Hi thanks for reading my review on the honour view 10 handset, I hope you find it usefulThe honour view 10 is an absolutely great phone for the price it is retailing at here in the UK. The starting price of 380 pounds from amazon direct is a bargain when you consider what you get for your moneyA modern full screen design... 5.9" high quality HD lcd screen... 128gb on board storage.. 6gb ram.... Metal body design which hires fingerprints well.... A headphone jack... The kirin 970 ai powered cpu which competes with the best snapdragon chipset.... One of the best fingerprint scanners you can get on a phone.... Dual camera sensors with 16mp colour and 20mp monochrome etc etcWhen you think that you will pay 600 pounds for a s8....500 pounds for an s7.... 1000 pounds for an iPhone x.... 700 pounds for a pixel handset and then consider that this costs 380 pounds you have to praise honour for such competitivenessThe phone came in a lovely blue box and was presented very well, there is nothing that would make you think this was a cheaper phone other than not carrying a Samsung or iPhone badge. You get the phone, basic headphones, sim tool, manufacturer information etc etc.I love the way the phone comes with a screen protector fitted from the factory, I hate fitting screen protection to a brand new phone, I want to take it out of the box and enjoy it, not worry about applying screen protectors perfectly and the headache that goes with it so kudos to Huawei and honour for thisThe phone comes with oreo out of the box which is great and it runs an android skin called emui over the top of the android. I personally like the skin, it offers some extra functionality over stock android. If you do prefer the look of stock android the phone supports themes and you can also download a launcher like nova launcher or even the stock pixel launcherBuild quality seems fine and although fashion is for all glass designs, I actually really like the metal back design of this phone, it helps with fingerprints, it feels good in the hand and the blue color looks great. You obviously won't get wireless charging but that's not a concern for meThe battery is 3750mah which is a great size, in comparison the s8+ only has 3650mah and the s8 only a 3000mah battery. It supports super charging and will take around 2 hours to Complete. The charging slows down from 90%-100% to protect the battery. Quick top up charges are fast as long as you use the supplied fast chargerBattery life is great on this handset, emui 8 supports some great battery saving features as well as android oreo being better on battery than previous versions, you really should have no trouble making it through the day and into the next day unless you do some serious gaming or gammer Google maps for a massive road tripThe audio is a pretty standard affair and nothing amazing however the phone does include a headphone jack which is always a good thing in my opinion. The speaker is loud and clear which is great for calls and videos however it does not have much depth. The earpiece works well and I never had trouble with anyone in calls which is obviously great. The headphone jack could be better it's no HTC or LG v30 with their super high quality dacs but it's adequate and does the job, pair it with a decent set of headphones and tweak power amp settings and it does a decent job and hey once again at least it has a headphone jack lolThe screen is a very high quality HD lcd unit and to be fair this is fine with me, I do prefer amoled screens for their deep blacks and outdoor visibility but lcd units are pretty solid and don't suffer from things like burn in etc. I personally think 4k is a bit of a waste to phone battery so I am quite happy to see manufacturers stick to lower resolution for better value and better battery life, its worth noting that you can set the screen to lower resolution depending on battery life which is a very handy featureThe fingerprint scanner makes the phone feel alive, it's one of the fastest ive used and just the slightest touch will bring your device alive. I also love the way that it can be used to control the device, a long press takes you home, a quick press takes you back, a left swipe brings up the recent application list, very clever indeed and after one day's use it seems like every home button should do thisThe camera could be better, I guess at 380 pounds some cut backs had to be made. The camera is not leicia branded and it does not have ois to help stabilise the camera for night time shots. What it does have though is the same high quality 20mp monochrome sensor and 16mp colour rgb sensor from higher price phones like the mate 10 Pro. I use the camera in monochrome mode mostly and I really enjoy shooting with the true monochrome sensor rather than shooting in colour and processing into black and white later on. The monochrome sensor captures light and detail really well and after a little tweak in snapseed I am very happy with the files. The camera has so many options and features it really would take a whole review to cover it all, however the camera is very capable and clever it might not be the best camera but its very adequate and even great night shots are possible it just means without ois you need to stabilise the camera yourselfPhone performance is top notch, the kirin 970 cpu is ai assisted and very fast, it is easily comparable to the snapdragon 835 cpu in other flagships, emui 8 is also very stable and slick the phone runs with plenty of available ram and multi tasking is an absolute breeze with this phone. High end gaming is fine and looks great on that massive screen, the ui also has a handy feature that let's you fit anything to the screen despite the aspect ratio... No more black bars is a beautiful thing and a much more immersive experienceI previously owned a Samsung s8 and a Huawei p10, when I heard about this phone I had to check it out, I am now selling my p10 handset and keeping this, you just get so much for your money its unbelievableI don't like the way the phone market is going, phone prices are ridiculous these days so I decided to support the brands that are offering more bang for your buck. This phone might not carry a Samsung badge or an apple logo but it does carry a badge that is offering consumers a lot if technology for their money with a solid warranty to back it up.The only negatives I can honestly moan about are.... Lack of waterproofing... No ois in the main camera.... No amoled... No dac for headphonesHowever can you really ask for a 380 pound device to pack a quad dacs, a high end amoled screen, waterproof build quality etc etc and when you think about what you do get for your money it really does make it hard to complainI hope you have found this review helpful if you did please don't forget to click the button, if you have any questions please fire away

