Oh dear me what's this downgrade? was the reaction from Lucky, our prim stray cat. Used to the inherited ancient huge tray she was very unsure of this smaller one with the turned in edge. Kept her legs crossed until being let out in the morning on day one. I could see she had examined it by the footprints but was having none of this. Cold wet weather and familiarity has done the trick and she happily uses it now and I'm also a happy owner as it keeps the litter from flying around the floor. Only one or two bits reach the floor now. So easy to keep clean but the clip on top is a bit wobbly and flimsy and after three weeks the clip on doesn't stay in place properly which causes frustration. All the same it is a very good purchase for the price if you have a new kitten. We have found that the tray isn't big enough for our adult cat - one toilet use and she won't go back into it again until it is cleaned out even though we use very absorbent litter.

First the negative: the connections on each side are irritating and not as firm as they could be - they definitely could be made to click into place more significantly, even if my cat didn't behave the way she does. The positives: the size is perfect - it doesn't take up a huge amount of space but is not unrealistically too small. The inward facing surround is a wonderful idea; every indoor cat I've had has had an incredibly annoying habit of playing with their litter, and using their back legs at great speed to kick as much out on the floor as possible. Needless to say, I've tried every possible solution, be it behavioural, replacement litter trays and different types of litter. This trays edges limit her ability to kick litter out - not completely, but by a significant quantity. Not only that, she cleans her paws on the sides, scraping litter off them, which limits the amount she tracks through the house.Fantastic.

Excellent size and easy to clean! Rim clicks/locks on perfectly.Brought this as our elderly cat started to urinate over the edge of her old tray - which did have a lid on top (with the door removed)! This has a rim around the inside edge win the aim to keep their bums inside and therefore the urine inside too. The material is a smooth plastic so therefore you don't scratch the bottom as you dig away waste - it scoops off easily! Cleaner litter tray.It is a good size for a standard 4kg cat and even my fatter cats would use it if they have to (they are outdoors cats). It turns out the old cat dislikes the new litter and therefore hates to sit in the tray and so overhangs. This is a problem with cats! And I don't blame her, the litter sticks to her fur and tracks around the house... I just make a well in the middle free from litter and she goes fine, but once the bag is finished I'll buy the old litter again!

First I never thought I'd write a review for a litter tray but this has made life a lot easier. I bought 2 of these for my rabbits, one pair likes to dig in the litter kicking it all over the carpet and then drag the tray about. This tray solves 2 problems, the rim stops the litter going everywhere and the design of the underside helps it grip the carpet. Previous litter trays with rims have had a smooth bottom so they slide easily meaning when the tray isn't in its usual place because the buns have been dragging it about they still poop in that spot, because this stays put all is good. If the price hadn't shot up since I bought mine I'd order more for the other rabbit rooms (I have bun families in 4 rooms of my house). At least it's hard, dry virtually odorless rabbit poop I'm dealing with not stinky cat poop.

Good size litter tray. Deeper than most. Ideal for my Norwegian Forest mix cat. Although quite large, she's got plenty of space in the litter and is able to dig down. For litter liners, I use Sainsbury's strong storage bags - not thin cat litter liners. The storage bags are much bigger and all the slack needs to be placed at the bottom of the litter tray. However, when the bag is lifted out, all the soiled litter drops down to the bottom of the bag and clear of the top part of the bag which the cat may have shredded. Hence, no spillage when changing bags. I place a layer of thin cardboard (empty cat litter bag cut in half lengthwise) inside the liner bag at the bottom before adding the litter. This ensures that the bottom of the liner bag won't get shredded.

So my cats sometimes miss the tray, and poop over the edge, but that's nothing to do with the product, maybe the lid could be slanted inwards a little, it might help. But still, I saw it, saw the size and shape, and bought it. So that's on me. Or it's on my cats really, for being too dumb to poop in a box. Or maybe they do it on purpose, with them being cats and all.The top cover clips on and off, which is handy for cleaning, but it's a bit finicky to remove and reattach. There's a clip at each of the 4 sides, I think, but for some reason one of them is always difficult to clip back on.Still, it's a good price, and it does the job fine, much better than the cardboard vegetable tray and sheet of plastic on the bottom, that I had rigged up before it!

