Watch_Dogs 2, as the name obviously suggests, is the sequel to Watch_Dogs. Having never played the previous game, I went into this game head first as it looked a lot more appealling than the first. Boy was that an understatement.Of all the games I played in 2016 (Mafia 3, FFXV, COD, f12016 and a bunch of others). this game left the biggest smile on my face and fondest memories in my head. Even after I returned the game (more on why later) I still find myself missing it.The setting of the san francisco bay area (Im from the UK so no idea if oakland and silicon valley counts) was vibrant and each area had their own distinct vibes and atmospheres.the NPCs were interesting to interact with and the characters in the game all felt well written and brought to life by great voice acting. As a millenial who doesn't like hipsters or other millenials, I found this game a blast to play through. the driving mechanics were fun and each car had their own characteristics. the hacking mechanics felt cool and it allowed me to navigate puzzles and missions with a vareity of different tactics. the online features felt nicely implemented and it allows users to wreak havoc on other players during their games. Now onto the bits I didnt like. the online mode is surprisingly short. there arent anywhere as much activities as GTA online and you can literally do all the online stuff in 2 hours tops. On top of that, whilst the game was fun to go though, the story was just too short. even if you played for 3 hours a day, you can complete the game in 6 days (I got a platinum trophy in that amount of time). the vehicle upgrade system felt a bit convoluted and could have been simplified a lot more. above all however, my biggest gripe is that once you finish the game, there is literally nothing left to do as you explore all the areas through the game anyways and the side missions can be completed quite easily before the final chapter. because I had nothing to do, I just decided to return the game less than 2 weeks after getting it.Now about how this game compares to the competition. after playing this game, I decided to youtube the 1st game and was shocked by how bad it was. It is because of this no-one wants to get WD2, yet it got me thinking, how many other games are a case of sequels = better. the best comparison I can make is Saints row 2 to Saints row 1: SR2 was more enjoyable and bat-*** crazy than SR1 (a trait SR3 improves upon even more), whereas SR1 felt like an rubbish GTA clone for xbox 360.The biggest game to (obviously) compare Watch_Dogs 2 is of course GTA V. Whilst I admit GTA Online does provide a lot more for players to do; the gameplay, the story, gameplay and characters of Watch_Dogs 2 feels a lot more fun that GTA V. GTA V in which players get kicks killing people, yet you try doing this in Watch_Dogs 2, you'll feel like your wasting time. Watch_Dogs 2 allows players to have more freedom in exploring the game, pranking NPCs and other players and taking part in a lot of weird and wonderful missions. it courages people to use their heads consider their actions, whereas GTA V is about all guns blazing. The main character marcus is a lot more likeable than franklyn, michael and trevor combined and the supporting cast are more memorable. even the main villian of the game, whilst similar to that of GTA V, felt more of a villian than a parody. Whilst San andreas in GTA V has mixture of LA and the dessert, the environment feels nowhere near as vibrant as Watch_Dogs 2.Despite spending 2 weeks with the game, it left a great impression on me. If Watch_Dogs 2 could flesh out the online features and simplify the car modification app, this would be THE game of 2016. For now, I implore everyone reading this article to get this game. trust me you wont regret it.