I'm the sort of person that likes to get the most value out of a phone. I'd had my Samsung Galaxy S5, that was falling to bits but still going, for some 3.5 years before I replaced it with this phone. I was half tempted in to upgrading to an S8/S9, but even the previous gen still seemed somewhat pricier than I would like. Then, on Black Friday, I loaded up Amazon and saw the Honor View 10 in the deals. I then saw the £280 price tag, browsed through some other reviews, and decided it was worth taking a punt on. My thinking was that it was even a mild improvement on my old phone then I'd be pretty happy.I wasn't prepared for just how good it is.Straight out of the box, the build quality felt decent, and good in the hand. The screen, whist not boasting Gorilla glass, seems fine enough, and hasn't had any noticeable problems in the first couple of weeks I've been using it. Obviously I can't vouch for long term use. But how many reviews are carried out 2 years in to a products' life?Setup was nice and easy (mainly thanks to Android). My apps from my old phone were installed on to the new phone and, as I use Nova Launcher, it felt like using my S5 pretty quickly, after restoring Nova's settings. In use, the UI is quick and responsive, with no noticeable lag. Apps load up extremely quickly. It feels like a premium phone. It supports fast charging, so it can be up to a full charge, from dead, in about 90 minutes.Let's get on to the major pluses about this product.128GB storage space. 8X times what I had in my S5, and twice as much as S9. For today's types of usage, that's plenty, and negates the need for an extra SD card (but this phone will still let you add one, should you want more).6GB RAM. Three times as much as my S5, and an extra 2GB more than the S9. In short, more RAM means a smoother experience.8 Core ARM Kortex CPU. The horsepower of the phone, and plenty for day to day.Battery life. Very good. On my first charge I got some 48 hours usage out of it (I'm not a heavy video watcher... I prefer to listen to music). When it's idling it barely uses up the battery at all. You can't replace the battery yourself easily, like you could with older phones, but that seems to be the way the entire industry has gone now. So I can't hold it against the HV10. Long term, may be another story, as batteries always degrade over time.Active Dual SIM. This was a nice surprise. You can pop a second SIM card in the phone and use both at the same time for calls and data. Very useful if you go abroad and buy a SIM for you holidays, or you don't want to also carry a phone for work. The second SIM slot also takes up the room used by the SD card, so you can't have dual SIM and extra storage space at the same time, but that's hardly a big issue, with the 128GB space it already comes with.A headphone jack! I can use my own headphones! Not the awful cheap rubbish they normally provide with phones.Sound quality is fine. I did notice it seemed a little muddy, with the default player, but once I fired up PowerAmp it seemed as clear as my S5 did, which was a very competent player. The built in speaker isn't much to write home about, but it does the job. If I want to watch anything properly I'll use headphones anyway, so not a deal breaker for me.Fingerprint scanner. Works very well. I've tried my main prints from various angles and it picks it up most of the time.Camera is decent, with not much noise on the background details. I'm not much of a picture expert but I did some comparison shots between my S5 and HV10 and the latter was noticeably cleaner, and far more detail on background items. Whilst it may not be up to the standard of top-end phones, like the S9, it's good enough for me.The bad.I don't have much bad things to say about this phone. The negative thing is that it doesn't have water resistance. I don't know quite what that translates to, in real world terms, and I'm not about to start flicking water at it, in order to find out. But I guess no more ideal browsing when in the bath. I would hope it can handle a few raindrops on the screen at least.I guess the 2 camera lenses, popping out from the back, also are a bit strange. I ordered a protective case, at the same time, which makes them look a lot flusher, so I don't notice them now. But they do look like goggles. Again, not a huge negative, really.Summary:Okay, so it's not quite as high end, or shiny, as the the latest and greatest from the top dogs. But is the difference really worth stumping 2 or 3 times the price? It's not, in my view. If you're in need of a great value upgrade, that doesn't break the bank, and is actually quite a capable phone, give this a go. I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

