As I have an indoor cat I'm always a bit nervous about catty smells coming from his tray. So I do tend to look for "odour neutralising" claims on the packs, and have been using Catsan Hygiene Plus (or something) for months, which I'm happy with in terms of smells, but as a litter (absorbing pee, ease of removing poo) is not perfect. Also being litter, I had to remove poos with a little bag; my cat doesn't usually go much more frequently than once a day, but it did play on my mind that 2 weeks worth of cat poo in the black bin probably wasn't great. So on spotting this, I was interested in the various odour-free life claims, but I tried this one mostly because I was intrigued by the flush-able material; Which turns out to be derived from corn!I wasn't really sure if he would take to it, it being SO different to Catsan; its a corn-yellow colour for one thing, has a prominent (but not unpleasant) mealy scent rather than no smell to it, and its very fine - not as fine as sugar, more like coarse sand.Once it was in the tray, my cat was straight in there digging, pushing and sniffing it - and I was mortified when he STARTED EATING IT! I quickly scooped him out (he fought to get back in) and checked the pack; apparently, your cat eating it on first inspection is both completely safe and common, so apprehensively I let him at it. He had a couple more nibbles, spent about 5 minutes happily pawing at and digging around in it, then tottered off for a nap. First test passed. His first use of it was weirdly quite sweet - this litter is a lot more "mobile" than Catsan, and he seemed a little disconcerted as he sat to pee - I assume it moves around like sand does when pressed on - but once he got his stance sorted he had his pee, buried it, and cantered off. I waited an hour or so to allow it to clump (which it turns out is a lot longer than you need to), then took the tray and a scoop to the loo - Now this litter CLUMPS - like a solid ball, which scoops out no mess - straight in the loo - gone.Once the tray was back, there wasnt a trace of odour AT ALL.I didnt think it could get better, then he went for a number 2: Again, just a matter of taking the tray to the loo, scooping out the poop, flush - done. Now this is gross, so apologies, but what this stuff seems to do is almost... "sugar coat the turd" - so as they technically have a thin coating, poos arent *completely* odour free, but the smell is massively reduced - and with normal poos, mess is negligible.Additionally I was concerned this would work out expensive, but actually the clumping is so effective that the bulk of the litter stays clean and completely odour free - and by scooping out the clumps, all you need to do is top up the litter when it gets a bit low - rather than needing to replace the full litter every 2-3 days as I did with Catsan.I got the 6.35kg bag to try first - and I think, as an estimate, I'll probably get at least 6 weeks use from the one bag. Compare this to how much Catsan I get through in the same space of time, and actually the price is pretty much the same - if not a *little* bit cheaper than CatsanIf I had ONE complaint, its that the bag isnt resealable - but this isnt really an issue. Also this does track quite badly - but thats probably more the work of my cat than a problem with the litter (that is, I think hes using the same force he would use on his catsan, but being lighter this flicks out much more) (Plus he's always been over-zealous with his digging, so might just be something I have to contend with until I get a hooded tray!)

UPDATE: Dec 2013 - Ok, I HAVE now found a better litter... it's called Cat's Best Okoplus litter! Also available through Amazon...Why did I try the above litter after all I said in my review below? Well, we found that the untouched Worlds Best very quickly starts to absorb the unpleasant smells from the deposits made by our kits (now nearly 8 months old) despite its claims of not needing a complete change for up to 2 weeks for a one-cat household. Of course, you'd expect to need to change the litter after a certain length of time, but this smell seems to emerge within about 4 days with our 2 cats using it, so although it seems more economical than other litters I was still spending a fortune.BUT this doesn't happen with the Okoplus... In fact I've only completely changed the litter 3 times since the beginning of October, and otherwise just replace the litter that has been removed with the poo & wee, and theres no absorbed smell AT ALL! ...The only negative is that the Cat's Best Okoplus does track out of the litter tray more than the World's Best, which does annoy my rather house proud husband who does the hoovering and dusting downstairs! But I can live with that far more than his complaints about the smell from the World's Best litter. (Mind you, much like a shark detects blood, he can detect a molecule of unpleasant smell in a whole houseful of air!)----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This litter is perfect if you are after a clumping litter. It helps to cover the smell of the solid stuff up to a point, and physically covers it nicely too, and it forms the perfect clump around the wet stuff. Both these can then be scooped up, the loose, clean litter falls nicely through the scoop slots and the remaining yukky bits can be safely put down the loo and flushed away, so no smelly bags hanging around. I did buy the ''Litter Locker II'' (from Amazon) to help sort out the latter problem - it is brilliant and does keep out most of the smell, but you still then have to dispose each bagful of mess somewhere. The World's Best is completely recyclable and safe for flushing which saves a lot of hassle. The only negative is that it does 'walk' out in the cats paws more easily than some, as the granules are very small. But we have a litter mat in front of the litter box and the granules do seem to get stuck in that and not get any further. Highly recommended.

