This adaptor is designed to fit the PSM160A orbital sander and others I think. It was supplied with a collar and cryptic cartoon sheet that implied the collar was to be fitted to some models only.I found that a small Dremel modification was needed for a proper latching fit to the PSM160A.I also found that the outlet of the adapter fits snugly inside the hose nozzle of our Dyson vacuum (but note that Dyson accessories normally fit on the outside of the nozzle).The outlet of the Bosch adapter is 29.5mm diameter with an o ring taking this out to 30.5mm. What a shame that Bosch do not publish simple figures like this to help us select appropriate accessories!Once in use this is a vast improvement over the little filter box that comes with the sander.

I've seen a couple of reviews that said some surgery was needed to get this to fit the PSM 160A. I thought I would have to do the same, at first it looks like it won't go over the last lip on the sander, but with just a bit of wiggling and flexing it does go on quite easily and the clips engage - see pics. The separate collar supplied with this is not needed on this model.I also thought the pipe for the vacuum to fit on looked tiny, but it does actually fit snugly in the nozzle on our Miele hoover, so I assume it is pretty standard. No more stopping and cleaning the filter out every 5 minutes when doing a big job like a door etc.

Fits the Bosch sander with a squeeze.. Not what I expected but I suppose this ensures a tight fit.Doesn't fit the hose on my Dyson (I always bemused with vacuum attachments what machine the manufacturers use as a 'standard' size given I suspect there is no such thing) and there are no adapters to cater for different machines.. hence the 4 stars. You might think that's unfair? I solved the issue with a number of rounds of electrical tape around the hose connector to make up the space and that works ok.. But not ideal given how expensive this piece of German plastic was in the first place.

Didn't realise it was an actual Bosch product as I thought it was an after market accessory. Despite of what other people have written it fits and stays put on my PSM 160 and it connects up to my henry hoover. For peace of mind I tape the hose pipe on but it's withstood everything so far and well made and once connected there's so little dust to clear up. If it's still in one piece in 6 months I will up the four to five stars

I am so glad I bought this, what a difference this makes to dust control. The bag that comes with the Bosch sander when you buy it is handy, but it does leak an awful lot of dust into the air and it fills up quickly which was a pain but this adapter is a game changer and attaches to my vacuum with a cen tec adapter

Yes it is also difficult to remove, you have again give it good pull. But it does fit. The exit tube however is smaller than my Henry Vacumn tubes. When I use it then I will probably use tape to make the vacumn connection better and airtight. The aim is to collect all dust into the vacumn tube..

The product itself is fine, well made etc. Not brittle. Comes sensibly packages, but it does not fit our sander (Bosch GEX 125-1 AE). The listing and the packaging itself say it is for the GEX 125 (among others) but this must be a different version from the model currently available.

Product is fine - Bosch need to add Model PEX 220 A to their list of models with which this item is compatible - its abscence almost stopped me from ordering & I have answered a potential customer who was seeking advice on this matter - it fits the PEX220 A perfectly.

Much better than the dust collector on sander. Really reduces the dust. Unfortunately it doesn't fit my vacuum but solved problem by putting the elastic bands free from postman....got hundreds of those....did the job attached to my vax air.

Can now make use of the PSM 160 multi sander in doors as with out this it was filling the room with too much dust that took hours to clear and clean up. Only thing is the tube doesn't fit my Dyson however easily fixed with some black tape.

This item was bought as a replacement when I moved, as I left behind my last attachment. This works well to attach to a Karcher or even a Bosch professional styled vacuum system. It helps reduce dust drastically. Breath with ease.

If you own any Bosch power tools with oval outlets this is the only way to attempt to connect a vac hose. Be careful though, the circular adapter sold by the same seller fits this but will not fit a standard UK vac hose.

This fits my PEX220A sander perfectly, despite it not being among the officially compatible sanders listed by the manufacturer. It's hard to get too excited over a plastic adapter, but hey, it does the job admirably.

Fits securely to sander (bosch pex 400 ae, old model) and with a little fettling (file down the 'pips' around the outlet a little) fitted snugly to Henry hoover accessory tube. No dust whilst sanding. Great!
