After a lot of research (and a broken screen on my Charge 2) I decided to upgrade to the FitBit Versa. I spent a lot of time deciding whether to buy the Versa or the Apple Watch, and in the end proceeded with the Versa as I needed a good battery life and wanted the continued ability to monitor my sleep without sacrificing time to charge the battery during the day (problems highlighted by Apple Watch users).Four weeks into life with the Versa, and these are my main thoughts about it:Positives:- I really like the look of it, and I'm particularly pleased with the pink/purple version, which looks pretty sleek.- It is easy to use, and the menu buttons are easy to follow.I particularly like the swipe up feature from the main screen, which shows you your stats at a glance instead of having to check your phone. The Relax feature is great too, especially when you need a couple of minutes of focused calm on a busy day no matter where you are.- There are hundreds of design choices for the main clock screen, which is great as it means you can choose a design that is useful for you - for example, I have one which shows the date, time, my heart rate, steps and calories burned, but there are designs with more and less information.- It is waterproof, which means for me it is more useful than the Charge 2.- When recording exercise, it seems to be as good as my Charge 2 was. I particularly love the fact that it can detect the type of exercise I am doing (as with the Charge 2), instead of having to tell it before I start.Negatives:- The battery lasts about 2 days, and so behind the Charge 2 which would go for 4 days (there is more power being used with the colour screen and additional functionality though so understandable really...)- I'm not sure it is quite as sensitive as the Charge 2 in recording sleep, as there have been a couple of occasions where it has added an hour because I've not been particularly active when waking up. That said, it's still pretty accurate and does what I need it to do!- The main issue I have (which seems to be a common problem and one that FitBit really need to address) is that if the app and watch are not synced everyday, then any sync that takes place after this won't actually update the app details - i.e. my watch will say I've done 5,000 steps, but the app will still be reading 0 steps. This then means I have to restart both the FitBit app and the Versa, and reinstate the Versa with my phone's Bluetooth, in order for the sync to update everything properly. It is currently driving me insane - I never had this with the Charge 2, and whilst the FitBit support team have offered me advice, they haven't given me a permanent solution for this yet.Overall: It is a great watch which I would definitely recommend if you know you'll sync it everyday. If not, I'd suggest sticking with the ever-reliable (but slightly less snazzy) Charge 2 until they fix the sync issue.

Well, after somewhat mixed reviews, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Short and curly: I love it!The Versa is a remarkably flexible smartwatch. There are some great watch faces out there that display all the key info (I'm a stats-heavy user myself), but the two right-hand side buttons can be used as shortcuts to instantly launch your favourite apps: I use one for the weather, the other for a rather useful flashlight app (not as powerful as a mobile phone, but perfectly good enough to find your way around in the pitch dark). The alarms work very well: the vibration is more than enough to wake me up, and you can set lots of them if you want to.I use them for everything from waking up in the morning to reminding me if there's something in the oven I need to switch off. The heart-rate monitor is, on the whole, good – I have noticed that some watch faces appear to impede the correct display, whereas others don't. But on the whole, I'm very happy with it – it's certainly surprisingly accurate during workouts. The one slightly irritating bug there is that just occasionally, the watch will slip out of workout mode; I'm still not sure why it does that. But the workout stats are useful: average and max heart rate, plus length of workout and estimated calories burned. I've not used the workout apps for anything more demanding than weight training so far. There are some nice apps: music and a nifty little calculator are two I've recently learned to appreciate. And finally, the battery life – one of the main reasons I'm not very interested in Apple watches – is really pretty good; I'm averaging 4-5 days, and I'm a fairly heavy user (in the sense that I receive message and mail notifications on the watch, and I get a fair number of both). No, really a very nice piece of machinery – I recommend. Just one other thing I also recommend: get yourself a good protective layer for the watch face. I'm very, very glad I did, because it's quite exposed and I've already peeled off a couple of fairly well scratched screen protectors. Fortunately they've kept the watch face nice and pristine. And there are some great straps out there! Finally I can indulge my love of the milanese strap – I've bought two, plus a Nike-style strap, all very modestly priced.

