Wanted to mirror streaming from internet to MacBook on to a large screen TV without AirPlay capability or 3rd party application. A simple solution was required to enable me to instruct a non-technical person to easily achieve this and a cable between the two devices, just requiring plugging in at each end was an easy and inexpensive option. The video was mirrored as soon as the lead was connected at both ends, although if audio is required through the TV as well then this has to be redirected in the MacBook system preferences.One advantage of using a cable such as this is that there is no time lag between MacBook and TV or loss of synchronisation between video and audio which can be experienced

Wish I had known about this type of cable earlier. Takes the output from my laptop and gives me an HDMI hookup to my TV that is perfect and easy. Now with the long cable I can leave it connected, and by using a 2 input to 1 output box I can switch between my laptop and my DVD player. Great if you have limited HDMI inputs on the TV.

There are oodles of expensive cables on the market, but i opted for this Amazon version as it’d be a stress free return if it was rubbish. Fortunately that’s not been the case and it’s worked well straight out of the box. I’ve not used it too heavily so far, but the picture quality has been good and I’ve not had any issues.

Bought to connect work laptop to parents-in-law's flat screen TV to double-desktop and give me some more screen working room for 7 days. Bargain cable, next day delivery meant I ordered at 7pm and have a much better workstation the next day at 10am. Thanks, Amazon

Works well, does the job, but amazon have only been stocking excessively long cables for a while - probably due to current circumstances but these remained in stock so I had to purchase 3m length when I need 0.9m.Other wise great item, does the job!

Cable connecting between Macbook Air and Samsung TV. Connectivity was simple plug and play and the TV works as a mirror or extended display to the Mac. Very happy with display image and quality for the price.

I wanted a cable to allow me to connect my MacBook Air to TVs to stream films and Pay tv channels. Up and working within 2 minutes! Great length suitable for most situations and rooms. Good quality.

Appropriate length, does the job perfectly.I've had one of these for more than a year now. Needed another and went back to ordering from AmazonBasics again without hesitation.

Works well so far. I use this to view Amazon Prime on my TV. It's a great way to watch anything from my 10 year old Macbook Pro on the bigger screen. Absolutely no complaints.

Works absolutely perfectly.I use it to mirror my laptop screen on a bigger TV when watching TV episodes or movies I can only access via my computer.