I was big fan of first Watch Dogs and i really enjoy hacking world and most of things are control by you and can do what ever you want to do. Graphic was really good. Then they dropped big news by announcing Watch Dogs 2 and the trailer. It was go good i really wanted at lunch date. I did pre order the same day. Thats all old thing now lets talk when i received this game yesterday.First thing we do is download game on our PS4, it only took me around 30 minutes to do so where GTA 5 took me 4 hours. Game is really to start where you have to hack some doors, computers and some servers to get control of game. It took me around 20 minutes and i am out from starting mission where i have huge open world where i can do what ever I like. The best thing is i can hack cars and direct them where ever i want. New personal rope weapon is really handy and cool to use. Drone is also really good and handy to complete mission and it contribute a lot when you have to complete mission. Now i want to talk about graphic of this game. First was good but this game they have improved a lot with everything. every thing feel good IQ of this game feel more advanced and they dont mess up all things. Cars and bike selections are various so you have huge options which is always good. ONLY ONE THING I DID NOT LIKE WAS DRIVING OF THIS GAVE, ITS OK BUT DOSE NOT REALLY FEEL LIKE YOU ARE DOING IT.With Aiden Pearce ditched as lead the action now centres on Holloway, a gifted young hacker and the latest recruit for DedSec, a hacking collective operating in a near-future San Francisco. DeadSec is at war with Blume, the corporation behind the revamped ctOS networked city operating system, plus a range of other bodies in which Blume has interests, including technology companies, movie studios and a scientology-style church. To win, DeadSec needs to expose Blume and its allies, build a massive following and set up a massive botnet formed from millions of smartphones and devices. It’s the only way to take CtOS 2.0 and Blume down for good.Watch Dogs 2 is no great leap forward, but it sees the series headed in the right direction with more colour, more flair and a real sense of fun. The action’s solid and the mission design much less generic, while Ubisoft Montreal has given you a great set of tools and the freedom to use them as you will. If the original Watch Dogs was a mean-looking hound, all bark, no bite, the sequel’s a more playful pooch that’s all about having a good time – and it’s all the better for it.In short, this isn’t one of your all-time-greats. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be very good indeed. By daring to be bright, colourful, sometimes silly and – above all else – fun, Watch Dogs 2 should win over even those who felt let down by the original. By letting go of some of its self-important seriousness, the Watch Dogs series has earned a second chance.

I purchased Watch Dogs 2 today, albeit not from Amazon but I felt here was the best place to leave my thoughts on the game. Ever since Grand Theft Auto V came out around three years ago, I had since been looking for something that matches it when it comes to being able to explore an entire city and have free roaming capabilities in a detailed open world. I have been playing GTA now since it came out and I desperately wanted something else to occupy me, something that would give me the same high quality gameplay and environments but in a fresh, new location, whilst still keeping me entertained. I had previously played the first Watch Dogs and to be honest, I didn't like it,so I was a little sceptical of this sequal and initially I wasn't going to buy it. However, having since watched many YouTube game plays and reading many reviews I was left feeling that this game might be the game I have been looking for. So, today I bought it, and since buying it I have been able to play it for quite a few hours, and determine how I feel about it. The first thing I must say is that it by far surpassed my expectations and the game is visually stunning and graphically one of the best open world games I have had the pleasure of playing. The characters I have found to be very likable and not as dreary as the characters from the original watch dogs. The game also plays well and there is lots to do and missions only happen when you want them to leaving the world open for exploration. The city of San Francisco has been very well reproduced and there is a lot of attention to detail. The game is also very clear and vibrant and graphically I have nothing bad to say. All this said I have to say that I am really enjoying this game and I am quite pleasantly surprised by it, making it far better than its predecessor. So if you're wondering whether or not it is worth your hard earned cash, then I would say yes, I think it is. It will certainly provide me with quite a few hours of enjoyment and I can't wait to discover more of this beautifully detailed city. It comes highly recommended from me.EDITED:I originally rated this a four star due the driving not feeling quite the same as gta v. However after now having played this game for many hours i decided to change the review to a five star, as i have now got used to the driving and feel that it isn't really that bad after all, it just feels different. It took me a while to get used to the difference but once i did my opinion changed and i now feel that the driving may actually be better than gta v as it feels more controlled and cars dont go wherever they want if you drive too fast. So i now award this game five stars as i can now pick no faults with it at all. It is still a highly recommended game from me and i have now nearly completed it.

