I have moved from a gear s3 frontier that I've used daily for 3 years. That was a brilliant watch, if a little bulky.The Galaxy watch active 2 builds on every one of the S3 strong points, refines them, and adds more features. The build quality of the active 2 is very good indeed, but materials are not at the level of S3 but this means weight saving.I'm using it paired to a Huawei P30 pro, and they work very well together for the most part. But, there is a caveat.... Blood pressure monitoringI'm pretty tech savvy and have pretty much all the latest tech currently available, but even for me getting blood pressure monitoring on this p30 pro / active 2 setup was a bit of a pig.

I must say, this is an excellent wearable, both as a smartwatch and fitness tracker. It is very accurate in terms of counting steps and heart rate and has various functions as a smartwatch that make it very useful such as the ability to directly answer calls and respond to texts (regular texts and Whatsapp texts!) from the watch itself. I bought the 44mm aqua black version in aluminium which is a light shade of black with a deeper tint of blue which looks absolutely stunning. I have 6.5 inch wrists and the straps are a comfortable fit for me.In terms of battery life it performs excellently. One cycle is able to last me the entire week with little to average usage.

So I bought this and swapped it out for my iWatch series 4 and boy oh boy was it 100% worth it!Battery life is 10 times better lasts me 2 days where as my iWatch only lasted a day, tracks all calories not just your active ones, so literally everything you burn in an entire day including what you burn during your sleep, auto detects your activity so if your walking / running etc it will automatically detect it, tracks your sleep without the need for additional applications on your phone, can input how much food you've had, how many coffees you've had and download a variation of clock faces.I also find this a lot more comfortable to wear during the night than the iWatch as it sits flatter on the wrist.

EDIT: I gave the watch a second chance after looking at reviews of similar priced watches and seeing my problems did not happen to others I decided to purchase again. The new watch is much better, battery life and GPS work first time now two weeks and several activities later it is still great. If you aren’t happy with the performance send it back and ask for another one.Got the watch 2 days after release and owned for 30 days everything worked good apart from the main reason for buying it. The GPS simply wouldn't work. Well actually it worked for 3 days then stopped working for 2 weeks then worked again for 2 days then stopped. I tried every setting, with phone, without phone, bluetooth on,

This is everything I expected it to be. It's comfortable to wear and looks good whilst still doing all the things I need it to. I have HRM and GPS on all the time and the battery will still do 2 days from full to dead. Automatic activity detection works well, it starts and stops accurately.Overall, it's easy to use, the 'rotating bezel' is really cool and the built in apps are handy to have.The notifications work well. Mine is paired with an S9 and cancelling my early morning alarm with my watch is great. Texts, emails and WhatsApp messages are all easy to read and quick replies means my phone can stay in my pocket.I did a lot of research before buying a smartwatch and decided to hang on for this version 2 once it had been announced.

Bought this watch to help motivate me to run and it has certainly done the trick.Battery life is really good and the accuracy of the GPS and heart rate monitor seem spot on.The native Samsung health app syncs really well between the watch and my phone but I also use the mapmyrun app for recording my workouts.I downloaded an app called 'Stay Alive' which means the watch will constantly stay on the most recent app which is perfect for running so I can see my stats as I go.The always on display didn't do the trick when running as the mapmyrun app would be swapped by the always on display default clock screen.Went for the 40mm and it fits really well.

I pre-ordered this watch and it arrived a day early, thanks Samsung! I previously owned a fitbit but decided to buy this because of its features and because its sleeker and better in every way and I was definitely not disappointed! The battery life is actually longer than stated and it can last longer depending on what you use it for and what notifications you want to receive. I bought the bluetooth aqua black 44mm version, I'm female and I've always liked watches with a big dial, looks great on my wrist. There's a wide range of watch faces to choose from and you can also customise these too (colour, if you want it to show your heart rate, steps, date, weather etc). Great piece of kit.

Be careful when buying this watch from amazon, my seller (ONLY BRANDED) was selling for £243 which is the same price as another seller who had bad reviews about not providing a UK version even though in item description it says its UK.The version i received was Romanian, which means i couldn't use Samsung pay.Good thing is that this is fixable, you can google search "How to change galaxy watch region" and theres plenty of guides although some are outdated and can be pretty confusing if you are not good with computers and modding.GET A REFUND IF YOU DONT HAVE UK VERSION, its not worth the hassle to switch regionThe watch itself is very good but the sellers are not

Bought this cracking little watch 2 weeks ago, used to have the Frontier before, then thought I would go down the Fitbit route, I bought the Ionic, good watch but not a patch on the Samsungs, I needed an allround watch not just fitness based. Then I decided to buy the Active 2 Watch, my go what a difference, brilliant little watch, does everything I want and more, comfortable, battery is fine, not a monster battery, needs charging as needed, same as anything the more you use it you expect to charge it, same as your phone. If your thinking about getting one, just bite the bullet, im glad ive come back to Samsung A1+++

I hadnt tried on the watch prior to pirchasing it so I was a bit unsire about the size - I went for the 44mm. It is perfect. Looks good, feels secure, the straps fit perfectly. Very easy to set up, Still trying to work out how to get Strava on it, but not going to score it down because of that. All in all I am extremely please with the watch. Cannot wait to get some rides, runs and swims in. And I have to say that it looks a lot better than my Mrs' apple watch !!! Also managed to get the deal for the Duo charger, so looking forward to getting that when it arrives in stock !

Previously had the Huawei watches until they failed and decided on the GWA2 after no new decent wear os watches.Overall very happy with the product even though less apps to install, but plenty of free watch faces can be had. the best part though is that there is no need to disable BT for the watch to use its built-in GPS unlike the Huawei watches.The exercise, steps, sleep and heart tracking is perfect and can be synced to Google Fit (Huawei watches can not sync to google fit).Overall highly recommend unless a better WearOS watch is released

About the sleep tracking I had a huawei watch gt 2 for 2 days and that one had a more detailed version of it.The design is absolutely superb, it is light and I barely feel it, I have the 44 mm version and other thing that I like about this watch is the customization which is top notch.The battery is ok, if you only check time and notifications I guess it lasts more than the the spescs say, but for intensive use it will last a little over one day. In other words I am very happy with this smartwatch which is indeed smart.

Brilliant watch by Samsung Electronics. It looks gorgeous and has great features. The 44 mm size is perfect for me.I managed to install an app to enable me to use Alexa on the watch. I also installed the SmartThings app which enables me to control all my smart devices (TP-link plugs & bulbs, Meross power strips & Lifx bulbs) from the watch. The battery is great for my needs as it lasts more than two days before recharging.There're numerous great watch faces to choose from.

I was going to buy a fitbit or similar and decided to plump for the Galaxy Watch active 2. And am very glad I did. It's neat, light, and works away happily with my moto g7 plus. It was a cinch to set up, I recharge it every couple of days while watching tv, so hardly an inconvenience(!). I haven't fully worked out everything on it yet but am very happy with it indeed. I regularly buy from Amazon but rarely write reviews but felt compelled in this instance! Buy one ;-)

I bought the 44mm version without LTE, because I heard that the battery of the LTE is draining very fast. I am very happy with my purchase except with the manuals. I swear Samsunng, it is like you don't care. For example I see on the sleep tracking that it shows you part of the night as awake. No this is either a BUG or just shows you that you have very, very light sleep, but for the life of me I cant find any detailed explanation. The manual is totally useless.