This is interesting, I purchased a Honor Play for my sister and loved it, it felt extremely responsive and everything ticked along nicely. This gave me confidence to take the plunge and swap from my OnePlus 6 for the top of the range Honor 10.The handset is slightly smaller but much lighter in the hand than my OnePlus 6 and therefore has a more comfortable weight about it. The overall feel of the phone is fingerprint magnet, the Honor Play is metal, lovely and very classy. The Honor 10 is glass front and back and while lovely to look at needs to be slipped into the clear case before the look is ruined. What made me pickup the Honor 10 was the camera experience of the Honor Play, all the pictures looked great because the phone uses an AI calculation to work out what you're trying to take a picture of and does some techno wizardry. This works on pretty much every picture when in the AI setting is enabled (default camera setting), is worth noting that these pictures come out with detail, effects and colours tweaked. Attached are two pictures taken out of the window, one from a OnePlus 6 has more natural muted colours and the other the Honor 10 seems to have bright contrasts. Because of this I believe the Honor 10 camera is for the Instagram and social crowd because of these enhancements.I can't stress how much I enjoy the size of the device, it makes swiping, texting and general typing far easier and quicker. I'm not overly keen on the SwiftKey keyboard, but I've installed the native Google keyboard which seems fair more predictable and better spacing.Battery life seems to be similar to the OnePlus 6 and other flag ship phones and certainly gets through a day of use, the Honor Play lasts far longer though, but I think the trade off is good, a lighter handset and smaller battery is a win win.The display is bright, vivid even (this can be changed in the settings) and it's worth doing. The colours in vivid are just too unnatural and with the AI mode active means pictures are harder to guage colour wise. The screen does have a notch, it's not large like the iPhone X, XS or XR and is far more subtle in its implementation giving you far more space at the top of the screen. As icons are smaller you get far more in the notch space compared to the OnePlus 6 which is extremely handy for tracking.I have noticed that sometimes the screen doesn't feel as responsive, it's hard to explain but it feels like I'm having to do more frequent tapping. I never noticed this problem on the Honor Play, which is suppose to be near identical but with different camera and display sizes. One other big difference between the Honor Play and the Honor 10 is that the Honor Play supports Glove mode it changes the screen by working on pressure input so you can leave your hands safely covered in the cold weather... This is completely missing on the Honor 10 which is disappointing especially as the Honor 10 is suppose to be the flagship for the Honor brand. Some other things to note, the phone has facial unlock, fingerprint and 6 digit PIN for unlocking, facial unlock seems to work well in most lighting conditions, the fingerprint reader is also extremely fast and seems to work well even with wet hands.Getting use to the Honor is simple for those switching from an Apple devices, EMU uses a very similar structure which can be changed in the settings to a more native Android feeling but it still doesn't feel right. Going the native route does seem to have a performance benefit. It does take some adjustment if you're new to the Huawei or Honor brands. They also have an easy layout for a more simplified interface which is actually impressive for more elderly users it's disappointing that this is hidden in the settings but really helps without those who need it.Right, now onto the issues...I don't think this is phone related but more the EMU interface which Huawei/Honor install... Lots of software is preinstalled, some can be deleted, but most is not even worth using, it's disappointing as it feels like the software is a mixed bag; Microsoft Translate... When you can just install Google translate. It continues with music, calendar, mail, clock etc...Overall it's an impressive device, is it as good as the OnePlus 6 maybe but it's the current price, design and image quality which is something to challenge other competitive devices. This is what is remarkable.Overall the negatives can be lived with and I don't think they detract from the overall package of the phone.

