After emptying my bank account on purchasing the D7000, I was looking for ways to protect it and keep it as pristine as possible, then I came across this.I've always been dubious about covers for cameras, as for me one of the selling points of a camera is how it feels and functions in your hands.I have used unofficial covers for previous DSLRs, such as the D40 and D60, and I found them to fit incorrectly and reduce the efficiency of using the manual controls. However, I am pleased to report that in this instance that is not the case. This fits snugly over the D7000 body (Just remember to take the carrying strap off first). It wasn't a task to get on, and it doesn't move about once it is on.All controls and ports are easily accessible, and I'm glad to say I'm happy with the purchase. The only thing I've had slight trouble with is pressing the left arrow menu button - But it's not really an issue and it just involves slightly changing the angle of your thumb press.Overall, this is a great little add-on for your D7000 - It will protect against scratches and dirt without it being a fiddly extra. Put it on, then forget about it.The best experience I've had with a camera cover to date. All I will end with is that in my opinion these kind of products are always overpriced, £26 is a lot of money for such an inanimate thing. The only reason I bought this is because I know I'll be carrying my camera around a lot, sticking it in grass for macro shots and resting it on walls and the like - Basically it's worth saving yourself the money if you know you wont be abusing your camera too much (For example, if you are a studio photographer) or even if you just don't mind getting the odd scratch on the body every now and then. So, not an essential piece of kit but if you do choose to buy it does the job well.

This is the 2nd one of these I've had. The 1st one went onto a Nikon D60. When I sold the D60, the body was unmarked. As I don't use a camera case with padded compartments but an ordinary shoulder bag with the camera and a 2nd lens plus a few other bits all living hugger-mugger side by side, I reckon the skin did a job.The reason I'm not more enthusiastic than 4 stars is that the material does make it more difficult to activate the controls. This is paticularly the case with the 4-way & OK dial. I find I have to give the rubber a real dig with a finger-end to get the left/right/up/down to function. For some reason, the left arrow needs a much heavier prod than the others, probably because it's next to the rib around the screen. It is also in the nature of this silicone material that it is very slightly tacky. Not so tacky that your fingers stick but dust does and is not at all easy to wipe off.Clearly, the fact that the icons IDing the rubber buttons are very difficult to read in anything other than ideal light will become less of an issue as one becomes more familiar with the controls. The one I got for the D60, of 'Camera Armor' brand, had a rebate around the screen aperture for a screen protector to be fitted but no screen protector was supplied. When I asked about this, I was told that the screen was 'an extra'. This one is supplied with a plastic screen protector AND a film screen protector. So my screen now has 2 layers of defence. The plastic one will take scratches and buffing marks like crazy, I expect. They're cheap enough to replace. This armour cuts down on the convenience of operating the camera but will offer just enough protection to save the body getting scuffed and scratched when bumping around in the real world.

After over 30,000 shots some of my D7000 preview buttons paintwork, notably the viewer and magnification, has started to come off so I thought I would try this product to prevent further wear.Overall a good item, very easy to fit, didn't even have to take the zoom lens off! Remember to take the strap off if you have one attached to the body.A few niggles, the covered buttons are a bit stiff and the now recessed thumb dial under the shutter release is a little difficult to access, although for me this a bonus as I have it set for F-stop and speed settings which I occasionally move unintentionally.Fits well apart from a few misalignments which can be rectified with careful use of a scalpel.Whilst all the dials and buttons line up,the SD card door needed about 2mm trimming off the bottom hinge/flap area as this would not open properly. A one door flap arrangement similar to the two door version the other side would have been better, giving protection as well as this side is exposed (this is my reason for taking one star off the rating). With the MB-D11 Battery pack fitted, around 3-5mm needs to be removed from the rear underside edges as the material, due to its thickness, prevents a tight fit to the electrical contacts disabling the camera from 'seeing' the pack.Hope this helps.

Ok, so for what the cover is, it's pretty good.Fits perfectly, but as other's have said to start it's a bit slippery - I'm sure this will wear off. However, as per the title, unfortunately this item isn't 100% fit for my purpose and that's probably down to my expectations rather than a design fault.... What I'm referring to is the fact this isn't compatible if you have the battery grip accessory - the silicone is too thick on the underneath for the battery grip to secure in properly. I tried to rectify this by "modifying" the cover but then it set the button's out of line and the fit was to lose in some area's - but just because I couldn't do it doesn't mean it can't be done.I'll still use the case (it's a fair price to just throw it away)and it will have its uses,It's just a word of warning for anyone who may consider it as a direct fit if you also have the battery grip.Update: a few months on and the cover is now sat collecting dust, i would seriously think about why you want this cover before you go ahead and buy it.Honestly, buying it to save on a few scratch marks probably isn't worth it... but thats my opinion.

