Crimbo and Bumble give mews of delight as they sit in it having a wash before they settle down to sleep. They prefer it on the radiator to being on the floor. It is very sturdy, well made and suitable for larger cats, others we've seen have been cheaper made with thin frames which we didn't think would hold our larger cats. We buy a lot of Rosewood toys which are also great quality, another quality product from Rosewood.

I have tried a few (in fact reviewed another on here that I bought) and this has to be the best. A bit more effort at putting together but a well constructed item. Great for a large cat or small dog as it's so sturdy. (Have even used it to put my feet up!) It loops over the radiator and tilts upwards slightly. It does come out from the radiator quite far, but that means big cats have plenty of room. My smallest cat, who is very thin and craves the heat, even sits across the top to get the convector heat coming up so it's wide enough at the top for a small cat (see photo). I have even had 2 on there at once. The lambs wool cover is on the (slightly neon) yellow side rather than cream/white but I think that will wash out.But my black cats look nicely framed! There's always a fight about who is sitting on it, so it's very popular.

I had two of these for my very large cat (6.5kg) and he loves them. I had one in the lounge and one in the spare room - always uses it rather than the armchair or sofa. I now have a new kitten so bought two more as there was a bit of an argument over which cat was going to sleep in the hammock each evening. Yes they can be a tad fiddly to put together but once done they are quite sturdy - I have not had any issues with the material ripping.Shame that you cannot purchase just the material section as one of the older hammock (purchased 3.5 years ago) is really starting to look very worn now. I would not hesitate to buy another one to replace this which will probably happen in the next couple ofmonths.

On to our second one of these, after the first wore out (lasted nearly four years though, so we're not complaining), very thankful it hasn't been discontinued like many others. So long as you're careful pulling the fleece cover over it, it fits fine with no tears. No problems putting it together, the only comment with the new one, is the frame isn't as sturdy as the old one. Thankfully we kept the old frame and have just put the new cover on the old frame.Size wise, it's not the biggest, our 6kg boys don't even attempt to go on it, they're far too big, but our little girl just about fits at 4kg (see photo). She's thrilled it's still made as it's her favourite place to sleep in the house.

I would have give the cat bed 5 stars on everything.... Its sturdy with thick bars for even the fatest cats lool it was easy to put together BUT the final bar was a B*#! H to put on and never ended up being out on ( still works).. The reason it didn't go on is because the holes ( for the buttons) hadn't been smoothed inside, leaving the excess metal inside and not allowing the bar to slid in... I tried to make it smoother inside for a good half hour to no avail ( didn't have tools for a job like that)..... I was going to return but since it still did what I wanted I haven't bothered... Apart from that I'm pleased with the comfort, sturdy structure and size of this cat bed

I have two of these beds now as both my cats love them. Assembly is not 100% straightforward. This is mainly because it isn't totally clear which parts are which in the manual, and partly because the fittings don't fit together cleanly. I had to use a pen to gouge out plastic from some of the screw fittings. However once it is fitted together it is very solid. My cats are 4.1kgs and 4.5kgs respectively and they are very easily supported in these beds. I imagine they could support much heavier cats because the metal frame is sturdy, unlike some other designs. And as I said, the cats love them - they are super comfortable - whether or not the heating is on!

Loved this so much we bought a second one a couple of weeks after (and my cats would sure love one in each room given the chance!). Good quality and sturdy. Easily fits wider radiators and very secure. It's the favourite place for our 2 to sleep, the first took to it in seconds, the other followed a day later. Large enough for one big cat or two smallish kittens. Mine are now 7+ months and they like to curl up on one together even though space is now getting a little tight for the two of them. Knack to putting them up - fit the cover over each half of the metal (top and bottom) before you slot together, nice and easy that way. Excellent product.

Bought this over several of the others on offer as the frame seemed that it would be sturdier, and it was, so I'm glad that I spent the few pounds more. I do agree with other reviewers that assembly can be a little fiddly, but it's not the Krypton Factor, I got there in the end. I put an extra blanket on top at first, not because the cover is flimsy - it's not - but because my cat has a crush on the gray blanket. OVerall very pleased and would definitely recommend. For scale, although my kitty looks enormous, she's just very fluffy - weighs 3.5kg and measures about 12" from shoulders to the base of her tail

This bed doesn't fit completely over my radiator. We had to adjust it slightly, and the cover seems to have been sewn a little wonky but I really like the fact that the frame is good and sturdy, and I will be able to sew my own covers to go on it in the future. Although it didn't fit great on the radiator at first and we did have to adjust it, it's better quality than the cheap one from Argos and I do really like it, as do the cats :) it's a nice size and looks nice in my living room too. I might get another for the bedroom :)

After trying my cat with several cat beds with him just ignoring them I decided to take the plunge and get one of these. At first I was apprehensive as due to the fact he has never wanted to sleep on a cat bed before and preferred either sleeping on the floor or furniture. This product was easy to assemble although a little fiddly at times. As you can see from the photo he has taken to it very well which I am pleased about. This cat bed also fits on the old style radiators we have. Very pleased with this product.

It is useful being able to go on the floor as well but on the small side. My cat sits like a pea on a drum on it, doesn't look very comfortable at all, but she will have to put up with it for now. I have had better ones in the past and rather wish I had bought a more straight forward one - easier to wash too. having to dismantle the whole thing to wash the cover is off putting, depends how keen you are to fiddle about with screw drivers every time. wouldn't buy it again that's for sure.

I bought this for my daughter's six month old kitten - she had a couple of the cheaper ones which offer little comfort and are not really suitable for larger cats. This fits her living room radiator perfectly and there is the option for cats to use it as a chair. It is larger and wider than most radiator beds so the kitten is able to fully stretch out. Very happy with it - Also very sturdy! The radiator bed is also very reasonably priced.

So easy to put together. Our girl does not like being on the floor so a standard cat bed has not done the job, but she gets nervous with unsteady surfaces too. I chose this based on reviews and it is certainly as robust as it leads one to believe. She spends her whole day on this, where she can watch the family from a prime, luxurious viewing spot. And we finally have our armchair back! Brilliant quality for the price.
