Trumpeter have come up with a well-tooled kit here. I think it's kind of like a three-part model; the easy bit, assembling the body which is in two parts, the more difficult making of the upper superstructure and the even-more difficult than that final part of the cranes, masts etc. Many etched parts like the dozens of access covers in the superstructure. At first they look too small, surely - but with a little bit of patience (and nerves of steel) the whole thing comes together really well, The detail on the ships lifeboats is really good. Final finished model looks fantastic - if you like making ship models you can't go wrong with this one. Last but not least; really reasonable price too.

Very good quality mouldings on the plastic parts and a good set of Brass etched components to give that extra detail. Instructions are good but the amount of detail requires careful checking especially as some components are made up in sub units many pages before they are actually fitted.

I was surprised to find it did not include a stand , when all the other Trumpeter models I have bought did ! ,, but good model , arrived in time stated. :)
