Hi Fellow Amazonians :0),Wow!!! What a disappointment!!!!☹☹☹☹☹☹☹☹☹☹☹☹☹☹☹☹☹I received the tracker on 24 Apr 2020.Have now found that this device is not compatible with Google devices due to the Huawei Health app on the Play store being out of date.If you do download the app, it tells you to go to the Huawei app store to download the latest version of the health app, which you cannot do!!!!! :(Loads of google play reviews mentioning this very issue....which I wished I had read before this purchase. The reviews for the tracker are really good and its a superb price, but at this moment, useless is you have a non Huawei phone!!!.Gonna wait a few days to see if the app gets updated on the Play Store,if not, it gets returned ☹☹Sort it put Huawei/Google!!Hope this very recent review helps ?NEW REVIEW UPDATE AS OF 02/05/05:Hi All,I've finally got the watch working by myself!!!! ????????No help online or via Honor UK, who I personally contacted and spoke to a lady.....such a great help and customer experience...NOT!!!???So, finally got the watch working ??At the moment, the Huawei Google Play apps required to allow this tracker to work DO NOT WORK!You have to go to Huawei's App Gallery via an online browser and download the Huawei Health App and Huawei Core Services App....go through registration and login details and booooooooooom! You have a very nice working tracker. It's a very good device and excellent value for money. It's a great device. All features work and app very helpful.27.99 for the this blues strap version is excellent value for money. One feature I wish it had was wireless charging like my Samsung watch active. On this day and age l, this should be the norm.Definitely keeping it but one star knocked off for the set up issues. One further matter, I'd like to thanks all the Amazon team for all their commitment and hard work during this this horrendous and ongoing Covid chapter in all our lives.Mr Bezos, Please look after and reward your frontline teams generously for allowing the wheels to keep turning while having to deal with the daily risk to their own lives!!! ????????Hope this review update helps, and happy shopping.

To start - its been about 2 weeks I am using this device, and it is a great product for the price. The device itself has a good quality build and provides a very clear readable display. Compared to a Garmin Vivo HR I had before, this device ticks all the boxes for my use and at a much more affordable price point. There are a few things I would have liked to know before I brought this device though. So I am listing it here in case someone else has the same questions:1 - Product advertises it has various workout modes. I was expecting the device to be able to collect stats specific to that mode (Strokes per min, etc). But for indoor cycling, Rowing, and Free Training, the device only records your heart beat and provides an ability to buzz every 5,10,15 or 20 min. The different modes only helps you record the kind of activity done, nothing more. I am not complaining, but would have appreciated if the manual, reviews and other information out there had made this clear rather than claim the device has the ability to track 9 different types of workouts.2 - The integration with the device and the Huawei Health app is really wanting. The health app does not pick up information from your workouts and log it as your active minutes (even when the device shows it correctly).3 - The device has quite accurately been tracking my sleep & wake times. The analysis on the quality of sleep... I am not sure. When I wake up feeling fresh, the device claims I have not had enough deep sleep and may times vice versa. So I have not been able to pin the problem down yet.4 - The device can measure your SpO2. It is advertised as something you should monitor during your work out to make the most of it. However, the measurement is not continuous (like heart rate) and needs the user to take a reading every time they want it. It kind-of defeats the purpose of monitoring Sp02 during a work outAll in all, this is still an excellent device at this price point. The integration with Huawei Health app is something that the manufacturers should seriously look at.

As a watch it functions good....Steps - seems okSleep - more detailed stats than othersHeart rate - looks goodBlood Oxygen- mine has never worked, says Please try againApp - when I tired to link the watch to the app it was very difficult and just would not show up, just as I was about to give up it suddenly appeared. On the main app page, it shows steps so far (and history) heart rate - the last reading and highest and lowest so far each day. Sleep gives a good detail. Shows not only how many hours/minutes sleep you had but in what % was deep, light and REM. I never heard of REM (rapid eye movement) with other sleep monitors but apparently it says this is when you are dreaming. It also gives more important information like breathing quality (mine was 100% last reading) and total sleep quality (mine 79%). It breaks down the sleep stats to even more than this but I included the important ones, IF these figures are close to accurate this could be a much better sleep monitor than I have seen elsewhere. The instructions included are woeful.Update - having used it for longer the stats seem much more accurate than any other smart watch I have used. The steps appear to be accurate, more so than others I have tried. But the sleep tracker is amazing. The time I fall asleep is always about right and it has my wake up time spot on, NOT when I get up some 20 minutes later like other watches. Even more amazing though is it even knows when I have a nap during the day! No other sleep trackers have done this. It knows how many times you woke during the night. I found this watch difficult to link to the app and the blood oxygen still does not work.... but I would not swap it for ANY other smart watch!Update... finally got the blood oxygen working, you put a finger to the right of the watch, not on the watch.

