I am reviewing the huge 5 ream pack which is absolutely super value at £ 15.99 for all 5 reams making it £3.20 a ream. Wonderful value for really very good , ordinary weight ,multifunction paper. It works in copiers ,printers, inkjets and fax machines and so on.. There are so really good and interesting differences about it as below;. It is A4 and comes wrapped as 5 separate reams in a good quality , easy to store paper box.Chlorine-Free & Archival QualityUnlike chlorine-bleached paper, which can be harmful to the environment, Amazon Basics copy paper offers an excellent chlorine-free, environmentally beneficial alternative. The paper works well for high-volume printing, and it’s archival quality—great for important documents, historical information, or valuable legal documents and publications.FSC CertifiedAmazonBasics multi-purpose copy paper is FSC certified. FSC certification means it comes from responsibly and carefully managed forests that offer economic, social, and environmental benefits. The ream of paper arrives in standard packaging. So it is not just any old paper but responsibly source and made and good for acid free need for lasting documents. There is no mention of recycling. It is a little softer than my normal supermarket paper and I do not know how the weight compares but, for me, it works really well for the printer and for the massive amount of hand writing I do . I also draw and it is good practice paper that works well with pen and pencil .... great for kids at a cheap price.I am delighted with this and say well done Amazon for responsibly sourced paper at such a great price.

Amazon basics multi function paper is suitable for use with inkjet and laser printers as well as photocopiers and plain paper faxes. It is fairly standard 80gsm paper and most people will be familiar with the quality of this type of paper: might I suggest that this type of paper is used universally worldwide in offices.I found d that the paper is fine to print on and feels like reasonable paper. So far I have not experienced any paper name like you can with really cheap paper. All in all, might I suggest that this is a good quality paper. So are there any caveats? Yes I am afraid I have one - it is price. At £6.70 per ream as at 14th March 2017, I feel that it is a trifle over-priced when compared to competitors, some of which are branded and over a £ cheaper per ream and if purchasing in quantities of 2500 sheets of more, significantly cheaper. As this is a "basics" products, might I suggest that a sub £5.50 per ream would attract that 5th star - sorry Amazon, good product, but a bit pricey for what it is and no discount for bulk purchases.

I looked around a lot for paper which could be delivered the next day, and this one seemed to be the only one available at a reasonable price. I took a punt, and happy I did so.The paper is 80 gsm, meaning it's not very thick. The high the gsm the closer you get to actual card. I like to print on 90 or 100 gsm for reports and things, but 80 gsm is fine for everyday printing of letters, lists, etc. This paper is perfect for that. The colour is a brilliant white. I actually like it. I have bought reams from other companies, where they claim to be white, but they are just a little off. This is a nice colour.Printing is pretty much spot on, there is no bleeding, and the paper is not that thin where you would need to print in economy mode, although saying that, you should ALWAYS be printing in economy mode to save money on the ridiculous print cartridge prices. All in all, good paper and worth buying as it works out to be £4.20 a ream, which I find pretty reasonable when you compare it to others.

This A4 (210 x 297 mm) printer paper feels lighter and thinner than the paper I usually order for my printer. I always order the standard 80 gsm quality like this, and the 500 sheets weigh the same as the other brands I use (2.5 kg), so it must be the fact that the paper feels softer to the touch that tricks the brain.Anyways, it’s good for printing and drawing on and it is of a quality that will archive and store well.Price-wise, I can say that I usually pay around £2.80-£3 for a ream of 500 sheets - of course depending on the quantity I order; the bigger order, the lower price. Another main factor when buying printer paper is whether it is recycled or in any other way reduces the impact on the environment and this is FSC certified (from responsibly managed forests).Even so, I think that the current price for this, £6.70, seems a bit high. I would think that £4.5-£5 is more reasonable. But then again maybe increasing the paper costs that much is the true way forward to less wastage…

I was impressed with this paper. It's made in France so not too far away and hopefully under decent working conditions, which boosts its ethical and ecological credentials, as does the FSC certification. The packaging is simple but good, with thick and shiny wrapping which protects the paper well - it's even slightly water resistant so if you wiped off a spill quickly you should be able to save the paper inside. It's 80gsm which is a good standard - the cheaper papers tend to be 70gsm and get stuck more easily. It's bright, smooth and feels and looks as good as any known brand,At £5.99 a ream it's not especially good value, but at £15.99 for five reams it's certainly the best value I've seen for the quality on offer.I have yet to be disappointed by an Amazon Basics product - they really do tend to be genuinely good quality for a fair price so I think the bargain-basement packaging, which is reminiscent of really cheap supermarket ranges, doesn't do it credit.

This AmazonBasics multi-purpose copy paper is a good quality bright white paper that can be used for printing with laser or inkjet printers, photocopiers and fax machines – it is also good for general writing and drawing. The paper is standard UK A4 in size (210 mm by 297 mm) with a weight of 80 gsm; it is available as a single 500 sheet ream or as a really good value five ream package where each ream works out at under half the price of buying as a single ream. This French-produced paper is FSC certified (from responsibly managed forests), environmentally-friendly being chlorine-free and it is of archival quality making it great for printing important documents that need to last a long time without deteriorating. This is an excellent paper for everyday use and as good as many big named brands I've used in the past – five stars for quality and value as a five ream pack, four stars for value as a single ream.

