If you have a Dremel you will have come across the EZ SpeedClic range of tools. The main advantage is that you are able to change the item attached to the mandrel very quickly and safely.I use it for cutting disks, polishing pads, cleaning pads etc all of which you can switch between in a few seconds and more importantly without any tools.I have a total of 3 of these mandrels now as I keep one in each of the 3 main EZ SpeedClic boxes I have, so I don't have to go hunting for them. They are expensive as most Dremel stuff is but it IS top quality, and of course you have tp pay for that, I did make the mistake of buying some cheaper cutting disks but they were a total disaster and dangerous,so I won't be doing that again. You don't buy a Rolls Royce and then put a replacement for something you bought for 50p in it, you would (hopefully) buy Rolls Royce replacement part... same with Dremel.Make sure you put the mandrel on the drill first before adding the accessory, it is so much easier to put on, but also be careful you you not accidentally turn the Dremel on, personally I always remove the battery to be ultra safe, and also make sure the accessory is fully seated and 'clicks' in, especially the very first time you use it.Good quality item, stars all day long !

I lost a speed clic mandrel that I bought prior somewhere and decided to just buy another one here and whilst it holds 38mm cutting frisbees like an absolute champ. The price is a little bit high. I was expecting to pay like 4 quid or something since this is a small springy thing that holds stuff that'll amputate a finger if you're not careful... speaking of which - this thing is safe when it comes to securing blades and stuff but be cautious of older mandrels that you probably bought a year back because the last time I used a very old mandrel I accidently invented a frisbee gun that shoots out cutting disks! :D

I like gadgets and had looked several times at the Dremel Cordless Tool but concluded I wouldn't use it, couldn't really justify buying it. Then one of my sons gave it to me for last Xmas and I have found it extremely useful! The small tool sizes mean that it can do a lot of fiddly tasks for which the more usual power tools are too clumsy - especially cutting metal and shaping wood. Changing attachments is easy once you get the hang of it. In particular, the Speed Clic mandrel, to which the rating on this review refers, allows cutting discs to be changed v quickly - I feel it is an essential accessory.

This speed click mandrel is just perfect because I don't need to unscrew/loosen the chuck and no extra tool needed ( to loose and look for). The best way is to change the blades or any other accessory fitting this type of mandrel when it is still attached to the tool (remember to unplug or take out battery first). You have better control and grip to un-mount the blade from the mandrel if you do this because the spring in the mandrel is quite strong. Use same technique for mounting the new blade.

I bought this so I could use the speed-clic sanding disks I bought for sanding surfaces, but they did not come with the mandrel that was shown with them.It works very well with the sanding disks, but altogether they seem expensive for what you get, and you pay for the name. While it is quick and easy to change the disks, it is not something I need to do that often.I doubt I will be getting any other speed-clic disks to make it worthwhile getting this system.

Once installed, it's fast and trivial to switch between different SpeedClic compatible disks. Disks aren't held very tightly. This wasn't really a problem in operation, but I was mindful that the disk isn't held as firmly as I'm used to which felt a little unnerving if I'm honest. Also it's subject to Dremel's premium pricing, so I do question the value for money for what is a very simple device.

I had to lift some large (45cm square) kitchen tiles which had popped and needed re-sticking down so with the aim of minimising damage. I used this nifty little cutter to cut through the grouting between the tiles - it's small form made it perfect for the job - very clean cut and very manoeuvrable. Don't think I would have succeeded without it.

While it works quite well as a mandrel, getting the cutting or grinding wheel clamped into it can be a bit tricky. Somewhat difficult to hold down the clamp mechanism with one hand while popping on the wheel with the other. Well worth it, though, because the abrasive wheels that go onto it work very well indeed.

I have a non-dremel multitool, and the mandrels which came with it both threaded their screws, so they were useless. These replacements fit perfectly despite it not being a genuine Dremel, and they're clearly better quality. For a very low price, my multitool is suddenly extremely useful again.

Essential mandrel for using those more exotic drill bits and such. Very easy to use and change tip if necessary. I especially suggest getting a diamond disc cutter with this, makes cutting into stainless steel much easier. Package was delivered quickly to my home door.

Like most of Drexel’s stuff this is pricey for what it is but it makes disc changing so much easier and quicker it is worth it. It should be supplied as standard now if it isn’t already. It’s a far better method than fiddly little screws.

As a mandrel enthusiast, I eagerly awaited delivery of this item. Boy, was I not disappointed - it does everything you need and expect from a mandrel. Since receiving it I have hardly been out of my shed.

an excellent tool, i cut a circle in a delicate travertine tile, very impressive but let the wheel and mandrel cool down every now and then and don't over load it. Would have been 5 but 4 is good enough

I have owned several Dremels over the years with many extras including a drill press, but never invested in the clic system. Now that I have I wish I had done so a long time ago. Highly recommended.

A must have item for certain applications/"gizmos" and while said gizmos etc might be considered a tad expensive changing them shows the mandrel to be efficient fast and effective, no wobbles etc.
