Bought this from Amazon in May 2017 at which time the feature of it having 50 data memories was prominently advertised and I bought it hoping to take advantage of that feature to record time of maximum or minimum sound level over a period. Instantaneous displayed sound level readings can indeed be stored, together with time and date of the measurement, as detailed in the instructions. Also explained in the instructions is how to measure the maximum or minimum value over a period which cannot be set automatically but is manually determined. A problem arises however when you want to record that maximum or minimum level. Following the instructions again it is possible to record what should be the reading displayed during the maximum or minimum hold period.On reading the data however, the time and date recorded is when you select Record and the sound level value is nonsense. For example, if you are measuring dBA it displays dBC and a number unrelated to the value displayed at the time of the Record. After an extended correspondence with Trotec often involving months of waiting they deny this is a design fault although the error is experienced while following the instructions supplied. Possibly influenced by my correspondence with them the advertising of the 50 memories has vanished from the product description.This is otherwise a very nice sound meter which appears to be as accurate as specified. But it is a basic meter without a properly integrated memory function and misleading instructions. Provided you don't need to record the time of maximum or minimum value over a period this is a good buy.
