I first reviewed this bag saying how good it was. And it is. However, since then I have found a much better bag for around the same price, which is the Lowepro Flipside 400.My reasons for why:1. The Lowepro is waterproof2. The velcro compartments on the Mantona undo really easily, allowing small lenses to hop over the dividers into different sections, and large/heavy lenses just pull velcro off.3. The Lowepro opens from the back. With the waist straps, this means you can keep the bag on you, swivel it around and get your camera out without taking the bag off your back. The Mantona is good as you can remove the camera from the side, but it's not the same.3. The tripod holder part is good but if you're using a heavy, sturdy tripod like one of the Manfrotto ones, it cant hold it. The horizontal strap at the top will loosen and the tripod will just leap off the back of the bag.4. I often sling my bag around one shoulder before putting the other shoulder through. On that side of the strap, its showing some wear and tear. This is also because my kit is really heavy.5. The Lowepro has big waist straps which distribute weight really well. The Mantona has narrow ones which just can't compare. It's a good bag, but I really would go for the Lowepro instead, with hindsight. I can't think of any pros of the Mantona over the Lowepro. My original review was:'I can't stress how good this bag is. It holds my Nikon D3 (large body DSLR) with one lens attached as well as 4 other lenses, a flashgun and accessories. The bag opens up from the sides and front which allows you to take out your camera (or lenses) easily, without needing to unpack and repack. It's massively spacious and completely invaluable.'

This bag has so many good features, the big handle on the top is so much better than most handles on bags, and is a good addition, as are the 3 access points. The straps and clips and little bits all over it give you so many options for adding things to it for ease of use. It's a compact feeling backpack but with so much more room in than I had in my Slingshot. The only reason I have given it a 4 star rating and not a 5 is that the tripod holder isn't a strong as I hoped, I have quite a heavy tripod which just made the bag too heavy and the adjustable strap for it kept sliding out so I didn't trust it to keep my tripod on the bag. Also although you can make the bag a sling type bag as well with it's adjustable straps I wouldn't use them constantly as the connections appear small for the weight - although they've stood up to the task so far, so I can't actually fault them....Finally the whole concept of the bag is awesome, someone has really thought about what photographers want in a bag as far as im concerned.

A good product. My husband wanted a compact bag that didn't look overtly like it held expensive camera equipment for a recent trip to Zambia. He fitted a Nikon D810 with 80-400 permanently attached and added a shorter range zoom, flash, Samsung tablet (small), mobile phone, Drift Ghost HD POV camera, all necessary chargers/cables, spare memory cards, passport/paperwork and anti-malarial tablets. Why 4 stars not 5? 1) The hidden bag for the tripod hangs too low - it should end level with the base of the bag (tripod would then sit higher) as this upsets the balance of the bag and moves about when you put the bag down 2) Ideally (for him) the bag would be 10% bigger so another camera body could be included and 3)have an external zipped pocket - perhaps on the main lower flap) to avoid having to open the top compartment (or access the pocket inside the main compartment) which has the potential for smaller items to fall out. I would recommend this bag but even more with the 'minor' changes.

I have been looking at a number of camera backpacks and looking at what they can hold and if they have a sideway enterance and cost as some of them are silly money. I looked at the reviews with this bag and seen that some people had said about the zips and one persons the zip broke, so i looked on the internet and at camera mags to see if there was any info out there but there was not. Then i found a review on youtube about the bag ( and its in German) but you see the item and the zips after seeing this i went ahead and ordered it. The service was first class (should be here monday it came the friday before). the b/pack looks and feels very good and i was able to fit my camera with battery grip and small lens,2 other lens, flash gun plus lots of accessories (fisheye, macro lens, filters, batteries, cleaning stuff. and the rain cover. All this and still room for a drink. At this price well worth IT!!!

When it was delivered it was packed in a good( typical of Amazon) neat sized package no damage. Item was just in a plastic bag (perhaps the supplier was just showing they were saving on cardboard). The backpack was as described with plenty of pockets and space for a D2x dslr with a 70/300 mm lens attached and room for 4-5 lenses but not my Nikon SB910 flash gun in any compartments other than the top one used for accessories.I would have liked to see included( an illustrated guide as another well known mfr I have used for over 35 years does even for their budget models). This lost it a star as it really is a cracking piece of merchandise.pity it had to be made in China like everything else thesedays(if I knew it was German Made I would gladly have paid another 10 % for it).But well done and this company will give those other well known manufactures a run for their money .