Bought the versa charcoal special edition to upgrade from my charge 2 which was still working well but the battery was starting to drain quickly. A few friends had upgraded to the versa from the charge 2 and highly recommended it, so this was my main reason for choosing the versa. I was temporarily looking at getting a garmin (for running) but then most my friends have fitbits and we keep each other motivated on the app side of things so I found it hard to move away from the fitbit brand. I am also familiar with the app which for me as I get older, I prefer the familiarity and simplicity. This watch is a fab upgrade. Was tossing up between the versa and Ionic too and I am glad I chose the versa. The ionic has GPS but I always have my phone with me anyway when i go running so I didn't see the point of going for the bulkier more masculine looking watch just for this feature. The versa is a colour touch screen. You can select different watch faces and a few different apps to put on the versa (via your phone - I have an iPhone XR and it connected seamlessly to the Versa) I was able to transfer a playlist from iTunes onto the versa but not sure how often I am going to use this feature seeing as I carry my phone around and connect my bluetooth headphones to my phone anyway but its a nice option to have if you go out for a phone free walk (which to be honest for safety reasons will not happen often!) Not too bothered about things like fitbit pay - my bank isn't supported anyway. I wasn't looking for a smart watch like the apple watch as it's too much on a small screen. I wanted a watch mainly for fitness and summarised information and that is what I got. The watch is light that you forget you have it on sometimes. The Charge 2 was quite bulky in comparison and it did tend to rest awkwardly on my wrist (I have small wrists) but with the versa I do not have this problem and it is comfy to wear. I also highly recommend that at the same time you buy the versa you also purchase the fitbit versa cases. I bought a clear one and used it straight away and it has saved my watch from scratches already!

I was very sceptical about the bad reviews however I bought for myself and great product overall! However please read this real review before purchasing... beware iPhone and windows users there is a few things you can’t do. You can’t respond to notifications or see photos that come through to you, you also can’t use certain apps to their fullest but android users can. Also beware if you have no WiFi at home you can’t use deezer (the music player). Also deezer is free for only 3 month trial before you have to pay. However you can still upload your own music but with limited space. Also beware in general if you don’t have a Santander account or some weird Dutch accounts I think were on there youcan’t use the fitpay wallet at all!!!!You can however upload your bitmoji to phone screen which is cool as the image changes depending on what your doing,You can reorganise your icons on both the menu apps and the stats list by your preference using the watch itself. Also If your going to buy this product purchase also a GLASS screen protector for maximum protection as as the watch screen is so thick you could end up banging it against a wall or door accidentically when going through it.Be aware that A lot of the apps recommended by Fitbit have required in app purchases so don’t think this purchase will be your last monetary investment if you wanna get the fullest out of it.Steps is inaccurate. I did 100 just waving my hand and 400 just jogging on the spot for 5 mins.Heartbeat, sleep and relax app was amazingly accurate though! And for women the feminine feature for cycles is awesome too! You can also set goals for calories and it will keep a track when you enter in your meals how many calories you have left to go!Also the fitness coach is amazing too! Great workouts it takes you through if you don’t know what set you feel like doing! If your okay with all that it’s a nifty gadget. Very sleek, very beautiful and I love the charcoal strap that comes with the SE version. You get what you would for £140 approx. So I give it 4/5.

I had a Charge HR2 and fancied upgrading to a smart watch style Fitbit, but I needed it to be waterproof. The Versa looked like a good deal especially as it had a little money off when I purchased.I ordered the Special Edition, this came in a nice box with a special edition charcoal strap, as well as a charger, a rubber strap in black and all the documentation. Currently Fitbit Pay doesn't work well in the UK, only about 3 random banks are supported, this might change but who knows...very annoying as it's part of the reason I purchased this. The Versa has a battery life of about 4-5days with everything turned off like the always-on connected features, messaging, music etc.I have the notifications turned on but nothing else and I get about 4 days max.If you are used to the better battery life in other watches you might be disappointed. The variety of watch faces available for free is pretty good, and they are rather nice, with new ones appearing all the time, but alot have to be paid for and some don't work well or suck your battery dry.The features on the watch are very good, a little step up from the Charge HR2, it looks nice on a female wrist too and there are a good selection of straps available if you want something a bit more snazzy. It is waterproof although I haven't put that to the test yet, it doesn't have GPS but uses the GPS in your phone.Overall I like it, it is slightly disappointing as a smart watch, but the fitness aspect works well. I have found the sleep recording to be less accurate or reliable than my Charge HR2 was as well, but overall I am enjoying my time with it. If you are a serious fitness geek however you might want something a bit more specialised...

Really like this Fitbit it’s light to wear, and sleep in. I like the two different straps I’m using the black as I’m using it to track my swim and is easier to dry than the fabric strap. I swam 44 lengths first time I used it and it tracked them all and time and calories burned . I like the sleep tracker too it also tells you where your supposed to be with your different types of sleep deep, light, Rem sleep for your age. I can track how many callories I put in my body by inputting the foods I eat during the day and it tells me how many I’ve used too . It knows what kind of workout I’m doing cardio or swim without me inputting it, a very clever piece of kit!Would buy again much improved from my last Fitbit their are lots of other features I haven’t used them all ....yet! I’ve only had it 3 days. Only fall down doesn’t always light up when I go to look at it your supposed to just turn your wrist towards you and it lights up but doesn’t always work it’s not the end of the world though if that’s the only downfall.