The tracker is really good, really accurate. I tested it against the Samsung Galaxy FitE and it performed so much better, I ended up keeping this one.Steps are accurate, so is heart rate. There are lots of different exercise options, like indoor/outdoor cycling, indoor/outdoor running, swimming, rowing etc.During the workout itself it measures the time, heart rate and calories burnt and you can see at glance what your current heart rate is and which zone it corresponds with (zone 1-5, e.g. warm up zone, fat burn zone etc.).After the workout it tells you how much you've burnt, what was your max and average heart rate and how much time you spent in the individual zones.Very easy and logical to use. However, the mobile app is a bit of a nightmare. I have an android phone and had to download Huawei App Gallery from Huawei's website as it doesn't have Google support, then had to download the Huawei Health App, which unfortunately doesn't work without Huawei Mobile Services - that's 3 apps sitting on my phone just so I can use my tracker. It also doesn't connect to Myfitnesspal or Google Fit, I spent about 2 days trying to sort out, it's just not possible. Also while the tracker itself shows your total calories burnt for the day, the app doesn't. On the main screen under the steps it shows how many calories you burnt from your steps and then separately, within the exercise records, you can have a look how much you burnt through exercise and then you have to add them up yourself. Can't believe how logical the tracker is, but how illogical the app is! I was tempted to send it back because of this, but the tracker really is very good and for such a great price, I just have to live with this I guess, but it is a bummer.

Bought one after my Fitbit Charge 2 died. Its exceeded my expectations and for the price it's fantastic.Good points- Well built, I wear it 24/7 so it takes some abuse. The strap is comfortable and strong (my Fitbit strap would pop off if snagged on something), after a couple of months the screen is unmarked. It's been submerged plenty of times with no issues.- Battery life as advertised. I get around 6 days with most stuff turned on. Charges quickly and the cradle is secure.- Fitness tracking is adequate for me. I'd say daily step count is a bit higher than Fitbit. Heart rate monitor and O2 appear consistent as does the sleep tracker.- Navigation around the screens is pretty straightforward.- Notifications are reliable. You can scroll a message and read more of it than I expected. Also, you can customise in the app which notifications you want receive (from all apps on phone, Android).- Can be used as a remote to take photos or basic music controls, I didn't realise this before I bought it.- Silent alarm vibration works well and is strong enough to wake me.Downsides - very few. The alarm can only be set through the app and not on the band. In fact you can't view the alarm or that it's turned on from the band which is a leap of faith if you're using it as an alarm clock without wanting to wake the family. I'm sure this could be improved with a software update. As other users have stated there is no power button so if you turn it off you'll need the cradle to power it back on. You'll also need the app installed on your phone, I don't think that'll be an issue for most.IMO for under £30 it's a bargain, I'd never go back to Fitbit.

Heres a specific review on the main features:Heart rate monitor- Fairly accurate, but uses tons of battery if left to monitor 24/7, but you can change it to monitor based on your activity so it switches on an off, or you can turn it to manual mode.Sleep monitor- Very accurate, i was extremely suprised how something so cheap with no chest strap could monitor my sleep so accurately. It monitors your REM, Light, and Deep portion of your sleep, and shows when you awoke in the middle if you did, and gives a point based rating on different aspects of your sleep with improvement suggestions.Watch face- Bright, colourful, but small. Limited watch faces, some don't show all the information such as weather or date, and when you find one that contains the info you want it might be an ugly design, as i found.Notifications- Notifies instantly, no delay that ive found, it gets pushed from the Huawei app to the band. In order to pair to the band you need to switch your GPS on, but once it's paired you can turn GPS back off and it will remain connected. You must switch GPS on everytime you need to reconnect or it won't detect the band. Phone calls come up on time, and can be rejected, but not answered.Alarm function is good as it vibrates to alert you, and for waking you up it can be set to wake you up when your in a light sleep phase. This can be set to upto 30mins before your alarm is due to go off.Water resistance- had it in the shower, but i take luke warm showers, i dont think hot water is recommended, but it is fully waterproof to the specified depths.

