I am a big fan of all things Wera.This screwdriver magnetizer/de-magnetizer is no exception.I've now owned this for over 3 years.Its had a lot of use, but, with nothing to go wrong it's still as good as the day I first bought it.Its so quick and easy to magnetize or de-magnetize your screwdrivers.It works flawlessly.Its small and with the rubbery/plasticky material it's made from, basically indestructible.Magnetized screwdrivers are so handy to use. So, go on. Treat yourself. You'll thank me in the long run.(I have included a short video, so you can see how easy it is to magnetize/de-magnetize your screwdrivers.)Thoroughly recommended.I hope you found this review helpful.

Good things come in small packages, well this little beauty was a shock and a delight. I ordered it because my selection of often used screwdrivers had begun losing their grip, I initially tried low cost magnetizers from car boot sales and none gave the type of service life I expected,paying a few pounds got you a couple of hours before power dropped off.When I saw the name Wera I knew they had to be better so thought go the extra few pounds and buy decent quality for once, and boy I am glad I did, despite their small size of 40x40 mm they leave tools with a very s strong magnetic flux which lasts. I thoroughly recommend them to anyone who wants to rejuvenate their magnetic tipped tools.

Does exactly what it's supposed to, quickly and easily. Really good if you're working with tiny black screws that you don't want to lose!Sadly, this is an add-on item, and I kept forgetting to add it on (I wish you could just pay postage on add-on items where needed), so it took me ages to remember to get it. However now it has very much earned a place in the "useful little bits" tray of the toolbox. Yes, it's just a magnet in a block, but you always know that the orientation is correct, so it's a decent time saver- it's a lot less unruly to use and keep in your toolbox than a basic magnet.

There has been many a time that i wished that the screwdriver i had was magnetised for certain jobs and not magnetised for others. Like a creature of habit i use the same screwdriver for most jobs and have having to switch between brands and types due to blade thickness difference and handle shape was a pain. You now can have the best of both worlds. You can magnetise and demagnetise the same screwdriver whenever the task requires it. Great item for only a few quid. Another welcome addition to my ever growing Wera tool set.

Huge fan of Wera tools. Possibly the best screwdrivers available - excellent quality. Have gathered quite a collection now and would definitely recommend this magnetiser/demagnetiser to compliment your drivers (regardless of which brand you own). Simplicity to use and dead handy to have for those jobs when you need the the assistance of a magnetic tip. To demagnetise simply 'wipe' the tip against the opposite face.Nicely made too, like all things Wera. Also affordable. Good addition to the toolkit.

Magnetized pretty much every precision screwdriver I have, trick is to swipe downwards in one stroke, not up and down like the arrow indicates. Quickly do this 10-15 times and you have yourself a reasonable powerful magnetized screwdriver. The more times you do it the more powerful the magnetism becomes.It can also demagnetize if done on the sides which is pretty nifty but something I haven't really felt the need to test. It's nice and compact so fits in my toolbox without any issues. I like it!

I ordered this without much hope of magnetising anything with less than 20 minutes effort per screwdriver. But I decided to give it a try based on the other good reviews.Well - I am surprised - about one minute of manipulating a screwdriver bit in the star will generate enough magnetism to hold a 1" No 8 screw - and maybe more, I didn't test the limit.There is also a demagnetising slot if you want to return to non magnetic for example of working on sensitive electronics or a mechanical watch.

after buying a set of Wera stainless allen keys, i was SO impressed by it's quality i started paying more attention to their product line. while waiting for my budget to ''bounce back to health'' from a couple of major purchases i did recently, i dec died to order this little gadget & sure enough, it doesn't disappoint :does EXACTLY & effortlessly what it says in the boxi'll be buying a lot more stuff from Wera in the following months

I've got lots of sets of Wera screwdrivers and this little tool has made them more versatile. Bring able to magnetise the screwdriver end to hold screws in seconds is a massive help in some situations. I didn't think I would use it as much as I do.Fantastic little device and would highly recommend, better than the cheaper ones I've has in the past as they magnetised the screwdriver tip but only very weakly.

this is one of those items that allways come in handy....when you least expect...couple of weeks ago i was changing some props on my sons quadcoptor....the screws where tiny....i did have magnetic screwdrivers but not the size i needed....this gadget wouldve made it much easier.....easy to use...just rub non magnetic screwdiver on it a few times and it will be magnetic (temporary).....highly recomended...

Great price, great magnetiser. A brilliantly useful item to keep in ones toolbox especially if your hands are a little shaky at times. Just magnetise your screwdriver and a screw stays put. Or use to magnetise tools to pickup screws or pins or clips that have dropped from bench or table especially if you cannot reach to lift. Obviously only works with ferrous metals (steel, cast & wrought iron).

Works really well to magnetize screwdrivers although the effect only lasts a short while (next day will need magnetizing again) in my experience. But once magnetize its enough to hold a screw that needs to go somewhere awkward. Also the magnet itself is handy to find small screws that you've dropped as it's quite strong.

Good little magnet, very strong by itself so good for retrieving lost screws that have fell in tight gaps. Magnetises well, maybe i was expecting too much from the magnetism but easily holds a screw in place. Magnetism does wear off a littlw sooner than i would have liked. Other than that good product, glad i bought it.

Ordered this to go with my new Wera Micro 12 Universal screwdriver set, to enable me to magnetise the screwdrivers if I want to do something with small screws, or alternatively demagnetise.Very useful bit of kit and small so can put it with screwdriver set easily in toolbox drawer
