This is a really nice little basic adjustable, better quality than I expected for the price. It's kind of smaller than I was expecting, very compact which is not a bad thing. Pretty lightweight due to its compact size, without feeling cheap or lacking quality.Grip is pretty nice, maybe the back grippy bit could have been a bit softer but it's certainly more pleasant and grippy than just the bare metal handle. The jaws are good quality, all nice sharp edges, and the adjuster wheel is positive and easy to use. The wheel/jaw stays put, but there is a bit of slack/play in the adjustable jaw - at this price it's to be expected, although good quality this is not a premium priced high end tool. The jaws open extra wide,to a full inch in this case. Not sure that you'd necessarily have enough leverage with this compact a size to take on 1 inch nuts, but its a handy feature and may mean you don't have to resort to carrying around a much bigger/heavier adjustable.Overall a great little compact adjustable, at a good value price. Good handy addition to the tool box, Very pleased with it :)

I bought a set of Draper adjustable scanners a few months ago and the quality was terrible.I then bought a set of Stanley adjustable spanners and what a major difference. These spanners are the best I have ever used. They fit each nut with a confidence inspiring tightness. No matter how many times you use them on the same nut they never need adjusted. The clever thing is that Stanley have engraved a small measuring scale on the head of each spanner so that when you open the jaws you can see exactly how far they are open. Nice trick. The heads of the spanners are a slim fit which allows you to use them to work at a nut in the tightest of areas.Buy these with 100% confidence. If you read my other reviews you will see that if I feel that a product is rubbish then I do not hold back my opinion.RegardsMartin mc Larnon

I write this review based on my decades of experiences as a consumer and user of this type of tool.I have been actively using Stanley tools for 50 years plus all the way back to “fixing” my first bicycle. Now I have grown boys and farmed out my old tools (or had them “borrowed” thus the need to renew and replace. The older spanner’s were plain metal. It gave and still gives a solid grip but these are gentler to my old hands with a moulded covering over the metal handle. The adjustment for size moves easily under my thumb. Thus it does everything that it is meant to do. The price is fairly good, better than the high street superstores and in my case includes delivery as I am a prime member. There is no indication as to postal costs for non prime members. I expect these spanner’s will outlast any life I have left.

Needed an adjustable wrench at short notice in order to put some Ikea flat-pack furniture together. As it's a prime item I was able to collect it the next day from a pickup location, top rating for delivery! The item itself seems to be sturdy and certainly helped me to construct the furniture quickly. Having said that I did notice that the adjustable jaw does seem to wobble a little and change in size during use. This became apparent when I had to tighten 4 bolts of the same size. In between each bolt I had to readjust the size of the jaw, since they were all the same size ideally I shouldn't have to do this.In the end it did it's job though and if you can cope with adjusting the size between each use then it works well.

Stanley often do great tools - they're a bit of an old school brand these days, but they tend to be reliable and sturdy. This wrench is no different. I needed something that was small enough to chuck in a tool box without thinking but also had a good variety of width settings - look no further if this is what you want too! The wrench is large enough to tighten pipes, bolts and a variety of other different tasks. The screw to widen and clamp down is smooth and easy to use. It also doesn't loosen on use like some other cheaper wrenches that I have bought in the past.Good wrench - 5/5

A great alternative to having a set of spanners, the adjustable wheel means you can easily adjust the width to tighten. It does the job but the adjustment wheel can be a bit fiddly to to stay in one position, I've often noticed the spanner loosens when using it and have to keep tightening the wheel during use, another qualm is that it is quite thick, when trying to loosen a nut on my boiler I couldn't use the spanner as it was simply to thick to fit between the pipes to reach the nut. For every other use, putting furniture together etc, it does the job well.

Bought as a two piece requirement for a toilet seat with two different nuts ( as I said in the other review - WHY!) the other needed grip, this one needed a lock on for a tricky angle against a wall. Perfect, pocket sized piece of kit for a tight space, both strong and reliable gripping action which did a job my other tools couldn't. For such a cheap price it performed admirably and my new toilet seat (also bought on this site) looks (and feels) wonderful, as I also used the tools to install the new seat. DIY made easier or what?

having owned a few stanley products (most of which is the fatmax range), this fell short of expectation.will do the job perfectly well, but the general finish was not upto what i expected; slightly sharp edges that could of have a file run over them at factory to give a rounded edge, and the handle is all made of the same hard plastic (both black and yellow sections). was expecting the black to be slightly rubberised for comform.

Needed a compact adj. spanner with a decent range that would last a while. This thing rocks. It's solidly built, is very comfortable to hold & covers up to 25mm bolt heads.I have quite big hands, but needed this to fit in a small 'carry anywhere' tool kit at work. It does that and will probably outlast the other tools & case :)Best thing I've bought in ages, along with a small DeWalt driver bit set ordered on the same day.

High quality like you would expect from a Stanley product. The adjustable grip stays tight once you set it to your desired width. I've used it a few times for odd jobs around the house. Also, this spanner doesn't have a super long or heavy handle. Perfect for odd jobs around the house like tightening nuts on wobbly dining room chairs, our adjusting radiator valves. I expect I'll have it for a long time.

This Stanley 150mm wrench is well made with a comfortable plastic/rubber covered handle. The adjustment mechanism is good too and there are Vernier style markings in millimetres where the jaw slides. The rotary control gives precise adjustment of the jaw width and once set the jaws remain in place unlike some other models I've used. This is a really handy size wrench and a great addition to my toolbox.

Nice compact size to neatly fit into small tool bag pouch. Stanley always seem to make good quality products so didn't really have any concerns on this purchase and the tool has proven to be a good buy. The smaller size 6" imperial is ideal on hex nuts/lock nuts up to approx 20-25mm. Even if the jaws go a bit bigger you'll struggle with any leverage if you need any real force appliedHighly recommend

The locking of the thread on the adjuster into the tread of the moving jaw isn't perfect, so there is a small amount of play once you set it into place. However, it works great as a cheap hobby wrench and is still going after being used roughly on a variety of things. Probably best to buy better if you plan on using one every day, but for value for money, this was a great buy.

Very handy adjustment wrench. I bought this as I was satisfied with a previous purchase from Stanley. The wrench is compact and very small, making it portable especially for bike riders who need tools on long rides. The adjustement ring is very smooth and responsive. The design is appealing with a combination of black and yello, my two favoutite colours. I recommend.

Top class and easy to grip wrench that enables you to open many nuts and things like that which are seized-up when other wrenches do not. The longer the length the better the pressure on the object being worked upon. I think this is the smallest size they make. Great price for a quality tool. Available in a range of lengths and sizes up to 300.cm.