I have spent the best part of a week searching for a mid range phone, whether it be reading reviews on here or Google, watching reviews on YouTube or simply getting recommendations from friends. In the end it came down to this or the Poco F1 and (spoiler alert), I chose the Honor View 10. I am so pleased I did.Let's get started with the set up. It was as easy and simple as you like. This concludes the review of the set up.There are a number of pre installed apps as you come to expect these days, but a large number of them can actually be uninstaled immediately which is great for people who want to maximise the already substantial amount of space on the phone.Performance wise, the phone is extremely quick and fluid. Whether you are browsing Facebook, watching a video or playing a game, you will have little to no problems at all.I love the lack of a noch (they always bug me). That, combined with the size of the screen means you really do get plenty of display with nothing getting in the way.The phone is however a little uncomfortable to hold, so I would definitely recommend a case (a very basic one does come with the phone).Battery is very good, everything you would hope would be customisable is and to top it off, the phone really is attractive (although admittedly its nothing on the Honor 10 for looks). The camera is what you would expect (again, if that's a priority, opt for the Honor 10), but it is good. Nothing to write home about, but good. Same can be said for the sound quality (although I am very hard of hearing and the speakers are plenty loud enough for me).The only drawback for me so far is the phone being uncomfortable to hold (although that might just be how I hold it, and can be easily solved with a case). In all, you are getting an amazing phone for the price and unless you are coming from one of the market leaders most recent phones, you will likely not notice any negative effects. I have owned flagship phones for the last few years and decided to save the money this time. I am pleased I did. There is a lot more but that has already been written. You can find the facts of this phone easily, so I thought I would just offer an opinion and my opinion is if you are looking for a phone under £400 (which it was at the time of purchase), you can't go wrong here.Again, as mentioned, I spent a vast amount of time researching phones so if it's a camera you want, go for the Honor 10. Otherwise, if you want to make up your own mind on a mid range phone that offers everything you need (and more) in everything else then have a look at the Poco F1, have a look at the Honor View 10 and you will (in my mind) be choosing between the best 2 overall.I can't speak for the Poco F1 but as far as the Honor View 10 goes, I have zero issues at all in awarding it 5 stars

A lot has already been said about this phone in the numerous reviews, so I'll throw in my pros and cons and explain why I had to send this phone back (I'm sure many of you will think one of the reasons is absolutely ridiculous!).CONSFingerprint reader is ultrasonic and frequently fails. Coming from a Huawei device, whose fingerprint reader worked super fast, 100% of the time, this was unbearable. The face unlock is super fast, but that's not secure enough for me; it's not 3D face unlock like an iphone X, for example. That was a deal breaker for me.The notch! For me, it's not a Marmite thing, I really don't mind a notch done well and you can always hide it if you need; you can turn the notification bar at the top black too,so it looks like a regular screen. The main reason why I sent this phone back is because it's just not a thought-through design. Why, if you are trying to increase screen to body ratio by introducing a notch would you put a big fat chin on the phone with the fingerprint reader there!? Put the reader on the back of the phone! That just bugged the hell out of me and the lopsided-ness of the phone irritated me every time I looked at it. That was a deal breaker for me.This is really light and doesn't feel premium at all.PROSPlenty of storage internally, which is good as there is no expandable memory.Bright, beautiful screen and good for watching media on.The camera AI. It's basic (if you take a pic of the sky, it'll boost the blue. If you take a pic of trees, it'll boost the greens etc) but for point-and-shoot snaps; someone who's not so bothered about going into Pro Mode this is a very serviceable camera.Face unlock is super fast, but not secure. The colour is beautiful! For those of you new to Honor's OS, it's bright and colourful and intuitive. The knock gestures to go split screen or take a screenshot are really handy and quick to pick up. I would recommend this phone to someone who's not that bothered about phones but wants to splash out on something easy to use and a little bit bling. This would be a great first phone for a teenager.

