Well, I bought this to help settle in an adoptive cat we have taken in. She's about a year, and this cat bed is certainly roomy enough for her. Unlike a couple of other reviews I've seen on here, I did receive the product in the picture. It has brown fake fur all over it (even the base)and inside it too. The white 'toes' on the paw image are three cat toys, fluffy and on a bouncy bit of elastic each. The scratching pad ontop seems durable enough, and the way it slopes does seem to encourage our cat to use it.I say be aware because when I was initially inspecting the bed, I ran my fingers along any edges and found the fake fur covering wasn't very well joined on the bottom of the bed entrance.

I bought this originally for my Bunty who is 16 years old and a bit doddery and feels the cold. It arrived within two days or so - I was amazed. I got it out of the pack, fluffed it up and put Bunty in it - but she just put her nose up and walked off!! However, I have 19 cats (have a cat home here as well as part time job in London) and my other cats are taking it in turns, honestly, to kip in this Cosy. It is really good value and excellently made - and if you put your hand inside it, it is like a very soft cuddly fleece - no wonder they love it - and it is a private place they can snuggle down for the night (or day if they are like my cats!). My cats love it - and it looks good too,

I rarely do reviews (haven't the time) but this product deserves a top mark review. I spent over 2 hours looking at numerous cat beds, igloos and caves before deciding to buy this one. It is excellent in every way, and well worth the price. Beautifully made, sturdy, and covered in the softest 'fur' material - which does NOT moult. I love that the inner cushion is so full and plump, but washable, as we have 3 new kittens arriving today. The nose has a bell inside, the ears crackle, the back is a scratching area, the pupils are soft pom poms, on elastic, and the tail is a piece of sturdy string Access is either through the eyes or at the back. I am highly delighted with this product and only wish that I had also bought the 'cat face'

Received this item last week 18/11/11 and its purrrfect!! - my cats all jumped in the day it arrivedPurchased because I only have 1 fleece donut shared between my three cats - which is usually not a problem but with the weather getting colder and my hallway being drafty - they are all now fighting for it.So purchased one cushy cat cave as wasn't sure of the quality or the size. I am pleased to advise it is excellent quality - even I wish I was sleeping in there!! - off to purchase another one now for my other cat.I have 1 small and 1 medium adult size cat and they can fit in the cave - though I doubt an average size small dog can fit in this cave as my largest cat is the cat of average small dog and he cannot fit in it.For info the dimensions of this cave is approximately:Length (41cm)

I bought this as my Bengal cat sleeps in the kitchen but insists of having the window open, causing a draught oftentimes.When I first got it she wouldnt get inside it, instead laying on the outside squashing it down...However with a bit of encouragement (catnip mouse) she ventured inside and now loves it, choosing to sleep in it at night, day, basically anytime as well as cleaning herself in it (likes the privacy I guess)I thought it was quite expensive for a cat bed however it appears to be very good quality and Madam loves it so I am happy. I will try and sneak up and get a photo of her in it.Was initially worried it would be too small however it is perfect size enough room for her to wash herself and seems able to sleep in all her favourite positions,

I got these hooded cave beds for our cats as special presents at Xmas to replace their usual stations on the couch. Initially they seemed a bit bemused by them but gradually got the idea. They now use them sporadically, in between commandeering the couch, but when they do it is usually accompanied by purring. The beds themselves are really well made and very cosy and plush, with a removable inner cushion that can be washed if needed, so great value for money. Mine came in a flattened state that required plumping up. At least they look better than scruffy blankets when we have guests! As cat beds are all quite expensive these days, the cheaper ones being pretty sad affairs,

Loved the price and now the product (just got it). It looks great, very snug and warm and I'm sure my little sphynx will love it. If not well, that's not the product fault and don't see why some people don't give it the 5 stars it deserves if their cat doesn't go in. Size wise is perfect and again, to give less stars because you chose the wrong size is unjust. Product description comes with measurements and there are different sizes so just be careful with what you order. The one I got was the medium size. This is suitable for medium to small adult cats or even a kitten. Definitely not for cats size of a Main Coon! As for dogs, ideal for small ones like chihuahua, pekinese,