I honestly thought that it was quite obnoxious for a company to name their product the best at something, but so far the name has stood up to it's name and my high expectations because of it's name and it's price. As someone who tends to buy my pet's products on the lowest price I can get them (while being effective), I was very very hesitant to try this, as it seemed quite pricy for the amount of litter I would be getting. Little did I know, the amount in the 6.35kg bag, was more than enough to last a lot longer than any other litters I have tried, even longer than 15kg wood based litters, which is second best and was what I used before I tried this one.I am on my third bag of this cat litter, and can think of many pros and only one little con.Pros:- Absorbing liquid and covering of solids are great!- Clumps really really well - Separates the fresher bits a lot better than ones I've tried before.- Cats' pee and poop don't smell as bad.- Flushable -if you get really really lazy sometimes, you would be delighted to find out that this actually really flushable. It has never blocked my toilet, and probably will never block yours as well.... as long as you don't put the whole bag of litter in the toilet bowl.- Litter box is a lot easier to maintain because this litter absorbs and clumps very well, and is also flushable.- My cat loves it and sometimes spends quite a bit of time playing and standing on the freshly placed litter. The one little con:- Because it comes in very little bits, it can get stuck on cats' paws and take it with them on their way off the litter box, same goes for when you are placing a new set of litter/topping up the litter box. But that can easily be solved by cleaning it up.Disclaimer: This can only be World's best cat litter, if you, of course, also do your part of cleaning and maintaining your litter box. It's a great product, and makes life a lot easier as a cat owner, but don't be too lax on cleaning your litter box.

I'll try my best to keep this brief, but I really am impressed by this litter. As someone who recently got a cat and was DREADING the cat litter smell, this litter has been a life saver. I have some key points to share about my experience with this litter in a covered litter tray with a 5-6 month old kitten:- Clumps well, very easy to scoop and dispose.- Fantastic at covering odors: Thanks to this litter I don't even know what cat urine smells like. When the poop is covered (which my cat rarely does) the smell is masked extremely well. In the rare occasions when my cat does cover her poop well, we wont even notice she's done one until we lean down and get our noses up-close to it (to look inside the box).- It's practically scentless,so it's very easy to forget you're even in the same room as the cat litter box (In my case, a tiny kitchen).- As other reviews have confirmed, it does seem to last a month (with one cat at least) which makes it pretty decent value for money. I'm coming to the end of my first month with this litter, only ever topping it up, and I'm completely secure that guests can't smell anything when they visit! (not that I have many right now). For good measure I also mix a little baking soda into it.- Don't worry if your cat eats a bit of it when you first put it in! It actually says on the packet that this will probably happen. It doesn't harm them and it doesn't seem to deter them from using it as a toilet.- I haven't done a litter change yet so I haven't done a rating for it, but as it's not dusty I'm not worried about it being a faff.- Tracking - When my short-haired cat comes out the box, a few bits come out with her. But I don't find it stuck to her or in random places around the house, and as mentioned, it's not dusty.Overall, with my admittedly limited experience, I would recommend this litter. I can't see a lot of downsides to it! Hope this is helpful to others considering it.

