My only complaint about this carrier is that I found the clips on the sides a bit too firm for me to fasten and unfasten easily when experimenting with it when I first received it - better than not being firm enough, I suppose. Otherwise it suited me well, being not too heavy, not too big so that you have to lean over to hold it away from your legs, and the right size for our medium-sized cat. The door mechanism is easy to use. The vet and I had to dismantle the whole thing to get the cat out who was clinging on with all his might inside, but I have been told, and found it to be correct, that if the cat doesn't want to go in, upend it and lower the cat in vertically, backwards.

I have had this robust and comfortable carrier for several years for my large cat.It is very easy to add or remove the lid and door grid once you have found the notches.I have a soft furry mat inside and leave the bottom half of the carrier in a cupboard all the timeso the cat can have a sleep in it; not just for vet trips !To put my cat inside, I prop the doorless carrier on the seat of an armchair with the opening tipped up against the arm so the floor is sloping downwards which makes it more dificult to get out.Would highly recommend.

Good quality plastic and large enough to transport my two adult cat's to the vet. Putting it together was really easy, but I did have a little problem getting the two front pegs through the corresponding holes (the plastic is so robust it's hard to push the sides in!). I did manage it in the end. The handle seems well fixed and I'd trust it not to fall apart. The front door has four winged pegs holding it shut, they can be opened in pairs so the door can swivel open from the left or right.Very good value for money.

My moggy boy grew alot larger than anticipated(just over 5kg) so I had to get him a carrier that was more comfortable than his childhood carrier. With this one he has much more room to move about in and it's secure and sturdy. Overall I'm very pleased with it, and my cat has taken to it as well, so I have left the door off and put a blanket in there for him to chill out whenever he wants to. So far he seems to like napping in it. I think it's a good size for smaller dogs as well, or big enough for two petite cats.

We had an earlier version of this carrier and had been pleased with it. This updated version seems as sturdy and has all the same features. The plastics are as thick, the clips seem to be as strong and the door can be removed or just hinged on either side. The entire top comes off also. If you have had a Ferplast carrier before you would not be disappointed with this. It will accommodate a large cat or small dog. You do have to do a bit of self-assembly but it only takes a few minutes to put it together.

The cat carriers were as expected, however, on reflection and although the measurements were provided, we decided they were a little small for our cats. In an ideal world the cats would just walk in, but reality is that they struggle and splay their legs (like cartoon cats) and it's hard to get them in. We have given them away (the carriers not the cats) and will order larger ones! They would be rather small for long journeys unless the cat is very small.

I already have one of this brand and following a search and look at other reviews, chose it again for my second cat. It's very good, the clips don't seem as stiff & tricky to open as the old version. There's venting all the way around the top (the old version only had slats on the sides). I was thought it would be a bit bigger than my old one but they are the same size and fine for small cats. My two are 3kg each.

Good quality carrier and plenty large enough for a cat to be able to stand, turn around and move about. I have only rated 2 stars for comfort because I had assumed the carrier would come with a fitted cushion as the same model has them included on display in a well-known pet shop chain. It's my own fault for not checking properly before buying but it doesn't seem possible to buy a fitted cushion separately.

This is my second identical pet carrier for my cats, as I need the two with having two cats and one kitten. I love the superb quality, knowing that my cats are safe and comfortable with the secure door locks and sturdy roomy carrier. My first one was bought about four years ago and still looking like new. The handle is very comfortable too. I highly recommend this carrier which is very easy to assemble.

We already owned one of these carriers and as they are so well made and sturdy, had no hesiation to buying another when we got our second cat.The carrier is easy to assmeble and take apart. It gives good protection too (why do dog owners think it's ok for their pooches to stick their face up against a basket containing a cat when they're at the vets?)Would definately recommend...

I love this carrier, it is quite small but fits my 6 month old kitten perfectly and has taken her to the vets a few times. I will probably be able to use it for another 6 months. My very large cat sleeps in it but hangs out of it, it would be too small to take her to the vets in it. If you have an adult cat I would suggest going up a size.

I only ordered this on the 6th March and received it on the 9th March - what a fantastic delivery service. The carrier was very easy to assemble and it is very sturdy and large enough for my cat Toffee to fit in - with lots of room inside, he can stand or lie down and still have plenty of space so not too cramped - it's perfect. Thank you.

Bought to accommodate my large cat who had to crouch in previous carriers - now he can sit up. It is of course heavier than previous carriers and bigger to store away so there are draw backs. It was easy to assemble and seems very strong. The front grill either opens like a door or flaps down, whichever suits you and your cat/small dog.

Very good cat carrier. I always feel a little nervous when transporting my cat in a carrier (I've had one in the past where the lid came off! - fortunately no injuries!)This is a very strong, substantial carrier and I feel very confident when my girl is in it.It arrived quickly and was well packaged. Definitely recommend.

This replaces an identical carrier that we used to have long ago, that got lost. None of the other styles that we have had in the interim match up to this one for easy of use, so whatever size you need, I would recommend you get this model.This particular one is quite large, easily accommodates 2 hefty cats.
