I will refrain from commenting upon those "1 star" reviewers below who thought they were buying an open ended "ratchet spanner" --- REALLY???All WERA tools are superb quality - even the "detractors agree"Wera Joker SB Ratchet Combination Spanner (I bought a set 8 - 19 mm) .The Joker Spanner is double ended: one end open with a device that stops it slipping off the nut - very useful in most situations.The other end is a ratchet ring spanner with a fine tooth mechanism - very useful in tight locations with limited room to manoeuvre -- the newest models have a switch lever (similar to a socket set wrench) so no need to turn the spanner over to reverse direction.I rate WERA tools as the very best on the market and yes,

Great for tight spaces / long threads with the ability to retain the nut if required - a well thought of feature. Grips the head really well and I’ve never experienced bloody knuckles from slipping under heavy torque. Thought I’d regret not buying the 13/13 ratchet type but since the idea of the 13/10 was to save hunting for additional spanner’s in the bottom of the tool box, I’m pleased I chose this one.

Really useful design. Removing an eletric motor from gearbox with limited space to turn the spanner, would of been really awkward with a normal design spanner, with this one it was easy. Will get the whole set eventually. They are not ratchet spanners. Anyone who thinks they are probably shouldn't be using tools.

love these spanners, have the 10/13mm and now the 17/19mm open ended spanner, they make fitting of difficult nuts so easy. where you can't get your fingers in and its down in a hole/side of machinery/engine, fit the nut and lower carefully into place and screw the bolt/screw in - easy.

bought with the smaller 10/13mm one both a great edition to my tool bag need to be Mobile in my job so it turns four spanners into two. If anything abit too well machined i sometimes struggle to get them on corroded bolts

I have two of these, the 10&13mm and this one 17&19mm I also have a 4-in-1 Reversible Ratchet spanner so in three spanners I can tackle most jobs. The nut holding function comes in handy now and again.

Perfect for the job it was intended for. Covers are put on with either a 10mm or 13 mm bolt head so this is perfect.It also has all the WERA quality’s looks good is tough and light.

Fantastic spanner if a little pricy, But well worth it. I have some of the rest of the set in my collection as well Will add more as funds allow 10/10

Nice grip and a well proportioned qualty at its best have bought more 1 draw back they stop at 19mm but very pleased .
