This kit must be 50 years old but it still fits together well and builds into an impressively accurate replica. The gun can be modelled either deployed for action - in anti-tank and anti-aircraft mode - or limbered up and moving.Faults: well, the detail could be a bit sharper; the winches are missing from the gun trailer mudguards; the crew are all seated and are wearing early war German uniform, so not really suited to the desert box art. These are small niggles though. IF you want a mobile 88mm in this scale your options are this or the Revell (ex-Matchbox) Nashorn, and for the money, I reckon this one wins out.

This kit was first produced in 1967 and it shows. Plenty of flash, mould seams on the tyres, raised panel lines, poor fitting of the parts and a level of detail that doesn't really compare with a modern kit. I built this when it was still relatively new and thought at the time that it was a one of my better builds and one of Airfix's better kits.In this day and age it still offers a good deal for the money. You get the famous 88 mm flak gun, the half-track and four figures for under a tenner. It'll look good so long as you don't look too close. Put it in a simple desert diorama and you'll love it.

I was a little disappointed with this model, I found the kit to be poorly made and I had spend a fair amount of time getting the parts to fit together, this is a problem I have encountered with a number of Airfix kits, along with them being a bit more brittle than kits made by other manufacturers, that aside the detail is reasonable and once painted looks quite good.

again five gold helmets like a couple of other companies which i will not mention they have not lost their touch i recommend this kit to any one who is interested in building any thing military it is a break you in kit of a high standard from a company with a very long and high standard you cannot go wrong with this or any of their products many thanks

Airfix are ok as models go (most people know the name) there detail on the models are getting better with new mouldings coming out all the time. This one with this picture on the I understand is the old moulding. The detail on this was better than i thought it would be. as sometimes the older moulding can buckle making it very hard to fit together.

Brought as a present for husband last year, forgot to write a review. He loved it, it was difficult to find as a reasonable price so was very happy with this purchase and my husband loved making it.

I made this model many years ago making so in many ways l was remembering my youth. It passes away the time making it , it also lets you see military vehicles up close