I have 3 house cats and one of the litter trays where you tilt the tray so that the litter falls into the trap, the soiled litter falls into the tray underneath and when you tilt back, the unsoiled litter goes back in the tray. Been using this for about a year and it's great as I don't need to pick out the poo etc and can change the waste tray a couple of times a week. I had been using Tesco Clumping litter at £4 a bag and got through at least 2 bags a week. I also had a lot of heavy waste to put into the refuse bin.So what about Worlds Best Cat Litter?Wow the reviews were right. I've been using this for a week and only used half a bag (smaller bag)of this litter for the 3 cats and with the way I'm using this I expect the bag to last at least 2 weeks if not more. The smell from the cat urine is non existent. It clumps well so less falls into waste trap and more good litter is reused. Much less waste to put into refuse - after a week, I still have a half filled tray of poo (yuk!) but normally I'd be changing the tray 2-3 times per week.It has a very fine consistency almost like couscous. This litter does seem expensive on first glance but lasts much longer. I've just subscribed to Amazon's subscribe and save with some other items to get 15% off orders and ordered bigger bags of this which work out just over £20. I expect this bigger bag to last me a month or so, so £5 per week. I was spending £8-£10 a week from Tesco. My 3 cats took to this immediately having previously used the clay type litter for years.Makes much less mess, cats don't seem to kick this out the tray as much.ProsCheaper in long runLess lifting of traditional heavy litterLess waste to dump in refuse binBetter for environment (not only product which can be flushed and is made from corn by product, but transporting this too)Reduces urine smell dramaticallyLess mess out of tray from cats kickingConsFeels expensive, but isn't

The one and only litter I keep buying - go ahead and join me!The granules have matte color (white to very light brown), they have almost no smell (just a little wood-like one) & are easy to clean thanks to their tiny size. Every scoop will perform fine, even those with the smaller holes.Filling the tray produces no dust cloud.Clumping works great, as well as the odor control. The granules catch every bit of moisture and lock the smell perfectly. Cleaning takes just a while and the clumps can be flushed in the toilet. You just have to remember about two things:- be sure that your sanitary system is capable of dealing with such a big waste (tiny pipes can complicate things)- don't throw everything at once (manufacturer recommends 1-2 clumps at a time)How long will it last?It depends, but be aware that the manufacturers calculation (6,35 kg for 60+ days in case of a single cat) is very optimistic. After a week of use you will quickly notice that the granules start to get... dusty (simply by falling apart). No matter how often you'll clean it, it will happen and only changing the whole tray will reset the situation. So if you don't want your cat looking like he fell into a bag of flour, remember to react as soon as you notice his/her paws getting more white. It's corn product, it's 100% safe, but You just don't want that pawprints on your carpet, believe me. So all considered, more like 30 days for a 6,35 kg pack, not 60.Summary: the best cat litter in UK - it's lightweight, clumps and catches odor perfectly, yet isn't as dustless and efficient as the manufacturer as claiming. After trying 5+ different brands I have no doubt that this one provides the best performance on every level. Highly recommended.

This is, quite literally, the best cat litter you will ever buy. There is no dust except a little bit on the inside of the bag (I buy the very large bag, so to avoid getting any of that dust on my arm when I’m scooping out some new litter to put in the trays, I just cut the top bit of bag off). The smell is pleasant, a little bit like sweetcorn! There is a bit of tracking but I think you’ll always have that with any litter, however there is a lot less than with any other types we have tried before, because the particles are much finer and don’t stick to the cats’ paws so much. Both my kittens seem to love it.A tip is to not scoop out the way all the poo immediately once they’ve done it,but rather shake the contents around so that the little presents they leave you are fully covered in litter before you attempt to scoop them out - that way, all offerings are nicely coated in litter and can be easily scooped out, without leaving residue on your scoop, nor on the side of the litter tray. The best part about this letter, is that you really don’t have to do the weekly massive litter change like you probably do with your existing litter.I simply scoop out all offerings daily, sometimes using a latex glove to remove any small clumps that have gone through my scoop, sometimes I’ll tilt the tray in order to wipe any small smears off with antibac spray, then I use a little plastic shovel to top up any litter that has been used. You read that correctly – you never need to do a full litter tray clean again! And before you wonder if it smells, it never smells bad.And this is with two uncovered trays because I have kittens who like to stand up tall when they poo.Buy it. You’ll be so glad you did ?