This is a decent value, decent quality 5 ream pack of mixed use A4 paper. It works great with a range of devices, from laser printers and copiers to ink-jets. On the latter the quality isn't the best simply because the paper is fairly light-weight (80g) and the grain not the smoothest. If you look closely then there is a tiny amount of ink spread. It's OK, so not a big deal. Depends how fussy you are. On balance tho', if you look at the price of around £3.20 per ream delivered then it's pretty good. You can't really go wrong. More expensive paper is going to do a tad better, but this is really ideal for general office use, i.e. internal documents. For external use I'd prefer a tad more gloss coat and maybe a tad heavier ...but you have to pay for that, sometimes significantly more. So to me a solid 4**** product that fairly priced for the intended market.

5 packs of 500 sheets each come in at £15 or £3 a pack - which is 25% cheaper than Sainsbury's paper that I normally get delivered with my groceries.Comparing it with the Sainsbury's paper - this one is certified chlorine free and is FSC certified and made in France. The Sainsbury's / Hewlett Packard everyday paper has similar ecocredentials - it is not certified chlorine free but has an EU ecolabel with low air and water pollution and restricted use of hazardous substances. The Amazon paper feels a little smoother than the comparator. The main difference I can see is that the HP paper says it uses colour lock technology so colour printing comes out more brightly - the Amazon basics paper makes no such claims and stresses its suitability for ordinary everyday office use.So maybe your choice depends on how much colour printing you do.

My 5000 sheets arrived well-packed, but the plastic cord wrapped around the heavy box had dug into the top and bottom edges of the box, and upon examining the separate reams, the long edges of the sides of the paper inside had indeed been visibly indented. No doubt the damaged paper edge of a small number of sheets will not be a problem, especially if I use it for rough drafts work. Not really something to complain about, but worth mentioning. The paper itself is a good weight, 80g/square metre, and a good balanced shade of white, and feeds through my EPSON WP-4535 printer as it should.I will definitely buy again when required. And 5 reams for around 20 quid, including speedy postage,is a pretty good deal. The speed of delivery was like 'greased lightening'.. really very quick. But that is AMAZON PRIME for you !!!

This feels like slightly better quality paper than the paper I usually use and don't let the brand name AmazonBasics make you think that this is something which is low quality or cheap. It has been tried out for copying, printing documents for work and also just use for colouring in and shopping lists, all of which it has handled as you would expect. I like the fact that this is archive quality and of course that it is FSC certified, but the price for a single ream at the time of writing is steep. At nearly £6 a ream, I can't see myself buying it, but at £16 for 5, it is amazing value. It's a shame the that the price for 1 ream isn't more proportionate,as I don't particularly like stockpiling lots of paper at home - but we will order a box at work!

I was a bit hesitant to get this paper because of some of the negative reviews. I decided to go for it anyway because the price was cheap enough for me to take the risk and I'm glad I did. I bought this multipurpose paper mainly for printing and so far the paper has played nice with my HP printer and had no issues with the ink. Whilst the paper might not be the best quality I've ever seen or used it is good enough for me. It's good enough for taking notes and writing letters. Its got a good weight and feel, with a crisp optic white finish that makes it look far from cheap. I think it's quality is definitely above average and for it's price that actually represents good value for money.if you're on a low budget I highly recommend this paper

Well when it comes to paper i am no afficianado, paper is paper! But this stuff is the real deal.. I qualify myself as an expert as i have watched every episode of the "American" The Office and Dwight or Jim could not have sold a better quality box of paper. It will sit majestically in your office, in pride of place, or under the rubbish deski, like in our ofice. It's paper, it goes in the printer, it gets printed on. I am waiting for soemone to coplement me on my choice of paper,,, but nothing, nada... they will notice superlaitve choice one day. I think my wife is staling this paper from the offcie to take home..... i am totally convinced, but we work from our home office,,,is she secretly sending it back to Amazon to recycle paper???

None of the bulk reams of paper got consistent glowing reviews and were either 5 star or 1 star. I took a punt and this paper works well for me.Print quality and weight are fine for my home use. You can lightly see the print through the back side, so it is not perfect for double sided printing nor any printing that needs to be professional. Many gripes I read in the reviews were receiving damaged paper. The reams of paper I received were in the flimsiest box ever, but Amazon packaged it inside another box (not great for the environment, but better than throwing out 5 reams of damaged paper) and they arrived in tact and useable.Whether your paper arrives damaged will likely be dependent on how it has been handled in the delivery system.

Despite the 'basics' branding, this paper seems to be quite nicely finished and a lot smoother than some other budget papers I've bought. It holds the ink well and colours seem to be generally good.80gsm is at the bottom end of what I'd want to use for general printing (90gsm is a bit more of an all-round paper) but I can't complain at this price. My printer very occasionally pulls two sheets through at once but this is only ever a problem when printing double-sided and probably has more to do with the humidity of my office and how I store the paper than anything else. It's worth noting that I haven't yet had a paper jam using this paper, which is something that happens frequently with some other budget paper.

Amazon Basics goods are consistently of a higher quality than you'd expect from a 'basic' item, and this paper is no different. Great value for a box of five reams, all separately packaged, which arrive in a sturdy box. The paper prints very well, and feels a decent weight and quality. I use it for printing scripts and it has worked fantastically so far, giving good quality prints every time. Another surprising bonus is Amazon's promise that this is sustainably sourced paper, so you don't need to feel guilty about saving a fortune by buying a basics range. Great quality, great price - I think this will be my paper of choice from now on.