For the price you can't grumble. Does everything as advertised.Getting the app on Android however was a painful experience. Firstly it will not install from the playstore. After some googling you have to download Hauwei's own app store from their website then install the health app from within that. To be honest it was straight forward, but the time spent trying to figure all this out was frustrating, and there's no mention of this requirement in the instructions or here on Amazon. It doesn't have a great Bluetooth range. If I leave my phone in one room, it will inevitably lose connection making the 'find phone' function useless.Battery life is great.I bought this mainly to monitor my sleep which I can't do with my expensive Samsung smart watch as it needs charged overnight.Another annoyance is the limited exercises. Walk, run, cycle, and that's your lot. There's no ability to add 'other' such as fitness class. Finally, if you have poor eyesight and struggle to read cooking instructions on food lables, like I do, you'll struggle to read notifications or even the date as the text is so small in many areas. To conclude, once you figure out how to get the app on your phone, for the price this is a great little monitor that's probably sending all your personal info to the Chinese government, hahaha!

I really like this watch, I bought two for myself and my other half. It's comfortable to wear and measures your steps, a range of activities, sleep and heart rate. The sleep monitor is accurate and quite effective. However I've only been using it for a couple of days. I will update after a few months. It feels good on the wrist and feels comfortable. The screen is a good size and the brightness is good even in the sun. I've actually banged the watch numerous times now and there's been no scratches so great display. The downside is the mobile app. Firstly its Huwaei...dum dum dummmm! I'm quite concerned about the product collecting information as there's been a lot of noise from government's aboutbackdoors and it being a Chinese state company. Moreover why do you have to download two apps to use this. The actual app to monitor your heart rate and sleep etc and the other is Huwaei mobile services which requires access to all your galleries, phone and calendar. Creepy!Overall though, wouldn't buy again for security reasons though I'm content using this product for a few months to tide me over until I buy a more reputable product from an organisation that doesn't have backdoors in its products.Overall, there are security concerns but the product is good for it's price.

This device does everything I need (combined with the app). It can track your pulse continuously, as well as your sleep (app analyses the different types of sleep and estimates your sleep and napping): seems to be relatively accurate for pulse compared to a chest band I have. Also, has an Sp02 capability (single test when you initiate it): results seem reasonable and I did wonder why you would pay hundreds more for an Apple product (or similar) to do these things. It tracks my workouts (seems to measure distances ok) and also counts steps reasonably accurately. Has the ability to show appointments in my phone calendar and also allows me to see short text messages (which it sends to the band from the phone).Has a useful phone finder capability as well. Also, you can get the app to show you variations in sleep etc. e.g. over a day, a week or a month. It also usefully reminds you to get up and exercise every hour (particularly useful for office workers). The only slight problem I have found is that when showing messages from my phone calendar it can tend to get a bit mixed up sometimes for repeat appointments, but no real problem. A single charge of the battery seems to last roughly 5 to 7 days (fine for me). Overall, thoroughly recommended.

I bought a Mii Fit Band 4 previously but wanted the SpO2 monitor that the Honor Band 5 has. The Honor is more comfortable on my wrist - partly because of the watch shape but also because the standard Honor wrist strap has more holes than the Mii Fit so it's easier to get the fitting correct. I also prefer the Honor for charging - you have to remove the Mii Fit from the strap to charge it whereas the Honor clicks into its little charging dock straight from your wrist. Both of them have an associated app (I'm using Android) but the Honor app seems to request far more permissions than the Mii app to provide what appears to be equivalent functionality. It also requires a second service app to be downloaded which I don't recall having to do with the Mii.One last point is that the sleep monitor is not very accurate, at least as far as awake time at night is concerned so I disabled that as it uses more battery an no longer wear it at night because of the number of times I accidentally caused the screen to come on. I never used the Mii Fit sleep monitor so can't compare the accuracy.

