Bought for my 7 year old. He loves it. Having previously had another cheaper unknown brand, I think the extra that Fitbit charges are mostly worth it.Pros - great battery life, lasts a week between charges and charges fast. The display is intuitive and my son learnt how it works quickly. He particularly likes that we can change the picture. Sleep tracking seems accurate, and the hourly activity reminder is helpful. The phone app on the most part is good.Cons - the strap broke about 1 month in. It snapped off by one of the holes. The band going round it kept slipping off, so the strap kept getting caught in things. We bought a cheap unbranded replacement off Amazon and haven't had any issues with it since. The other con is the app interface. I'm not sure if it's Fitbit's fault or my phone's. As I have the Fitbit app on my phone for my own device, I was able to create a second profile for him as his parent. The issue is that only one device syncs at a time, so if I want to see his stats I have to manually sync with his Fitbit. It then no longer automatically syncs with my Fitbit and I usually have to turn Bluetooth off and on again, restart the app and sometimes restart my phone before I can get it syncing with my Versa again. As a result I rarely sync the Ace and he uses it more like a regular watch and straps tracker.

May daughter who is 8 wanted a Fitbit like my Charge 3, because of the steps and relax mode, silent alarms, etc. So she worked hard to earn the money to buy this kids model. Unfortunately we didn't see that all it really does is step count because it doesn't have a heart rate monitor. The screen features are a bit to figure out to navigate. The APP is a pain to switch between her stats and mine on my phone. I don't think most kids have smart phones, so being able to set the alarms from the watch itself would have been nice instead of having to log in the app to make any changes. The upside, it looks great - she loves it. She's been wearing it now for 4 months and the condition is still great. It really is water proof and very durable - its been on many serious adventures even into the sea. The battery charge lasts about a week and she really likes the main screen with the option if the little flower that grows through out the day as she gets more steps.Once she wears this one out, I think she'll start earning for the adult watches with the heart rate monitor and extra features - just buy a girly looking strap.

Daughter loves this watch. Got myself a charge 3 the week before so daughter really wanted one too and now she loves competing with me and making sure she reaches her target goals. Great encouragement to get moving because shes gotten a little lazy during lockdown! We love the colour. Daughter is 9 and has to wear the strap on the tightest setting although she does have quite skinny wrists. The strap is a lot more flexible and softer feeling than my adult watch.Children's version doesn't have as many functions as an adult watch but it does track steps, active minutes and sleep. I can sync both our watches to my phone. Easily switches to 'kid view" to view kids stats.Kids can also earn badges like on an adult account.Unlike mine, the watch arrived with not enough battery to update the software which was a little annoying to an impatient child and once charged still wouldn't update until I reset the watch with the button on the side but it was smooth sailing after that.

I have used a fitbit for the last 6 years...I've gone through a lot of them, usually while under warranty. My 7 year old has been wearing a really old digital watch that has been falling apart at the seams. She seems me always wearing my fitbit and I know she's been curious about it. She's seen commercials for other smart watches, but ones that have games and such which I am not interested in.I decided to get her this for Christmas when amazon was having a sale. We charged it and set it up as soon as she opened it. It was fairly easy to pair with my phone and my account because my kiddo doesn't have her own phone. She's been able to quickly figure it out and I love knowing her sleeping patterns and her daily steps. This doesn't feel as high quality as my fitbit, but that being said its a fraction of the price. The band itself feels really cheap so I think I'll go ahead and find something a little more high quality feeling.

Bought this purely for the sleep tracking and the reminder alarms.Has MASSIVELY helped our little one with her anxiety at school about going to the toilet by setting alarms and letting her teacher know what we’ve done. The little duck quacks on screen (vibrates doesn’t make a noise) and she knows it’s time to go :)It’s helping us track her sleep versus her focus, concentration and general happinessShe loves competing with mummy and daddy on her steps (always wins of course) but that’s just a bi-product for us as it’s not what we wanted it for. It’s not a smart watch so she’s allowed it at school and she likes changing the cartoon face each week :)Great quality, wears it all the time including in the bath and for swimming,it’s a great colour and is very durable. Plenty of growing room on the strap, easy to set up and only needs charging once a week. Just Top Notch!!

I’m a little surprised by the negative reviews - we’ve only had 1 minor issue where the Ace 2 was getting notifications when I received a text or call. It was easily fixed by removing the Ace 2 from the Bluetooth device list, logging out the app, logging back into the app and adding the Ace 2 back to the Bluetooth device list.In regards to the battery life, it’s like most devices where the more you use it (i.e. touching the screen, using the other functions, etc), the sooner it needs to be recharged. Ours lasts several days without needing to be charged - it might last a week, but we don’t let the battery get super low.My kid has been wearing it for a month and we haven’t had any issues with the strap (other than the free end slipping out of the rectangular piece)or the device popping out of the band even with a lot of activity.Love that it’s waterproof!