I bought this versa in August 2019 . We bed to our new home in September 2019 . I reckoned that I have lost the versa at the end of September. Couldn’t find it . 2 days ago , I was working in our garden . I notice something under a tree . I rigged a bit and I found out it was my versa. The strap has been chewed ( very badly) covered with full of mud . I believe my 1 year old puppy grabbed it and buried it. I washed and dried it . Without any expectation, I put it on charge . It started charging ????. 30-40 mins later . My versa is up and running . It was exposed to rain, snow, soil, and Very possibly to dog pee for at least 5 months. Thanks to Fitbit to produce such a product and thanks to amazon for selling me .On different note , my wife charge 3 has been playing up . Couldn’t hold the charge . I wrote amazon and they sent me postage label for sending it to repair . No hassle at all . Thanks AMAZON .

Upgraded from HR Charge and what a difference, loads more features - a colour screen, animated images, notifications from your apps that you can turn on & off. More apps to add like a torch for your watch!! Still haven’t worked out how to put music on it, but will get around to it but think it’s only certain apps it works with. It’s swimproof too which was a big bonus for me, but haven’t summoned the courage to take it in the shower yet either, but am sure it’ll be fine, I usually charge my watch in that time and I must say the battery is great! I sold the Apple Watch I had briefly as the battery life was terrible but fit it’s only need such a small time to power up!Plus I missed the leader board on the amount of steps, there’s no equivalent on Apple watches. In summary I’d definitely recommend this watch!Read full review...

Absolute love it. Took a while to set it up. Only snag is that the spare straps that come with it ( the black one ) doesn’t seem to fit as I was hoping to wear the black for work and keep the lavender one for going out. Apart from that it’s does what it says???Update, after getting in touch about straps, they replaced them. Got used to wearing Fitbit 24/7 and still great, I love the fact that you can keep track on all steps and heart rate, would definitely recommend .Update on fit bit. Still going strong I where it all the time.Since I got the Fitbit I have managed to lose a stone in weight, with tracking my process each day. My partner has a fit bit but he is thinking of upgrading to this one.I had a Fitbit before this but this is 100% the best.

Overall I'm happy with the Fitbit Versa. The battery life is great, lasts 4-5 days at least. However I find that the heart rate tracking is inaccurate. If I'm doing cardio for example it will usually say my heart rate is 120 until I stop moving and hold it still and rhen it will suddenly shoot up to 170-180 until I start moving again. I also think that the sleep tracking is inaccurate as sometime I will have woken up and checked the time and it does not appear on the tra ker, so this could be happening the other way around as well. It's a good fitness tracker for steps, approximate calories and the type of workout but I think that for the amount of money it costs it should work better

I wanted to upgrade my older style Fitbit and really liked the look/design of the versa it looks great on the features available are ok but nothing my older style one didn’t do really as you need a PC to transfer music which I don’t have or access to one.I like the digital display and clock faces think some are paid but I didn’t really explore that option as I won’t be paying for any.Apps are ok and can get notifications from messenger/Facebook can’t get WhatsApp tho straps are ok to change when you get the hang of itBattery life seems ok so far does track your sleep but I tend not to wear mine overnight .Im happy with my purchase overall but there’s no “wow factor”.

I've had this watch for just over 2 months now and the only problem I've ever had with it so far is sometimes a notification refuses to be cleared. A simple restart solves this and so far it's only happened twice. And if this is the only criticism, then it was certainly worth the money. I've been recommending it to everyone who are saying they'd rather take one over phone branded watches. The functions are easy to use, you can personalise it, the app is simple and informative and I love the interactivity with other Fitbit users. I've seen the negative reviews and they may well have had a bad experience but mine is worth far more than the maximum 5 available.

This was my first foray into the FitBit fraternity.... I have been very impressed. Given that I was an AppleWatch user for the past 3 years, I had very high expectations. This has met them all - it does Music great, it does messages great and the health tracker is miles above Apple Watch! I've seen reviews online talking about battery life, I have no idea what they're talking about, I've been wearing it for 3 days now and still have 57% battery and I've done 20,000 steps per day for the 1st 2 days, with a mere 15,000 on the 3rd - so it's certainly being used!

8.5.2019

Ignore the other comments of a flimsy product t this is an amazing watch, it's stylish light (I have the ionic too) against the Ionic and is very very comfortable. I know it's much lighter I weighed them! I have a screen protector in mine and it keeps the screen clean and scratch free. The screen is bright and has great colour representation, the vibration is great and I never miss an alarm! I haven't worries it in the shower or swimming so I can't comment on it. Fantastic best one Fitbit has ever made for me!

7.11.2018

I was struggling to decide whether I should get this or the Apple Watch, but then when I reserved this it had just the same features! It is amazing! It has a very swift syncing process, the steps are measured accurately, the screen is very hard to scratch! The screen is water resistant (very useful if you’re clumsy like I am) very comfortable fit and leaves no mark, I love the aluminium Colour, it’s amazing and some people when I walk around ask me if it’s an “Apple Watch” Which makes me Giggle!