Bought this to protect my nikon whilst out and about, and it has definitely saved my camera on more than one occasion. This is made of a quite thick silicon type material and can be a bit fiddly to stretch over the camera and into position, but once fitted has a very nice feel to it and inspires confidence when shooting photos in almost any situation. The case covers several buttons on the camera but these are all clearly marked with icons and maintains the ease of use that I love the Nikon for.I haven't dropped the camera with it on, and it doesn't make any claim that it would save the camera in this situation but I can tell you that it has saved mine from some heavy knocks against walls and rocks when it's been dangling round my neck. When I took it off the camera to clean it the other day the camera still looked like new which inspired me to write this review. This review is my honest unbiased opinion, I was not provided this item at a discount for a review, I paid full price.

I use my camera outdoors when skiing and mountaineering, It gets knocked around and abused generally and I wanted a little extra protection for when its out of the case. A good friend who is into wild life photography in a big way at the camera club I used to attend recommended this cover to me. It is not full protection but it is a big improvement on nothing. I use a shoulder sling and the cover has been a life saver more than once. It is not waterproof but it helps protect the camera when its raining and or snowing conditions I am out in frequently. It has a tactile feel and all controls are very easily accessible.unlike some covers I read reviews for the lens port is accessible as is the base of the camera for mounting additional battery housing or the sling mount I use. I would recommend this to anyone who has a good camera that is subject to abuse through use.

When I first ordered this cover I was a little apprehensive about being able to access the buttons. No problem, it is a great cover and protects my precious camera from knocks and bangs as I use a strap that attaches at the bottom and sometimes it can swing round and hit something if I am not careful. I am really pleased with this, the only thing I would suggest to Walimex is that they produce this wonderful cover in different colours for all the makes of cameras. I wouldn't mind having more than one and choosing a different colour to match my mood. Not perhaps every day but occasionally it would be great. The camouflage would do for my bird watching expeditions and what could be nicer than red for the day at a wedding or party.I can wholeheartedly recommend the Walimex pro easyCover, it is great.

I ordered this for my Nikon D3100 and boy im glad I did.. It went over the camera very quickly with a little stretching and Fitted like a glove. It gives you that extra bit of confidence when you get a new camera and have to treat it like kid gloves, All the rubber mount buttons on the Sillicone are in the exact same place as the camera buttons are when the Sillicone is mounted. The only small downside and a Mean SMALL, is the sillicone mount buttons arent clearly marked.. If they were marked in white as the camera buttons, it would have been easier to see them but after time you know were all the buttons on the camera are anyway.. All in all, TOP NOTCH PRODUCT 10/10..

Good product, as described fits very snugly and will protect the camera from knocks, bumps, and rain better than not having it. My personal issue was that it made the camera feel bulkier, not much, just enough to put me off, I really recommend trying it for yourself as it is a good product, but I've been using the D40 and now D5200 for years and the difference the skin adds in bulkiness and texture just felt wrong in my hands. All in all it is exactly as described, and works as intended and advertised and I can't in good faith give it a poor rating just because it felt slightly wrong to me.

I havent yet tested this product out in the rain, however I keep it fitted to my camera body all of the time and it doesnt impede the working at all. Overall it seems very good, particularly the rubber case which is the main component I wanted. The screen protector is a little fiddly which lets it down a little, but that really doesnt bother me too much particularly as I do not take the cover on and off.It seems quite expensive for what you get, however for me, the peace of mind in giving your expensive DSLR that extra bit of protection is worth the price tag.

I've owned my d3200 for a few months now, and wanted to keep it unmarked. This item is a great fit, and I like that it makes the camera slightly bigger, and the feel is great. I had to trim the bottom as I have a battery pack fitted, but this was easy to do.Pro's;Good impact protectionShields the hot shoeAdds some water resistanceSlots all still accessibleEasy to customiseCons;Doesn't improve one handed gripButton markings are hard to seeOverall, good value protection for your camera body, and looks great too.

I got this for a Nikon D3300. It's a very good 7/10. Pity the top is so open and exposing the camera right across the top surface. No good in terms of protecting the top from dust, knocks, sand or dirt. the slide-in flash seat protecting tab is very poorly designed. However, superb design quality everywhere else. The screen protector is just a thin flexi stick on job, so nothing special. I'm glad I got it for £26.00 as it's not worth much more than that.

Delivery was very prompt - even all the way to South Africa. This cover is great for everyday use as it protects the body from minor scratches and dings. It also includes a screen protector which is great as I wasn't expecting it to be included and almost ordered one separately. There are extra grippy points in sections where your fingers hold the camera, which is also great when working with cold or wet hands. This product is a must if you own a D5100

29.8.2012

I'm new to the whole DSLR world and was looking for something to give my camera some protection from knocks etc. To be fair I dont normally write reviews on things Iv bought however I am so pleased with this product I want everyone else who has a Nikon d3100 to buy one.The easycover fits to the camera extremely well and feels and looks well protected. This is a must buy (especially if you have a 3 year old who also likes to use the camera)!

14.8.2019

Easycover is the best make for these cases, in my experience. Apart from scratch and wear protection, it gives the camera a firmer hold in hand and better grip on any shiny surface. Being a Nikon user, I always cut away a slim piece under the front wheel to show the red stripe; this also makes that wheel slightly easier to rotate. Of course, though a minor inconvenience, D850 users loose the back-lighting for some buttons.
