For the money these are quite good, they are not the quality of snap-on, elora or even sealey premier etc, but are no where near the price of the top brands, as an ex-vauxhall dealer mechanic i would consider having these in my tool box but mainly purchased these as a back up set to have rolled up in the boot of the car.I bought four sets all togethter two metric and two imperial as every bolt generally has a nut as one spanner isn't much good if a slightly siezed nut has a spinning bolt. The spanner jaws are quite strong and the gripping surfaces are just about hard enough for frequent use although they may struggle after a coulpe of years of hard daily use.The PVC tool roll sadly probablywould not last a week in a proffessional enviroment but it is ok if they are intended for occasional use or as a back up set.Modern cars do seem to have every conseivable size nut and there are a few sizes missing in this set, so if your working on various makes and models you may need to consider a bigger set with every size between 8mm and 19mm.All in all these spanners are quite serviceable and i believe a sound investment for the weekend DIY'er or mechanical apprentice starting to biuld up a tool box.

For £10 you can't go that wrong, you would think that with spanners you can't go that wrong either - they are just chunks of metal after all. However, I'm sure you have experienced screws mangling up when you screw them in and out a few times - because they are made of cheap soft metal. These are actually really good! I got a Morris Minor a year ago and thought I should get a set of spanners. I have ended up using them a lot and I have no complaints. There is no deformation at all. The finish is good, I can tell they are better quality than some of my other spanners I got in a cheap tool set as a gift. The ring is at a slight angle, like most spanners, and has 8 points - really useful for some of those hard to reach nuts. Some of them have gathered a little surface rust, but nothing I can't wipe off. The handy bag has split at the back on all of them so they just fall out - which is kind of annoying, I'm not paying for a bag though!Very good. I would get them again if I lost mine in a flash, for the £10 I paid I couldn't be happier.

Bought because I needed a set of decent spanners with closed and open ends. These are brilliant for the money. I really can't fault them at all.The wrap/roll they come is cheap plastic, but it does the job and has a tie to keep it neat. The spanners have a nice weight to them, well finished ends and they certainly have the strength to do the job.Overall, I'd recommend these to anyone in need of a set of metric spanners.

Like many previous reviewers I agree that the finish on these is not the best, the packaging describes them as having polished jaws and rings but only the outer surface and faces are polished, the rest, including the actual mouth of the open end and inner side of the rings is left rough. Other than that the strength is there, even the little 6mm seems to be bend proof. Overall very happy.

These spanners are well built especially for the price. The price has dropped since I first bought them so they are even better value now. These feel well built, look well built and can be used on stubborn bolts without any trouble. The pouch they come in is handy if you don't have a spanner rack because you can easily slip them in and out and keep them neat in order. A good product.

A few reviewers have mentioned that these are 'no thrills' and dont have the greatest finish on them but lets be honest...there spanners.A good neat and tidy set which rolls away and fits happily into your tool set when not in use. With sizes 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17 and 19mm they will meet the demands of most jobs you encounter.5 out of 5 for the set and the price.

Quality wise, very good for the above average mechanic.Could do with some more angulation of the circular bit.Steel keeps form even if you slip on a nut.would not hammer them with a steel hammer. They are cast not forged, use a rubber mallet insteadFinish is not premium but then the price isn't either, isn't it?.

How this can be sold at such a resonable price is hard to follow, an excellent set of spanners, open one end and ring at the other. If you need such tools just buy them. I have a practical engineer background. Just buy them and see for yourself, of course make sure the size you want is in this pack.

Hosently definitely worth the money would recommend to everyone as a mechanical engineering these spanners take alot of grief and hammering had for over 2 months still in perfect condition had to order another set for home use they are superb 5/5 they are a must buy item

What can I say? They're spanners, they seem tough enough and I've got remnants from a previous Draper set that have lasted me over 20 years, can't see any reason why these wouldn't last just as long. Now if I could only stop losing the ones I need!

what a difference this set has made as I misplaced my original kit due to a house move. great value for money. I managed to remove the blade from lawnmower, sharpen and replace in minutes, thanks to the sensible range of sizes and robust quality.

Not bad at all. They may not be Snap On quality but for what I wanted and for what I paid, they do the job just fine. well cast, a bit rough, but all in all they are a no nonsense set of spanners that I will keep in my tool box for many years.

25.11.2014

The set seems fine, tool roll is cheap plastic, but does the job. I did have to file the 17mm spanner by .2mm. It wouldn't fit on a 17mm nut without filing. Luckily I had bought a digital caliper for measuring for a few quid..

Absolute bargain. I've been doing some heavy spanner work on an old French car and the fit and strength are certainly up to the job. If I were to be really critical the finish isn't the best, but look at that price!!

This is a good value set to have tucked away for when you need them. No frills. The finish is so so, but they are strong enough for the average DIY'er. Rolls quite small when not in use. but for the price not bad.
