I am not a big fan of small DSLR bags. I prefer to get more gear with me. I have Amazon back bag camera bag which contains my Nikon D3100, 18-55mm kit, 35mm f1.8, 50mm f1.8, Jessops flashgun, Panasonic camcorder V700 and cables,..etc. It has decent build guilty and price. On the other hand, one of my friends have a big Nikon camera bag (for me it is quit small!). She asked me to order a camera bag from Amazon. It should be as compact as possible. I searched online till I find this one. At the befogging, I thought it is very small with decent built guilty. When I received week ago, I shocked. It has very very excellent built quilt. Actually it is much better than amazon back bag. However we had a big challenge for this small bag (I believe it is a case or cover than a bag). It Should fit Nikon D5100 + 18-55mm kit + 55-300mm kit at least.Actually we managed that. I cannot say it fits the gear easily. It is quit tight but works. Also be aware that the side pockets almost useless. They are suitable for papers or cards not more. The front one is better but do not have big volume either.So.. Who should buy this cover (or bag)?(Do not get me wrong when I said cover. It will protect your gear very will. It has very good protective sides)Sure it is not for me. I like to take almost all my lenses with me (it is not a big collection anyway) even sometimes I take my flash light stand for a walk in the park.It is for someone who is looking to take his camera only with one travel lens (18-200 or 270mm kit) with extra memory card and battery. or Someone who has the camera with standard kit lens and prefers to has his camera most of the time with him as the compact cameras specially if he is new to DSLR world. If you have fast zoom lenses, the I think nothing bigger than 17-50 or 55mm f2.8 will fit in this bag. Maybe only fast prime lens but not bigger than 85mm. The bottom of this bag is quiet narrow due to its conical shape. Anyway I don't think you will need such bag if you have such big lenses. If you are looking for a bag more compact than this one you should get mirror-less or compact camera or just use your mobile phone camera. Always the best camera is the one you have. Keep Shooting, use your gear, push your gear to its limits and Shoot RAW!

Update: I noticed the stitching at the bottom had come undone so returned the case for a replacement. The replacement is fine, however. To give my review context, I have a Sony A7RIII (usually fitted with a pretty chunky Sony Zeiss 50mm f1.4 lens) which I use mostly for indoor shooting, with very occasional landscape, architectural and street shooting.I never do any hiking/outdoor pursuits with my camera so I don't need a super tough, weather resistant case, just something decent quality to protect the camera and lens when not in use.Size-wise, my camera with lens measures approx 14 x 18 x 10 cm (without lens cover). The case is the perfect depth for my camera with lens but, as it's designed for a DSLR,it's a little too big for mirrorless bodies. I put an additional microfiber cloth or piece of sponge in the case to prevent the camera from sliding around. Easy fix. There's plenty of room in the front and side pockets for SD cards, lens filters and a short cable. So to cut a long story short... For a budget price, this case is very well made and punches above its weight. The outer materials seem rugged, sturdy and nicely finished and the inner microfiber lining does its job.Overall I'd certainly put it on a par with my previous Lowepro cases.Unless you constantly go trekking in unpredictable weather conditions, are a professional constantly throwing your camera in and out of a case all day... Or you're just a brand/label snob!... I just don't see any reason to spend more on a case. This ticks all the boxes for me and, for less than £18, I have no reservations whatsoever about putting nearly £5K of camera gear in it.I believe reviews should always be measured against price, not more expensive items, so even though I can't comment on the weather resistance, it's 5 stars across the board. Excellent product! Thanks for reading.

This is a very nicely made case for your DSLR. I'm completely happy with the quality of construction and padded protection this provides my Nikon D300. It's the perfect size when I want to grab my DSLR and not be burdened with extra lenses and all the other stuff that I normally would have with me using a larger camera bag.The depth of the case is 7.5" enabling me to fit my D300, and attached battery pack with my 17-55 f2.8 lens. It's a tad tight closing the top zippered lid, but it does fit and that's very nice. If I were to remove the battery pack, it would fit very comfortably with a little wiggle room. The case has an extremely durable bottom piece that is about 1 inch tall and is a solid plastic base. This cushions and protects the DSLR case from water infiltration if you were to set your case on the ground. There are 3 outside pockets. The left and right zippered pockets are marginally useful. They do not expand at all and have little volume but are suitable for lens cleaning cloths, lens filters or something thin. The front pocket is way more useful and has enough room to put in several smaller items. It has a elasticized back nylon mesh panel that you could throw a couple memory cards into as well as two dedicated memory card (SD) pockets with velcro closure on the front inside panel.A comfortably padded and suitably wide shoulder strap is included. What a great case this is. Very functional, comfortable to carry and just the right amount of space to easily carry a DSLR, decent sized lens plus a few odds and ends. It's a great price and seems to be of the highest quality. I expect this will provide years of good service. If you're looking for something that will hold more gear but is still very easy to carry check out the