I must have tried nearly every cat litter on the market over the years, and that is no exaggeration, but I can honestly say that this is the best.It looks like grape nuts, and actually smells a little like cereal too. I really don't understand those people complaining about the smell. This is probably the least offensive smelling cat litter there is on the market. Most people surely use hooded cat litter trays nowadays now anyway? They keep the smell out a great deal, so I do highly recommend them. The urine really does clump up into a solid lump and you simply scoop it out.. No loose litter goes anywhere, it is all stuck to the block. The urine clumps are also flushable due to this being a natural litter and cat urine being as sterile as humans.(However you cannot flush cat faeces down the toilet). Our cat covers her faeces, so we end up with faeces that is covered in dust and dry enough to scoop out. This litter is great, as all it takes is for you to scoop a little litter onto the faeces for it to be coated enough to not leave any faeces residue on the scoop.Because of its amazing clumping ability, this litter lasts such a long time and rarely needs a full litter change. A 6kg has lasted us 6 months easily. Finally, there is no tracking. Of course, our cat brings some out on her paws, but it is not dusty. Its just the odd 2 or 3 granules which are easy to either pick up or brush up. Although I highly recommend getting a silicone litter mat in front of the litter tray so that all of the stray litter collects within the patterns of the mat.All in all, don't hesitate to get this litter. You really won't regret it.

I've had my cat for 13 years, and within that time, I've tried pretty much every type of cat litter, clumping, non clumping, fullers earth, crystals, scented, wood based pellets, etc...and I've not liked any of it. The clumping ones usually never did, and the wood based litters were disgusting once wet. I came across this just over a year ago, because my cat was slightly radioactive after having treatment for hyperthyroidism, and I was told I would need a flushable cat litter. I read a lot of reviews on this, and didn't really believe it could be any good, but bought some because at the time I had no choice. I have to say, in my opinion, it really is the worlds best cat litter. It clumps so well,it's almost good fun scooping out my cats wee!! It flushes well, I've had no problems with a blocked toilet. I do have to sweep the area where the litter box is quite regularly, because my cat comes out of the tray and flicks her feet as she's trotting off, which flicks litter all over the place, but she's always done that, so it's not the litters fault. I've never found litter anywhere in the house other than around her tray area, I've never found dusty footprints, which I have done with previous litters. I had white footprints all over the house with catsan. A bit of advice though, put a good amount onto the tray. Make it nice and deep, this way, when your cat wee's,mit will clump well, and not go down to the bottom of the tray. You'll be able to scoop it out like an apple shape with no residue left behind. This litter is expensive, but will make your life easier, so it's worth it.

With a four cat household, I find myself unfortunately pre-occupied with litter trays and their contents. I've tried many brands, and I can honestly say this one lives up to its name. My cats love the consistency, it has no scent that offends their nose, and smells nice enough to me (it doesn't smell of much to be honest.)Its absorbent and clumping nature means that urination "clots" into a lump you can easily remove. It is meant to be flushable, but if your plumbing is a bit dodgy you might want to chuck the urine chunks in the bin to prevent pipe congestion. They don't smell at all, which is a blessed relief. As for more solid waste, the strength of fragrance is going to depend on your cats diet.Mine eat raw, so it's less offensive. However, this cat litter does a great job of keeping the smell under wraps and neutralising it quickly. As for the tracking of litter, it can still have this problem to some extent. The larger pieces are a good size so as not to get caught between the cat's toes, but over the course of its use, the natural substance does break down into a kind of sand. It doesn't cause respiratory problems, as it's not fine enough to inhale, but it can cling to the cat's fur and end up outside the litter tray. A good mat solves this, though, and leads to a very satisfactory litter tray arrangement. One other bonus: due to its natural composition, the litter doesn't irritate paws, unlike some which are more synthetic.

My 2 Maine Coons have done their business in the World's Best Cat Litter for most part of their lives. Frankly, I've not found a better, safer, healthier product out there for the past decade. Yes, 10 years. I can't believe it either. If my little monsters had any health complications, it was certainly never due to their litter. I like the advert that touts the benefits of this litter where the guy shows how natural it is by EATING it! I wouldn't do that myself but I can see that my cat would end up doing the same when she grooms herself after each poop and pee.Cut a long story short, I have been using the original version (green bag) and it's worked for us over the years. Clumps their pee well.Coats their poop well. It's a hefty sum to put up front but it doesn't get dirty. It's a pale yellow grain so if any speck of poop is left behind, you can't miss it. If an insect falls in, you see it. I like that it lasts. In a 2 large litter household, we go through a 12 litter bag in 2 to 3 months. A few top-ups is all that's required when the level goes down and I have to remind myself to change the entire litter once every month. I'm sure it could last longer but I rather err on the side of caution. Hope this helps anyone who is hesitant in taking this rather pricey route. It's really worth it and trust me, it truly is the world's best cat litter. Just Wish their distribution network was a little wider.