This is an absolutely fantastic product. It is heavy and well made, with a decent scratching area on the top of the mouse that all of my cats and kittens really love. The inside was used for a short time for cat naps but mostly as a place to hide to ambush passing tails without detection. The major plus for me however was the shape of the item - we took in three rescue kittens shortly after buying a leather sofa; the kittens were too small to be able to jump up onto the arm of the sofa without clawing their way up the last few inches. This product, placed alongside the sofa, gave them the run up that they needed and prevented too many claws and subsequent scratches in the sofa.

I'm really pleased with this. It looks like the product picture and is well made. I bought this for my 1 year old kitten to replace a scratching pad that's got an appointment with the bin and also as a little place to sleep and ambush my 6 year old cat but unfortunately, the older cat fits in it too! I didn't expect this as he's a chunky ragdoll but no, he can just about squeeze in there so the kitten has some comptetition for the latest hidey hole. They haven't used the scratching pad yet and the kitten appears to miss her old pad but I have no doubt this'll become a favourite place to nap and scratch in time. Excellent value for money.

I bought this for my cat for Christmas (she wants my laptop to blow up, but I'd rather not, so she got a bed instead). For 13 years, she has never slept in a cat bed. She turned her nose up at them. Then I got this cos I've recently found out I'm allergic to cat dander, so she can't sleep on my bed or in my room any more (sigh). Anyway, the bed turned up, I showed it to her, and she looked the other way. I put it behind her on the sofa and went to the kitchen. Came back and kitty was magically inside the cat bed. I bought it over a week ago, and she's been it in almost constantly. I totally recommended this for all kitties...

This is a nice item, it looks good and my cats love it, they like to hid and then jump around your legs as soon as you walk by lol The quality of it is great, this can be a scratching post and a bed all in one plus nice design so fits in my living rooms well.Quite expensive if you as me but my cats are worth it so that is all that matters, they said it would take 1 additional day to be delivered this ended up being 2 days, I contact Amazon who were helpful and gave me something as this was late.Overall great product if you love cats then you cat will be happy if you buy them one.

I bought this for my 16 year old cat. He's recently been diagnosed with hyperthyroid so he's dropped a lot of weight and I was concerned about him not being warm enough with the cold weather coming. This cave is so cozy looking! It has a little pillow bed on the inside that you can easily remove to wash.My cat was scared of the cave and would not go anywhere near it which I was really disappointed about but I left it near his favorite spots anyway and sure enough one day I couldn't find him and he was in his little cave house!Adorable - a recommended buy

My 9 week old kitten LOVES this. We bought it because she gets cold at night in the room she sleeps in so this was the perfect answer. The fluff is an extra bonus as she attacks it with great enthusiasm. I would say it looks a little bigger in the picture than it is - but this was a good thing as I was worried it would be too big but actually was fine. Shes weighs about 1 Kg and its great for her - still some growing room. I would worry about my 10 year old cat trying to get in it though as I dont think he'd fit so def for cats on the smaller side of things.

Both my dogs - a yorkie and a chihuahua - just loved these warm 'cave' beds. The chihuahua is only 3 months old so I have washed his (the whole thing) several times and it always comes up looking like brand new! These are especially ideal for the colder winter months that are on their way right now! On the nights that turn warmer, the dogs climb out and sleep on top of the beds and as both the dogs weigh uner 8lb this doesn't damage the bed in any way. Well worth every penny of the cost of these beds!

I took a punt buying this, as my eight year old Bengal has never taken to igloo beds in the past and generally prefers a cardboard box! But no sooner had I turned my back after unpacking it than she had curled up in it and fallen asleep, and has only left it briefly since to eat and drink. The bed itself is well made and quite roomy, though it doesn't look big enough for a large cat to fit into. Well, if she leaves it for long enough my other cat might try and see if he can squeeze into it!