Echoing the thoughts of the other reviews here: excellent first impression. Many of the reviews were critical of EMUI but it honestly isn't as bad as had been made out, by any stretch. It's the same android experience with a few extra quirks that will take you a few minutes to learn (there's a tips app). The screen isn't perhaps as sharp as other flagships but it's still awesome for the price -- you're only really able to tell in a side by side comparison. The battery life so far has been great, quick charge is great, the speed of the thing is great. I was skeptical of the AI claims but even if all it does is real time background optimisation (the only obvious function I can see) then that's enough for me.All in all I'm very pleased so far!Edit: I just wanted to give a brief update after a week with the phone. In short I'm blown away. I did a battery test on the latest firmware, took it off charge at 7.30 and it told me that I was 30 seconds from losing charge at 22:53 the following evening. That's almost 40 consecutive hours without charge, with 2 commutes to my office (there and back) during that time where I had Spotify playing and read a news app at full brightness. I watched movies, I chatted on messenger, browsed the web -- all the things you would normally do I did.It has this really helpful built in feature that cleans up background processes and tells you very clearly when your phone is operating at optimal efficiency. I can categorically say that I have had a flawless experience and there is precisely zero things I dislike about this phone.

I've been very pleasantly surprised by this phone - I've always had the expensive flagship Samsung Galaxies and assumed that a great camera, battery life, features and premium glass build were only available on the priciest phones. This year however I snapped when I saw the price of Samsung's latest offerings - £800 and upwards, that's crazy! So after some research I heard about the Honor 10, which ticked all the boxes and added an IR blaster and huge storage capacity to boot so thought it was worth the try - so glad I did it's AMAZING! The blue version has a stunning multilayered glass back that changes from blue to purple to teal when tilting it, the front is taken up by it's awesome vibrant display and it's incredibly fast. The camera produces excellent pics, it's got a long battery life and other than not being watertight and only having one speaker it easily beats all the fancy flagships I've owned for less than half the price - considering that Honor still have to turn a profit, it makes me slightly horrified how much of the cost for the Galaxy phones I've owned was just for the name! Very highly recommended, however do please note that to receive the free wireless headphones offer YOU MUST ADD BOTH TO YOUR ORDER AT THE SAME TIME - I didn't and had to reorder the phone and headphones, then return my original phone which was a bit of a faff!

I had an Honor 7 for two years and upgraded to this Honor 10. Here are my thoughts.PROSNo SD card. Loads of internal storage (120GB) so no need to keep moving apps between memory and storage to free up space. The screen is great and very crisp and there's more space for icons.Porting between phones is a doddle even when you have dozens of apps. The new version of Android supports split screen which was top of my wishlist!NFC is really useful and easy to set up to pay for things with. The phone is narrow enough to easily hold in one hand, which was a big requirement for me.CONSThe fingerprint reader is rubbish. I often have to press it several times which is really annoying if I want to use my phone quickly. It worked perfectly on the Honor 7, so they've gone backwards.Photos in even moderately dark light come out terrible with the default settings. I have to mess around and take a "night" photo if I want to be able to see anything! The battery life is not brilliant. I am a heavy user and I still need to charge it twice a day sometimes.OVERALLA big improvement on the Honor 7 but keeps a similar look and feel, just a bit more modern. Upgrading was relatively painless and everything still works. There are a few niggles, but it's still a good phone.

The phone has a great look as shown in the advertisements with Full HD display which is excellent to watch movies & 4K videos. Fingerprint scanner is at the bottom which works super fast even with wet hands. The camera is also exceptional with its 24 16 MP rear and 16 MP front and can take 4K@ 30FPS and 1080p @ 60 FPS. It also has slow motion, time lapse, light painting, portrait mode and so many editing options for taking fantastic photos. Facial unlock is very fast that you just need 0.5 sec to unlock phone without any touch. With the 4 GB RAM you can switch between apps and can play high graphic games without any hang or delay. Speakers have very clear sound and loud volume.Calling clarity and mic is good with noise cancellation. The phone has so user friendly that it provides many user friendly settings. The negative side is that its battery drains out faster than normal phones. It takes only 1 hour to get 90% charge (from 0-90%). But the remaining 10% will take up to 25 min for charging. Even though the battery remains only 15-18 hours with normal usage and 12-15 hrs for heavy usage. So that you have to charge twice a day. I think it is the only negative I found. All together the phone is good.