Found this to be a surprisingly enjoyable game. After the disappointment that was Mafia III, I needed something that was going to wash that memory away. Watch Dogs 2 is easy to control, fun to indulge in and just the right size for a sandbox game. Its no way as big as GTA or other style games but I found this smaller size gave me more to do and nothing felt like a chore.Missions are spread with enough variety to keep things interesting, with a mixture of puzzle based missions which are excellent. Using an RC or Drone to complete them is awesome and was the best way to play the puzzle sections. I liked using the smart phone to download apps and select missions.Gunplay was evenly balanced and with the difficulty not hindering you in the long run (you can play on easy of hard - what ever suits your style) it was easy to pick up. Driving is something you will need to persevere with though. GTA this does not handle like at all. But with practice and some crashes, you will pick up the mechanics quickly. Its a minus point for me though as I didn't like the handling all that much or the crazy acceleration. Riding different types of bike really had no repercussions when you are screaming over hillsides at 100mph or colliding with stationary objects. Rarely did I fall off.The main characters in the game comprise of the player (Marcus) and 3-4 of the dedsec crew you work alongside in San Francisco which is created in amazing detail. The buildings and many with a function to them, the NPC interaction with each other and the player (especially when you have a phone out) is spot on. I would often just walk around and listen to their dialogue which you can hack via text message or listen in to phone conversations. Possibly some of the most annoying hipster type characters in a game though can be found, including the main cast of characters. Pretty much detested them throughout the whole thing. The major villain of the piece is a top knot sporting, track suit wearing bearded hipster who I hated even more. These nearly made me switch off and by the 5th cut scene with them all, i just started skipping in the endThe online portions are great, players invade your game or visa versa and hack you/bounty hunter you. Very easy to play and just weighted enough to present you a challenge and give you enough incentive to try more.Really enjoyed Watch Dogs 2, felt encouraged to explore everything I could and max out the games achievements. Even after completing it to 100% the online portions continue to be excellent. DLC has been released but I would wait for this to come down in price. £12 for possibly 1-2 hours of extra missions really is not worth it

I won't go into detail about gameplay proper, and there's good reason for that. The mission 'Get to DedSec Headquarters' has been the instruction at the top of my screen for three hours, but I've been too busy exploring. It is GORGEOUS. I'm a fan of the first Watch Dogs, but where that can feel a little on the small side, this game rectifies. So many places to see, so many different environments. Forest, beach, residential areas, and of course the city. The lighting and colours are dazzling. The feel of the place is huge and so authentic. I haven't got much inclination to get back to playing the game yet, because the open world is just so thrilling and so beautiful.Does it feel like a rip off of GTA5?Yes, at the beach and up in the hills. But that's not really the game's fault - you can't get annoyed that the Californian coast looks similar! The vehicles are great. Many are the same from the original game, albeit with different sound and also different driving physics. In this respect, it's also more like GTA 5 than original Watch Dogs. The weather is so convincing. I spent half an hour in a VW Beetle in the pouring rain, driving slowly down the hills looking at all the different coloured houses that are so synonymous with San Francisco. Later, I was on top of a building in the Civic Center, a huge real sky above me. It's so immersive.Drawbacks? Well, I'm not sure I like the way that all the controls are different now than from the original, despite the functions being the same. For example, you profile everyone automatically, you cannot put the phone away. When you hack a person or an object, it's L1. To sprint is one click on L3 (thank god, you don't have to hold it down), while R2 is reserved for jumping and can be held to parkour over many different obstacles. It's going to take a little while for me to get used to this. It's a shame that once again the music is so limited. The classical music playlist has about five or six songs in it I think. I wonder whether we will ever be able, in any game, to import our own tracks. That will be the day! It's a nice change to see that Marcus now has the ability to melee, something that Aiden Pearce could not.I almost don't care at this stage if the rest of the game is crap (I don't think it will be from what I've played so far) because this is a new world to get lost in. I'm blown away by the graphics and feel of the place. Truly, exciting times to be a gamer.