I have a cat on the larger side of medium so I went with a bigger tray for him. It's deep enough and has the right dimensions that he has no issue with it. The lip is a separate piece and is intended to snap on, however, I found it incredibly flimsy compared to the sturdy plastic of the actual tray. It was difficult to snap on and stay as it would snap onto one side and snap off of another. Now that it's in place it will stay that way unless you pick up the tray, as the deforming of the tray snaps the rim off. Also doesn't seem to contain that much litter as my cat still flicks litter everywhere. Otherwise, it's a good tray. But the rim is basically useless and if you're truly looking to contain litter, consider a completely covered box tray.

My old litter tray, a hand-me-down from my predecessor, was over 18 years old! It was a faded blue colour and shallow. It had a broken corner. I am now quite elderly and cannot crouch as low as I used to be able to, which causes me problems. I like to wee in the corner or against the sides, which meant I often used to miss all together and soak the floor. The high sides of my new tray make me feel safe and catch my wee. The nice mid grey detachable rim not only complements the black of the base, but also forces me to squat further into the tray, making an accident even less likely. The first time I used my Trixie tray my keepers huddled in the kitchen and celebrated, not awkward at all.Love Jasper.

The cat seems happy with this though he still manages to scuff earth out of the tray onto the floor despite the lip around the detachable dark grey edging frame. (Possibly cat litter rather than earth might not get scattered around quite so much as it is bigger grained.) Some have complained that the edging comes away but this shouldn't happen if you click it on properly all the way round and don't lift the box by this piece. Makes for easier cleaning of the box too. My only criticism is perhaps that the plastic used for the box itself is not terribly substantial and I shall be interested to see how long it lasts. Otherwise, a sensible product designed for the purpose.

My last cat litter tray never had the lip on it and my cats would dig most of it over the side and make a right mess. This cat litter tray is a lot better with the lip on it as this stops my cats from doing this. The litter tray is very sturdy plastic and is easy to clean. The only problem I have with this litter tray is how the lid clips on and off. It tends to unclip very easily on three sides so when picking it up it upclips. But one side seems to stay clipped even when you don't want it too. It doesn't really explain to you that the lip only clips on one way. Had to find that one out for myself. Other than that I was very happy with it.

Bought this as for back up use for when cleaning the usual big litter box covered one my cat likes to use, The actual volume inside the tray is less than I expected, the dimensions given are for the top outer rim which flatters the perceived size from the listing, but it is a reasonable quality item and he seems to like it even though it's a little tighter on space for him than I expected. You can't put too much litter in it otherwise when your cat thrashes about the litter will spray out, unless you have a medium to small feline, for which it might be ok. With my biggish cat I get away with about two centimtres deep Catsan hygiene litter.

I bought this tray for my three month old kittens.i had a litter tray but it was not deep enough and the kittens kicked litter everywhere.I had spotted a similar product in a local pet outlet. It seemed to be robust and was bigger and deeper. It was just what I wanted.I spotted the same thing on E-Bay and it was 25% cheaper.Same size, same quality. It has proved to be just the ticket and I would recommend it.Are there ant downsides?Well, only one little one. It does take more litter to keep it filled to an acceptable level(for the cats)...this is offset by the fact that they do not kick the litter out of the tray.

So folks, if you're wondering if it will suffice for kitten/cats/lil puppies-well no need to worry cuz its really good enough.. Size is decent, very easy to clean, you can wash, dry etc without worrying.. Its large enough for kittens of all kinds.. As for cats, well indian breeds won't have a problem but adult persian ones may or may be as comfy.. its a matter of taste though and what litter you use ;)Plastic strength is okayish, sturdy enough, light weight but not like the plastic chairs we use.. All in all its good, fine for ~700 INR but would be perfect around 500-500 ish rates.. Enjoy!!

The main reason I bought this was because it has a lip around the edge and I had read somewhere that this considerably reduces the amount of litter thrown out when the cats are gardening. This tray is also deeper than most others which also helps retain the litter. I am pleased to say that the amount of litter thrown out is negligible compared to other trays. My only critisism is that the removable lip only fits one way round because one end of the tray has a slight dip which is hard to see if you are not aware of it.Overall an excellent tray.

This arrived late (not company's fault bloomin Royal Mail) and the company was kind enough to refund me as we thought it was lost - I can't find a way to repay it so please get in touch so I can make payment as this is a fantastic product. I have two crazy kittens and so far have tried all sorts of litter trays. One they eat and the covered one I hated as it was a pain to keep it clean and 'scooped' . This is a great size and has cut down on the rubbish on the floor by about 80%. Really good value thank you and please do get in touch.