I got this to replace my Fitbit that went for a walk about. I have an Honor 10 and the Fitbit just didn't like my fone at all. Was really glitchy... Wouldn't download things. But I liked it because I could pop it in a little cover and wear it on my nursing uniform. But when it vanished I thought, I'll get a Huawei one just to eliminate the whole tech issue. I wish I had gotten this first. It's such a good little watch. Most of all as a shift worker it measures my sleep ...whenever. Which Fitbit just never did no matter how hard I tried so it was worthless to me as a function.I also got loads of cool faces which do the 24h clock which is what I wanted (my Fitbit didn't) and O2 Sats, (also not on Fitbit)find my fone (which I so desperately need as I am really scatty) and useful things like a timer. It is also just all round more user friendly than my Fitbit for a quarter of the price.I'm really happy with it. And best of all, my phone just loves it. So no more arguing with syncing it to Bluetooth for half hour. Definitely well worth it.

Best tracker I have bought, despite the initial set-up being not clear at all on Android. One needs to download both the Health app and Mobile Services from Huawei in Play Store, opens these individually to update them as they will not be latest versions, together with updating the firmware of the tracker if one wants to use the SpO2 function. They ask you for access to plenty of stuff too (i.e. contacts, photos..), a bit dodgy as others have stated but if you can get over the initial 'shock' everything works pretty well. Step count is very accurate, sleep tracking is pretty good although not perfect, and the heart rate monitor seem also pretty good. All syncs to the Health app, which is actually easy to use and informative. Unfortunately the SpO2 does not get synced as of June2020, despite having its own blank tab/graph in the app. Battery life with text notifications off and 24/7 heart rate monitoring I get around 5 days, and takes around 40mins to charge it back up. All in all very happy with my purchase.

The photo isn't fair to the product, its a much clearer screen which you can also change the display of. I have an Honor P20 phone which has Huawei Health installed already. The phone and device work very well together, giving calorie count, heart rate etc. from exercise and through the day. A charge lasts 4-5 days, but I only charge it for an hour and that puts it back up to 80% from 20%, so the battery works very well for me.I can understand people having reservations about Huawei and also not having the freedom to use as many apps as other devices, but personally I don't think the Chinese Government are particularly interested in how many steps I take or how much sleep I get,so I'm happy to use Huawei Health which it works well with. It's the first device I've used so I have no idea exactly how accurate it is, but as I'm just looking to be fit, I'm sure some inaccuracy isn't going to make much odds.In short, I think if you're happy with the company it's a good device for a great price.

I like the Honor band, its good value for money, the battery lasts a while (if you don't track sleep it will last longer), the step tracking seems quite accurate. The watch is easy to use, displays phone notifications, has a find my phone feature, you can change the watch faces and they're pretty much all free to download, tracks heartrate etc.The downsides:1. For some reason every Tuesday it doesn't sync with the app and I have to unpair and reconnect it. I don't know why this happens but I nearly returned it due to the steps not syncing. I also use the Samsung health app which is how I spotted it as the Huawei app normally has more steps counted due to the band.2. It doesn't sync to Myfitnesspal. The one time I did sync it, it added the amount of steps I'd done rather than the calories burned so it knocked my calculation out for that day.3. The app could have more features to compensate for it not syncing with calorie counters.

steps seem good, not perfectly accurate but good enough for what I need.Apps good and easy to use. Helpful instructions on the app when you connect the watch to it.Works perfectly with my Samsung S9 (I downloaded the app before buying to make sure it worked)Sleep tracker seems pretty good, although if I'm in bed awake watching TV it sometimes classes me as light sleeping. Definitely gives me an insight into how light of a sleeper I am.Waterproof but instructions say it can wear off and to keep it out of the bath. Didnt want to break it so kept it away from the bath and i don't go swimming anyway so doesn't affect me.Easy to read notifications, easy to set up alarms (you can't reply to texts from the watch but alway know when someone has messaged or is calling.Battery life is really good 4 days easily, using sleep tracker, alarms, notifications etc. I tend to put it on charge after 4 days and its at around 60%