Excellent product. The package arrived three days early. The DHL tracking provided was way off tho'. I received it in Ireland when DHL was telling me the bag was still in Germany! Fitted one camera, an 18/55mm lense, a zoom lense 70/300 and a 50mm prime lense. I also put 5 filters inside and there is more room left. Definitely enough for at least one more lense and an external flash maybe. The tripod holder is very secure also. All black, very good looking design and feels light on the shoulders. Extremely happy with the purchase. Highly recommend it. Update in March 2013, I know have a 70/200mm L len with it and a speedlite flash, There's room for one more lens(ACtually two cause my spare telezoom will go soon),and plenty of space in the top pocket, just a great bag and comfortable to walk around, trekking is not a problem, I did a 5h walk and couldn't really feel it.

Chose this pack because of price, design, size and flexibility. I wanted a bag that would be ok for on-board flights. This bag will go in the overhead lockers easily or even underneath the seat in front (which some airlines now request as so many other passengers bring their larger carry on bags that need to go in the lockers). Very well made with adequate padding for camera equipment and access flaps are spot on. I carry large Nikon DSLR with battery grip attached and this fits in neatly without need to remove anything. Usually I have 24-85mm lens on camera but take lens hood off. Also carry 105mm macro and 70-300mm plus release, charges etc etc. I leave the top compartment for lunch, glasses and other small bits and pieces.Well suited to my needs and recommend it for similar volume of equipment. Not sure I would attach my tripod to it though as only one strap.John

Really comfortable backpack.Though the construction of inside is pretty confusing and it's hard to put all together as it is shown in the photo. It shows grey color of the backpack in the photo, though I've got a black one - which is better than grey one, but it wasn't stated about the color. And the delivery courrier is a bad choice - it delivers only once to the door, if you're not home, you need to get to their office which is in the middle of nowehreOverall, the backpack is comfy and usefull, though the management of selling it is a bit lost.

good build quality, the bag feels solid as foam goes. plenty of space inside. the straps can be customised to either single should sling, or as regular backpack, or cross the straps in front for an unusual but very comfortable way to carry your gear. one thing to note about this bag though, they advertised the internal dividers as completely customisable, however it is kind of limited to having the camera and body on one side only, its bearable and i will live with it because the rest of the the bag is quality

This bag is fantastic - being new to slr photography I first brought a smaller bag. But soon I had brought too many lens to fit into it. I have a nikon d3200 plus 4 lenses and there is still plenty of room for more lenses. It has a waterproof cover which I have not used yet so I cant really comment on that. But the bag, including the straps are well padded and it has numerous openings which is very handy, and its very well made, so for fifty quid is a steel!

I managed to fit Canon 5d, Zoom 28-200 and Wide-angle (16-30). Also flash, lense collars. All in all fits OK. I think sticking small laptop might be a challenge. But as a day pack it is not bad at all for the price. I was looking for a very compact day pack to fit my kit.My current concern is around zippers. these look not strong enough. Would prefer something more solidly made, heavier gauge. Lets see how it works over time.

I got this for a hiking/ shoot bag, and it is everything that i could ask for. The price is fantastic, it's extremely sturdy and has a large amount of space to hold everything that I need. The rain cover tucks away nicely, and the Tripod strap and foot holder is an extra bonus. Would definitely recommend it to anyone! Looks great also.

I'm a professional and I've had this bag for a couple of years now and its still going strong! Excellent product and no need to spend twice as much for a "brand" that does exactly the same! Just ordered a smaller bag from the same company and expecting to be just as happy!

Excellent quality backpack with loads of room for kit and extra's, rubber tips on the zipper could be a down side as they could come off in time, but i knew of that before i purchased it and i would recommend it to friends, came well packaged and on schedule.

I have a Panasonic Lumix G series kit and find that this bag is perfect for fitting everything in, plus for me the main feature is that it mimics the Lowpro sling bag enablin the user to access the camera without taking the bag completely off of the back.