I had very bad experience with Samsung S8. Two weeks after I got it fell from less than a meter high. The phone was inside a full cover leather case and and screen protector. To my amazement the screen back and front were smashed to pieces.I asked samsung to repair and the asked me to pay 300 pounds. I had given them two weeks earlier 800 pounds for the phone. So rather that waist more money on a pathetic samsung design I gave another 75 pound on the top of 300 pounds they asked for the repair and got (after many days of research) myself a Honor View 10.I am Honored to own this phone and I wish,I new better before I waisted my money to a very fragile "fresh egg" like the galaxy S8.Excellent in Honor view 10:* Large very clear 5.9" screen* Lovely camera* Very fast processor 6 Gb* Large (128Gb) memory* Long lasting all day battery ( Samsung S8 two charges per day)* Feels solid as a construction, comes with a screen protection fitted and silicone case in the back.I could write for hours but I will end it here by saying it was very sensibly priced at under 400 pounds.Bad things about honor view 10 mmmm ..... let me think ..... it is blue ..... I can leave with that.

Very good phone and as reviewed by others on Youtube. I think its better than OnePlus even without OLED screenGood performance generally, very good IPS screen, sound is excellent (despite single loudspeaker) and on headphones whether wired or bluetooth (Yes it has a headphone jack). Its even good as a phone (unlike some others) and early use of camera looks very promising. (Not so much hype reported as on other phones). Great battery life - frequently still has >50% after a day. It also reports on high power consuming apps. . Face recognition is quick except in the dark, but fingerprint reader also good (and on the front!). Transfer of apps was easy using Huawei software, though one Sony app had to be reloaded (Music Centre) but now works fine. Some problems with accessing phone book in the car even though all transferred and the phone works well with bluetooth in car.apart from this.NFC works well with Google Pay and linking with other electronics. Bluetooth links easily and has great range. Music player app is a bit limited so may need to purchase one when not using SpotifyWhats missing? Wireless charging but has a strong aluminium case (not glass) and waterproofing.

Now I don't know how valid my opinion will be because I only just upgraded from a Galaxy S6 to this phone. So for all the "Must-have-new-tech" guys and girls out there, I don't know a thing about phones and how they should or shouldn't operate in this day and age.But for those of you just looking to upgrade from a phone that is a few generations behind, I cannot recommend this phone enough. The interface is intuitive and relatively easy to use. I'm still trying to figure out the kinda-stock-android options that were made easier with the Samsung interface, but I'm sure it will come with time and a bit of googling. The phone feels good to hold, even though I have almost instantly put it in a protective case (it's now my baby.)Camera quality is amazing, not a huge fan of how saturated pinks are when I'm using the front-facing camera under white light, but I'm sure there's some setting somewhere that will fix this for me.Great for playing a few games, using the internet, messaging people and just doing what a phone should be doing from my personal perspective. Also I get my daily notification of when I've done 10,000 steps. All in all, I love it

My return to Android after around 8 years on iPhones. My iPhone 6 had become incredibly slow and dodgy. I refuse to give Apple around £700 to get something that is basically the same, but working. Did a load of research over a few months, and decided to go with this over the OnePlus. It's a great phone for the price, 128GB, lightning fast, beautiful screen, battery great, call quality great. Really good build quality. For someone moving to Android, it can take a little while to choose the apps that do everything you are accustomed to. But I soon found that this can do everything and way more that my iPhones could. Using an iOS device now feels like going back in time a few years technology wise. Some really great features including multiple users,NFC, Super Charge, Google Pay (you won't miss Apple Pay!), notification light, face unlock. The fingerprint reader is incredibly fast. My only small issue is the camera which can be a little hit and miss, but then so is every smartphone camera. It takes beautiful shots in good light! Focus is a little slow sometimes. But for me, it doesn't let the phone down enough to loose a star.

Very happy with that phone. It's coming with front glass protector and transparent l silicone cover, but Hoomil wallet cover is more better!Important options I've found :+The card slot can be used for 2x SIM cards ( not locked are) or 1 x SIM + 1 x Micro SD card. I have 64GB card for test attached and the ROM is growing to 190 GB!-There is no option to activate WiFi calls!-Cannot be used both SIMs for calls at same time .+ Voice calls Reject or Answer.+Voice call during locked screen.+Can replace home's remote controls using infrared sensor - Smart Controller IR remote controls.+Fingerprint scan.+Today software update received. Turbo function used for the games will be added to the rest.Fastest software is expected.+ Very good camera. In total, I am very happy with that phone! Thanks for the fast delivery.Greetings.N. B.The warranty is starting automatically when you get the confirmation email.