It's exactly what I wanted, a case that I can put my camera into with the lens and lens hood on. It's fully padded on the inside with 2 padded velcro straps to hold my camera body in place. Underneath on the outside there is a hard outer shell, on the reverse of that on the inside there is padding, probably foam covered by the same soft fabric as the rest of the case. It's removable and is about 1 and a half centimetres thick. There are 3 pockets, the front pocket is large enough to store my compact camera. Inside the pocket on the back, there is a stretchy mesh flap and on the front on the inside there are two small pockets which seem to be designed just large enough to store your memory cards, you could possibly store up to 5 memory cards in each or a spare battery for you compact. These pockets are not large enough to store my DSLR battery. There are also 2 additional side pockets, in one I keep my lens cover and body cover and in the other I keep a couple of microfibre lens cloths. The shoulder strap feels strong and is long enough to wear across my body.

I wanted a no hassle, holster style, camera bag to take my Nikon d3200 camera, spare batteries and edutige etm-0o1 mic and that's it. I bought this amazon basics one because of the high number of reviews and favourable star rating..and its really good. For the price the zips are decent, straps decent, materials decent but more importantly, it has a hard plastic cover on the bottom to protect your lens, because the camera goes in lens first. For those of you asking the 'will it fit my...? Question, it takes my Nikon d3200 camera WITH BATTERY GRIP ATTACHED and 18-55mm lens WITH LENS HOOD ATTACHED (not the petal hood the small conical one) as snug as you like. The body and battery grip fills the space neatly at the lid end,and the combined lens-body-hood length fills the bag neatly bottom to top, all snug with no realistic room to go bigger..just right. The front and side pockets are shallow in depth and good for thin stuff like sd cards, batteries and small lens cloths. Hope this helps.

I bought this for my samsung nx1000 camera. The materials are very good, the plastic bottom is excellent at stabilizing the bag, and the sholder strap is pretty comfy. It has 3 pockets (2 on the sides and one in the front), and I use them to store my battery charger and cord, an extra battery and a memory card. The space inside is plentiful for a large dslr and lens. What I think can be improved is how the inside space is separated. It comes with two dividers (with velcro at each of their ends), and you are supposed to put them however you like. Unfortunately, I could not find a solution that keeps a relatively small camera like mine secured.I ended up removing them altogether and placing the camera directly in the bag.It is marketed as a dslr camera bag (not as a compact system camera like mine), so I guess this makes sense.Excellent customer service and delivery from Amazon, as usual. Best e-tailer there is.

I have been looking for a cheap but rugged case to put my Olympus OMD EM5 MK2 into and then put them both into a pannier on my road bike, most cases are either too big and take up shed loads of room in the pannier or too small and only really any good for "snap shot cameras" this takes the camera with the 7-14 mm wide angle len (not small) and also my mobile phone in the side pocket I can then put it into the pannier and fill that with food drink waterproof top etc without fear of damage to the camera .I also have an Oly Penn camera which fits this case a treat which I can use when out and about and when I don't want to carry all of my kit in my camera back pack it's win win at this priceThequality is excellent the base is solid for protection and there is sufficient padding all round you cannot go wrong at this price !

As a DSLR camera bag, for the money, it's great. It's a good size and happily holds the camera and lens securely in place using adjustable, padded inserts. There is plenty of space for holding extra items (small items - i.e. cleaning cloths, lens caps, filters etc) and the hardened plastic base is ideal when putting the bag down, thus protecting your camera. The shape of it makes carrying it by hand or over the sholder, very comfortable and without the camera, the bag is lightweight but has a robust quality about it (though I wouldn't recommend dropping it for a large height or throwing it with your camera inside!). It came with a shoulder strap which is straightforward but I replaced it with a different one, purely because I wanted to. I bought this for my daughter and she likes it a lot. I might order one too.