I bought two of these, one for each of my daughters, to be sure they are getting some movement during virtual schooling. They were easy to set up with the FitBit mobile app, and the rubber band/case is durable. The growing plant animation on the screen "gamifies" getting steps in a way that encourages my girls to move! Battery life is good - I am only charging these every 4-6 days at most.My only complaint is that the included charging cord is about 6" long, making it inconvenient if you don't have a USB outlet located at counter or table level. Also, because the charger attaches magnetically, the watch can easily fall out of place and not actually charge. I ended up buying a couple of 3'charging cords [ [ASIN: B07PV9W7J2 3.3ft/100cm Replacement USB Charging Charger Cable for Ace 2 ] ], which frankly should have been included in the box.

I purchased the Fitbit Ace 2 for my rising kindergartner on a whim. She commented one day about not knowing her steps (mom, dad, and big brother all have fitness trackers). She needed a new watch anyhow and the sale price was enough to push me to make the purchase. I'm so glad I did! Not only is it helping keep her active during our time still at home, but it's also very helpful for remote learning! I'm working full time from home and trying to keep up with school schedules for 2 kids. I've used the app to set alarms on her watch 10 minutes before she has a live class. On the second day of school, she got up as soon as it buzzed and headed to her Chromebook to log in.I appreciate having this extra help during a busy time as we all adjust to our new schedules and she loves the independence it gives her to manage her own day.

Bought this for my daughters 9th birthday. Really easy to set up and get started. She loves tracking her steps and activity!Downsides: 1)She's not allowed to wear it for her swimming lesson for health and safety reasons so she was disappointed with this. 2) She has to take it off for PE in school for health and safety reasons so yet another minus point. 3) Three or four times now she's woken me up in the night at 3/4/5am crying and panicking that she's had 'no sleep' because she's briefly woken in the night and checked her watch and it tells her how much sleep she's had.. so the watch will now be taken off in the night and just used in the day. It's a good product in general to get kids moving more, and wanting to move more- but I wish I'd have thought about the minus points before buying it.

I was very excited to find a Fitbit for my daughter that is purple, it's her favorite color and she won't wear anything else. I like that it shows her the time, too, so she does not need a watch in addition to the Fitbit. Her daily goal is set to 10,000 steps and it's really encouraged her to move more. She's dancing around the house all day in an attempt to get her steps in and will have her sister chase her around the yard to up her steps. It's great! The only thing I'm not so sure about is the sleep tracking. My daughter is an extremely well sleeper but the Fitbit has been showing her waking up a ton at night, which surprises me, but it's really hard to tell for me whether or not she actually does wake up or maybe move around a lot in her sleep.Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.

My seven-year-old daughter absolutely loves us. Even though it is waterproof, consider having your child remove it before going swimming or playing at the beach. The black Fitbit chip in the middle falls out Of the wristband too easily and my daughter lost hers after having it only one month while swimming in a lake. We bought her another one, and wish that the chip was permanently attached to the wristband, because the chip can be charged even while in the wristband. There is really no purpose in having it be removable. I wish they would change that about the design, otherwise I fear she will lose the chip again while at camp/beach/school and not even realize it since the wristband stays on.The product is useless without the chip and they will not replace it.

We bought this product as my daughter (7) was nagging me for one since I got myself the versa. Its great at tracking steps and keeps her motivated throughout the day by vibrating when she isn't moving (can turn off this feature). She also downloaded a face for the watch which turns in to a fully blossomed flower when she's reaches her steps.Appearance wise it's cute. Like an off red tiny bit of pink. Unfortunately for the this they don't have many options which is a shame although I'm pretty sure the straps can be changed. She loves wearing it in the bath, so it definitely passes the waterproof check!Next will be to take it swimming. It really helped us during lockdown and I think it's more durable than the adult one.All in all we love it!

Our son wanted a Fitbit for Christmas so that is what he got. He is 8 years old and loves it. He's constantly tracking his steps and trying to beat his goal of 10,000 steps every day. We had some issues trying to setup the app on his Kindle so my wife set it up on her iPhone. Other than that the Fitbit has worked great. It holds a charge for most of the week and then we charge it overnight. It shows date, time, steps and can track active time and sleep habits. It's also waterproof. Our son loves the celebratory messages and badges he receives for meeting and exceeding his step goals. This keeps him motivated to stay moving.I would recommend this for any kid or any parent who wants to keep theirkids motivated.

We have 7 yo twin grandchildren and gave each a Fitbit Ace 2 fitness tracker during their visit over Thanksgiving as an early Christmas present. Set up was easy (I recommend watching one of the YouTube videos ahead of time) and it did take a little extra time to update the firmware and get each child setup on their mom's iPhone App. We knew they loved them when we discovered during breakfast they had gotten up at 4 AM and started walking around-and-around the hall, dining and living rooms to get a head start on their daily step count! Grandparents, parents and even the dog had no idea they were "truckin" around the house. That episode goes a long way in saying "we love you Poppy and G".

I was initially a little put off by the price as £60 for kids watch is obnoxious but... we bought a cheap version and the strap was too loose so decided to splurge on this one. My 8 yrs old daughter loves it. She moved being able to change clock faces on the app. It’s simple and I didn’t want it to have too many features. It could be improved by the coloured screen though that many cheaper versions seem to have. She’s had it for 7 months now, the battery last for days and it is a very comfortable silicone strap that feels like you’re not wearing it (I have tried it on). Overall, a great gadget for the younger kids. I will get one for xmas for my younger child too.