Whilst the first Watch Dogs was massively over-hyped, I still enjoyed the game nevertheless. Watch Dogs 2 looked like it had some major improvements and as I liked the previous, decided to go for it.Rather than just a one button press to activate hacks, you have a bit more choice at hand. By holding L1, you now have four choices (depending on what you are hacking); as an example: Something that can explode, you can either make it explode right away; place a proximity field to make the unit explode when an enemy enters within a certain distance from it, or create some noise (make it spark) which will attract enemies towards it. With doors, you can open them or even power off (stops enemies opening them).Furthermore when you unlock the ability to hack cars, you can stop them, reverse, accelerate and even put them off course (so much fun). Also, added later in the game to your arsenal is the RC bot and a quadcopter. The RC bot can be used to scout enemies, get through vents and hack terminals; the quadcopter can't hack anything that requires a USB input, however is still just as handy. Combining these two makes the game feel a bit more stealthy. As for the Story and side operations, I thoroughly enjoyed it all and personally really liked the characters from the overly tech lover Wrench to the socially awkward Josh. The whole point is to shaft the bad big companies exploiting every day people, gain as much following over social media to help for their final big operation. As for trophies, I rarely platinum games however this game is a breeze for trophy hunters as most are unlocked through the story progression, with the odd side ones like buying 25 cars or doing 25 scout locations when in fact there is 57 available. The hardest trophy was finding a NPC throwing up and taking a photo of them, it's a luck or the draw running around the area of a bar.Whilst I felt money was well spent with this game, it doesn't really have much replayability apart from the odd bounty hunting missions, to my knowledge there is no game+ to allow you to start the game anew with all your unlocked abilities and you can't replay missions even once you've fully completed the story, so I ended up trading it in.All in all though, this is a game I would recommend.

Seeing as i avoided watch dogs after hearing it was a generic game, with a generic character and generic plot, i decided to give watch dogs 2 a go. I was genuinely surprised by how good it is and how thick the plot is and how good the game plays. Some would say that the plot isn't to their taste and that is understandable. The game is focused more on hacking and being stealthy than running in guns blazing and if your not very stealthy the game can be quite harsh as a result (Lets just say that Marcus doesn't absorb many bullets). Running in guns blazing is an option, just not a recommended one. The plot is all about companies selling peoples private information and spying on them. Now,to me this is a good plot as it represents the modern day technology and whats going on. However, to many this wouldn't appeal to them and they would prefer a story about revenge.Graphics are outstanding for a game this big! We're not battlefield graphics which puts all other games to shame, but the graphics are much better than GTA 5. Watch dogs 2 has one of the best open worlds as it has hundreds of side missions, characters to interact with, races to do (even sailing) and online missions. So there is something to please everyone in this game. You can even take selfies at famous landmarks to gain followers!!!Gameplay is a bit of a mix between Gears of war shooting and Assassins creed free running. This gives it a well designed gameplay and has little no faults (the parkour can be a bit dodgy sometimes, but that's expected from games these big).Marcus is definitely an improvement from Aiden Pearce and the same goes for the cast which over time you bond with. Wrench is probably the biggest example of this but they are all different, interesting and fun. The one downside that i had with this game is that it seems unlikely that Marcus would shoot people and kill gang members, it doesn't fit his character traits and seems too nice, but this is me being picky. My overall conclusion of watch dogs 2 is that it is worth buying. The price i would recommend getting this game at is £35 or less, thats how much think this game deserves. Not game of the year, but definitely close to being it!

Any similarities in people or events is coincidence, aye sure. What a game I don't know if I spent more time playing or posting clips. Its a game that can be played over and over with the multiplayer options from hacking server's,stealing and freeing hostages, but whether we believe it or not a lot of people don't have the internet for different reasons, well I don't think that's a problem,(might need an online update)the 1player story mode is the best thing about it,from posting photos to your NPC friends of landmarks, finding and saving songs, working through uber, the usual racing cars, bikes ,carts and best off all your perfect perty drones, land or air.In my eyes these drones made it 5 sunssuperb, the only thing is if you upgrade the abilities tree a certain way the game that isn't the hardest but challenging here and there becomes really easy for certain things(drones dropping things which I was doing already by flinging the stickys on)you can sit in the car and deploy the drone to recon then the car to finish the job,and you'll never comprehend how funny it is to see a so called ordinary person argue with a remote control car that you just used to insult them in an upperclass English accent(ruined so many missions using the insult trigger)obviously I left other parts of the upgrade tree empty like gun skills and went mad with the drone branch, but if you play it the right way it won't be lopsided like my experience, lots to do politically minded but you don't have to be to enjoy, definite buy especially as I'm typing its £20-25 well worth the money,I bought a season pass for my nephew who lives with me and couldn't wait till Xmas to see if we could both use it so bought another,it turned out we could have, gave the spare to a friend,I'm typing this to explain not even wasting £30 soured the experience, remember there's people on the street that will ask for help leading to missions.P,S, sorry about grammar and spelling and the way this is put together.