I have always been an loyal consumer of CatSan cat litter. I have had two cats and both of them were happy enough with it.However my second cat began to start weeing under tables and pooping in secret spots and even though the litter box didn't change and it was cleaned out daily she would opt for anywhere but her litter box. It got to a point where we were having to decide if we could keep her due to having a young family. After a lot of research I decided to try and change her litter to something a bit more fine. Having tried CatSan clumping cat litter in the past, I hadn't liked it and felt like I went through it too quickly. So I decided to attempt World's Best Cat Litter, somewhat reluctantly due to the price.I am so glad that I made the decision to go with Worlds Best Cat Litter. After a short transition period my cat started to do all of her business in her litter box again, with litter odor and it was really easy to clean out. What has surprised me the most is how long 1 large bag has lasted me! I'm sure I am now actually saving money as I was buying a big bag of CatSan for £10 a month and yet Worlds Best Cat Litter has lasted me a few months (it is worth mentioning that my cat has also now become a outdoor cat),I don't think I would waste my money on any other cat litter from this point forward. You get what you pay far and Worlds Best Cat Litter is just that!

My main criteria for cat litter is being flushable. This is fantastic for flushing! It’s biodegradable, natural, clumps well for clean scooping, and bonus!! You don’t ever need to empty it to clean the tray!! Any soiled marks on the tray itself can be spot cleaned, I’ve only had to do this twice in two months.I do recommend scooping either daily or a couple of times a day depending on your cat/s. I scoop last thing at night, and some nights it has many clumps! It never smells like anything other than the product unless there are poops that haven’t been buried or for a short time after he does. The product itself smells of dried processed maize (!)a not-unpleasant aroma.I keep an old ice cream tub by the loo and take it to the tray downstairs every night, then once I’ve tipped it down the loo I fill the tub with water and pour that down the loo over the clumps, which cleans the pot at the same time. I keep the scoop by the tray.It isn’t meeting the dust-free claims, he’s a black fluffy cat and sometimes emerges with white paws, the floor around the tray needs sweeping regularly. The picture is after a weekend of no sweeping. All this considered, I’m ok with the dust because the other aspects make up for this, I try to brush it off his fur if I notice it to lessen any tracking or him having to ingest it. But it’s safe, so not a concern.

After reading as many reviews as I could find I bought a large bag. I have two 8 month kittens. Ive had cats for 20 years and always used sophisticat white litter. My female Pepe took to it immediately. My boy Soda initially thought it was a huge tray of food for his greedy guts and began licking it. Toileting in it was a no go for him. He whined the house out then poohed in a corner of the living room. I took the pooh and put it in the tray. It was like training him from scratch. When he needed to go again he whined and cried, circled and circled the tray. Then Pepe came in and went straight into the tray and pee'd. He watched and sniffed. Then to my delight he got in and used the tray and has ever since. Its great that it flushes and apart from the initial drama the very first thing I noticed was there was no smell atall. Im still abit hesitant about it but thats been five days and if things stay as they are I will be delighted. So far I am very happy with the performance of the litter. Yes it does track a little but ive never known any not to. I can tolerate the tracking and the little extra expense for an odour free more environment friendly produce. Ive given it four stars just because its early days with it.

We wanted a more eco-friendly option that would also be safer for our kitty's ageing respiratory system but still provide the clumping convenience of standard litter.First impression: our cat is actually willing to use it! Win.Second impression: holy cow, it actually clumps. Awesome. We've been using this for several months in conjunction with one box of clay litter (our cat is old and fussy, and it's better to have multiple options than an odiferous gift on the bathroom floor...) and she prefers this most of the time. The pee spots do need to be allowed more time to dry a touch to clump properly, but do clump very well. The litter doesn't do much for odour control compared to unscented clay litter, but that's probably more noticeable because our cat refuses to cover her poo. ("Marvel, humans, at this glorious offering I have left for you!") It does require changing more frequently as otherwise the scent of urine can build up, even with clumped pee removed promptly several times a day.Likewise, we've had no issues with our plumbing and the clumps dissolve upon hitting the water to flush away neatly, and our cat has been less wheezy. As a bonus, the bags are a lot lighter to carry up the stairs!
