For a very old kit (early 60s) this builds up into a nice model. Fit of parts is very good and the detail is fine apart from some clunky elements on the trackguards. The tracks are too thick and not well detailed (par for the age) The gun is a bit too thin. Crew hatches can be posed open but are plain on the inside. It's not difficult to add locking bars and handles.The Saukopfblende mantlet means it should have Schürzen side skirts and Zimmerit but you can add this if you want. The box art is the original highly dramatic picture of a counter attack against a beach assault.Good value for money and easy to build.

A fun model to build, but showing its age. The Revell Stug, for example, is both better detailed, and easier and better to put together. With plenty of cleaning up required, and not the best fitting parts, nevertheless my dad and I had fun building one each of this now quite old Airfix model, and comparing the results! Making better and thinner aerials (the ones supplied are way too thick!) by heating and stretching some spare sprue was fun!

A useful model for the wartime modeller. Additions can be attached to upgrade the basic model with ease to reflect the latter marks of the assault gun.