I'm going to start on the good. Marcus is a good character very fun to play you can taunt people with emotions menu. There are lots of clothing options with each shop being different fashion types. The phone camera is great. Cars are nice and there are some new editions. Also can customise the colour of the dedsec weapons and cars. Now The bad is there are only 3 guns you can equip at one time so you can't carry them all at once so if you are in need of a grenade launcher on a mission to kill an armoured guy then you will have to go back to HQ to equip it if you haven't already. One slot is used by stungun and you can't switch stun gun for pistol or anything. Just two slots to choose from. All dedsec guns can be made in a 3d printer some are very expensive so you will have to save lots of money in game. Also later you unlock military guns Aswell to equip. I prefer the old watch dogs weapon selection menu and would of liked lots of weapons to switch between on the go in missions even if there was a selection of 5 weapons would of been enough. It can be very hard because of this in later parts of the game because you get lots of armoured enemies come at you who have no mercy and are difficult to kill if you get spotted. I've also noticed you have no armour perks or health add on perks like in the original and health seems to be very short so you can die very quickly in a fire fight with ease. It is easy to be overwhelmed by the enemy. Controls are also confusing very different to the 1st watchdogs but I do enjoy playing this the earlier part of the game was better. But still I think it could of been better if they had kept the original weapon wheel and added some health to Marcus Or at least perks to give you a choice to add health. Still a good open world game just has lots of flaws. But will keep you entertained for a couple of hours.

The first Watch dogs burned a lot of people, including myself. However with this new entry in the franchise I've got to admit, amongst the amount of titles dropping around this time of the year with COD or Battlefield, Mafia 3 and Titanfall to list a few, this has got to be the most fun. The graphics are vibrant and colourful which make you feel happy when you play throughout the world. The realism of the world built in San Francisco is immersive. The radio stations and songs really resonate with me, probably because its my type of music. I especially like the collectible research points which help you progress your skill tree. You don't feel overpowered at all and having spent at least 10 hours with the title already,I cant wait to hop back on. The stealth works really well, and needs to! The enemy AI are hard! I died multiple times trying to take a gang down which proved a nice challenge. The driving feels massively improved, so don't listen to people who think otherwise, because they must be really bad at the game or just not have played it! The amount of options you have to hack, mess with the AI in this game is super fun. I had a hilarious time pinning criminal charges on AI who would hurl insults at me if I was in their garden. Usually I would wait for games to depreciate in price, cause I'm slightly broke ATM but this isn't a game you want to pass up on for two months.Hope this helped!

I haven't received the game yet as I've only just ordered it but I've watched videos from youtubers (VanossGaming, IAMWILDCAT, BasicallyIDoWrk etc) and the game looks overall amazing, don't expect it to be anything like a GTA game from what I've seen there are some restrictions in the game but nothing like the first game where you couldn't go up mountains. Also the game looks bright and beautiful, much more brighter and nicer to look at apposed to GTA 5, Mafia 3 and other open world based games similar to this.I highly recommend this to anyone who's a fan of open world games and to people who enjoyed the first game as from what I've seen it's an amazing looking game! Will update once received!UPDATE:Game is brilliant, arrived today (2/3 days earlier than it should have been, was supposed to arrive Friday-Saturday, which then changed to Thursday but arrived today {Wednesday}).Driving in this game feels pretty much like Mafia 3 driving which is okayish I guess but I'll eventually get used to it!I like what Ubisoft done with this game making it more appealing to the younger generation with the wording used in the game, the clothing and overall the entire game is pretty much mate for someone around 16-mid to late 20s!

