After trying numerous standard metal cage type dog crates I decided to invest in a more sturdy model which would provide increased safety for my dog and also more suitable for transporting in the car.Following some research I chose this small Trixie dog crate, we have a Border Terrier and as such didn't want anything too big but equally sufficiently large enough for him to lie down and also sit and stand.The parcel arrived yesterday, partially assembled and flat packed in a box. It took me around 30 minutes to assemble once I had read the instructions.All parts and build quality are of a high standard, the door is simple to open and close, sturdy and solid.

Unfortunately we have to live with the way the product arrived as we are travelling to pick our new dog up on Sunday and have no other option and know we would not get a replacement for it by then, so had to put it together.The box was damaged, I would say in transport, and has cracked the one side panel as in photo (inside of cage) there was very little package protection on the panels causing the one corner to penetrate the flat panel and crack it about three inches.Extremely disappointed.However overall the item is exactly what we are looking for, extremely sturdy when together, well made, easy to put together and looks the part,

I find this crate superb. It is very solid, does not rattle at all and is simplicity it's self to open and close. I use cocker spaniels for shooting and they all love it. The none slip pads beneath are very good and the crate does not move about even during heavy braking.The one draw back it the weight - the panels are of faced timber rather than aluminium. All well finished though and has already done some hard work "in the field" without signs of ware.I would not like to man-handle the larger models though.

I have given this product top marks it ticks all the boxes.dogs can travel safe they don't bark at each other because unlike a wire grate they are not starring at each other.It's easy to clean and keeps dirt and dust from going all over the car.Got good ventilation, easy to get in and out of car. only one negative thing i would have like to be able to lock it but then I would not be leaving them unattended anyway.I would recommend this as a good product.

We needed something that was safe for our black Labrador that fitted into the boot of our new VW Tiguan. This fitted perfectly and gets swapped into our VW T5 campervan for holiday trips, so although isn't overly light it is possible to move. The dog is safe and secure and we can open the boot without an excited dog trying to escape.

Absolutely love this! My dog has bad separation anxiety and we try not to leave her unless we absolutely have to. Unfortunately due to her problems she needs to be crated, even for short periods. She has bent/destroyed other crates but this one has been much safer and so far has proven safe and indistructable. It’s a godsend!

Really impressed with the build quality of this. Easy to build and very sturdy. Needs a big boot to fit but it goes in the back of my wife’s s-max mumbus with a little bit to spare for odds and ends.Interesting title as it doesn’t change when you opt for the bigger size... outs fits our Labrador!

Its well made and robust but be patient and allow some time to assemble and a second pair of hands is essential.