I was specifically after a bag that was smaller than my shoulder bag yet large enough for my Canon DSLR and rather bulky UWA 11-16mm Tokina lens. Not only does it carry it with ease, it even does so with the lens hood attached and with enough room to carry a filter or two. The outside pockets will store some oddments as well, such as a battery or two.I used to use a Lowepro for a bridge camera, but it was too small for my current camera so I had to get rid of it. A new Lowepro would have been four or five times the cost of this bag, and it's easily as sturdy as the Lowepro I owned previously. The hard base section also makes it feel safer, essential for taking the camera into the wilds. At this price,it's an absolute steal and a welcome respite from the astronomical cost of quality photography kit.

Seriously good, I took it with me on a holiday to the grand canyon and whilst it is compact and comfortable to carry (thanks in part to the extra padding and carry strap) it is still able to fit a full sized SLR, battery attachment and large lens. The materials used are high quality and the design smart - the two adjustable straps inside act to suspend the lens from the bottom of the case, and along with the firm outer shell I felt very confident that the camera would remain safe even when exposed to a drop or moderate impact. All in all, extremely pleased with the product which was essentially perfect for my needs, factoring in that it cost me under £15 I can't recommend enough.Note: my camera was a Sony a350 with 28-300m lens and portrait/battery extension unit.

I've learned over the years that a camera holster needs to be rugged enough to take the pace, roomy enough to hold the kit (including spare memory and battery packs, and cheap enough that you don't fret about giving it grief (the holster is the only part of your outfit where the whole point is absorbing punishment). This is probably the cheapest holster I've ever owned, but you wouldn't guess that from its design or functionality. It comfortably holds my Sony with a general purpose zoom, and has sensibly configured space for memory, power, and even a few filters and hoods.I'll be looking more closely at Amazon Basics in future - particularly for camera accessories: this is a decent piece of kit by any standards, and outstanding value for money.

So useful! What a great find! It protects my camera really well! Even better than the camera case that came with my camera (the velcro didn't work well and I ended up with my camera on the floor many times! and the plastic buckle broke). The zips work really well, no chance of the whole thing coming undone, inside there is plenty of protection and there is even a bit that goes around the lense which you are able to adjust. The little zipped compartments at the sides and at the front are great to keep the battery and the memory cards in. There is a video review of this camera case which I watched before buying it. Great video! Says it all, if you haven't watched it yet, do it!It tells you all you there is to know.

I was very pleasantly surprised when I purchased this product.I won’t lie, my camera bag gets some serious abuse, it gets dropped, chucked and crushed in a bag sometimes, and this bag still looks practically brand new.I love the hard bottom on this, not only does it provide safety and protection for your camera, but it allows you to just stand it up.The material is water resistant from my experiences, I’ve had it on my shoulder in the rain and nothing got in.The inside of it is a lovely soft material, it’s. I’ve when removing the camera from it, and also does jo damage. For the price, this case is far superior to many expensive alternatives I have tried. A fantastic product.

This bag was much better than expected. Just wanted a budget bag for storing my new DSLR and this fits the bill perfectly. It was larger than I was expecting but it is very well padded and the solid base is a great feature.the stitching is good, zips good and it has a padded back to it for your comfort when carrying.the pocket on the front has room for a couple of memory cards and bits.side pockets won't fit much in.adjustable Velcro holders inside are a good feature to fit it to your individual camera. The outer is made of a rip-stop material and would survive a day out in the rain!Perfect bag for outings and I'm already eyeing up the backpack version!

I have no idea why this carries the "Amazon Basics" branding as the quality of the product is far from basic, it rivals other camera bags that I own which cost between 2 to 3 times the cost of this. The bag is of a good size and comfortably accommodates a small/medium camera body with battery grip and lens (I'm able to find a D90 with grip and 24-70mm lens). There are a few additional pockets and places to store memory cards and possibly a few other small accessories. Perfect for when you don't want to be weighed down with a huge amount of kit and just want to take out the camera for a bit point-and-shoot.Great little bag, would definitely buy again!