I got this game on a bit of an impulse having seen positive reviews. I actually quite enjoyed the first game, so the promise of a game that delivered better on the vision in a more light hearted way sounded ideal.I've now played the main story and most side missions and I'm pleased to say it was a good purchase. The hacking gameplay is still one button stuff, but the puzzles that revolve around it are great fun (I think of this as an open world puzzle game in many ways).Driving and combat aren't entirely amazing though they are fine. After upgrading my skills though I found myself playing the last three quarters using stealth and my tools and never engaging in combat.I also found I never got involved in chases after quite early (and even if I did I learned to just drive into the sea and swim away). The characters and the story were silly but fun (though there is a serious message hiding under the surface) and I found it all absorbing enough to want to keep playing.Visually it looks nice, nice and bright unlike the last game and they seem to have realised San Francisco really nicely. Sound and music are also good.Overall it's a game Im happy to recommend, it turned out much better than I think anyone expected.

I never owned the first Watch Dogs. It got a lot of hype and I feel all games which get so much attention before they come out are always destined to let you down. This game slipped under the radar, maybe due to the let down of the first one. It's a fun open world game with a twist, which is you can hack almost anything. Cars, cameras, people's phones, forklifts and the list goes on. It's good because it is different to other open world games. I find it to be more strategic than others (such as Gta). You do have the option to go into missions all guns blazing, but I love being stealthy and using certain hackers tools to out-think my opponents. I find the graphics to be beautiful and the world definitely feels alive. The only reason for 4 stars is the driving. The driving is never quite as good as the driving in the Gta franchise. However, Gta is more car focused, the name obviously gives it away (Grand Theft AUTO). Watch Dogs 2 isn't focussed on cars, and you can fast travel to most places anyways. It really thrives when you are walking, amongst the environment.I can't comment on the story as I haven't completed it yet, but if you like something different, with the option of using stealth, it's a must buy.

An improvement on the first. The first had the dullest main character I've ever played as. Bella from Twilight was more interesting than him. They sorted that with WD2. Markus is much more interesting. But he doesn't really have much motivation to do what he's doing. It's like he just feels like taking these big corps down. Nothing is driving him.Wrench is the best character in there. I loved the way Wrench and Markus played off each other.San Francisco is gorgeous. Lots of little details. The missions feel a bit 'copy and paste, cross out target name and slap on a new name' though. Online is pretty buggy at the moment. I should of got a trophy from online too but it didn't trigger. It was too buggy and irritating though to go through it again. So gave up on trying to get the platinum. I wish they would stop pushing online trophies to get the platinum. I hate people, playing with other people online and relying on them to not be idiots is a huge test to see how long it takes me to impale the TV with the pad.The story was alright but the ending was lame. More violence would of been better for the end I think. It just felt a bit bleh.I have to say though, watch the honest trailer for it. It's spot on.

I can't really say I liked the 1st game as it was quite boring and repetitive. Biggest reason why it was quite a letdown is that Ubisoft made too many promises (as usual) and showed too good graphics which they downgraded for the release (as they always do). Still, I finished it because we don't get too many GTA-like games every year. I was sure that 2nd game would be better because you have to be crazy to do it on the level of the 1st ones knowing how it was received by the public. And I was right - this game is much much better. It's still a bit repetitive, but that doesn't make it bad as majority of sandbox games are. Graphics is great, loading times are very fast on PS4 Pro (after Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 - lightning fast),gameplay is interesting, there aren't many pointless collectibles and so on. I bet achievement/trophy hunters would love it too as I got 40 out of 50 trophies without going for it and I still have a couple of main story missions left. I can't name any things I dislike, really. I can name which ones I hated in the 1st game, but none of these exist in the 2nd one. So, recommend to anyone.
