My 10.5kg Mini Schnauzer can't see out of the windows so I needed a booster seat. This is the 2nd Trixie car seat I've bought, the first one lasting 5 years before it needed to be replaced.Good points:- Good roomy size- Perfect height for my dog- Securely straps to the back seat.Bad points:- Far too flimsy on the seat for a heavier dog, so I put 2 plastic tupperware boxes in the base which works a treat.- Don't know why the opening is at the front, when it's on a back seat and the dog enters the seat from the side? So I've just folded the sides down and just use the base though this does make it impossible to secure the seat using the side straps provided!- Why isn't the inside wipeable?

I absolutely love this product. I have a 'seatbelt' for our pug that attaches to the seatbelt in the car and we used to just put her normal dog bed in the car and harness her up. However, we used to end up with dog hair all over our car! She also looked quite tense and uncomfortable.We bought this product as we bought a new car and didn't want dog hair all over it! It completely contains her and means no part of her is touching the seat and therefore all dirt and hair is contained. She seems so much more comfortable in it as well and just laid down, very relaxed. It also supports her well - I was a bit worried about her weight as she weighs around a stone but it was fine,

I bought it for my Poochon who is 9 weeks old. Size is fine and she now sits or goes to sleep comfortable. Like the mesh front so she can see out when lying down. Does need a cushion on the seat to balance due to dip in seat. Clip over head rest and clip round car seat does secure it enough to stay.However sides need too be reinforced with stiffer material as when she does put paws on them they collapse slightly. If bigger and heavier she could push right down. clip would be only thing keeping her in. I am hopping as she grows will not do this as will be used to using it. But can see me having to try and stiffen sides at some point. Also zips do not quite reach the top.

This Trixie Car Seat is the best purchase I could have made and a great price from Amazon.My Yorkshire terrier loves this seat, once we get moving he just lies down. I firstly tried a dog seat belt without success and then a fabric carrier, he wasn't at all happy just crying and trying to dig his way out which is very distracting when you are driving. I had a look on line to see what I could find and after reading reviews on other web sites thought I would give it a try. I know the sides aren't rigid but are quite thick and soft which makes it more comfortable when the dog lies down and with the dog seatbelt attached to his harness he stays in his place .Being in the passenger seat he can see me so is now nice and calm which makes us both happy.

My 3.2kg Morkie (Yorkie/ Maltese cross) fits well in the booster seat. It's very secure with the many straps and doesn't move, and gives him a bit of extra height to look out of the window. The underneath storage should also come in handy and overall I'm impressed and would favour this seat over many others on amazon. The only criticisms i would give are there's a partition in the storage area which helps to stop the seat area from dipping, and this could be better designed as it bends when my dog is on the seat. I remedied this by using spare sheet polystyrene i have. Might not be an issue if your dog is lighter. Also, the harness strap is very short, but i use a seatbelt extension anyway so don't need to use it.

For a small dog, this is as good as it gets !!! By small I mean, Terrier size. Then they can lie down move about etc, comfortable. Holding straps are good quality, lining etc are excellent quality. I was not sure what the under side open bit/void was for, I just used the box it came in to fill the gap so it was a booster seat. They love to look out don't they. I am not up on the tech thing on this site, but I bought the R.S.P.C.A Dog Harness to go with this. I disabled my passenger seat crash/air bag thingy. Re-routed the fixing point . And now I have a 100% happy, safe, little dog. This really is a great product.

Bought this product a few weeks ago and at first sight I was well pleased - as was the dog. She took to it immediately and lay down the first time she was in the car. She now often uses it as a step to see out the side window!! The box looks really comfy. The only thing is that the sides have collapsed as she lies with her head over them. The restraint is eleastic and my dog actually jumped to the ground one of the times I opened the door but it mainly seems to hold her in place. Not sure how long the elasticity will last though.Overall I am please with this as she cannot reach the people in the front.

Good item for my little pooch who hates being in the car and gets travel sick. Now she can see out the window and is much happier. I would prefer if the harness strap was in the middle at the back rather than the side but small issue. My main reason for not giving 5 stars is the base isn't very strong again this can be fixed by putting something under to support it, and the zips undo easily so the front opens if she leans on it. Again. Small problems and I got this at a reduced price so I am happy. Not sure I'd be as impressed if I paid full price.

Absolutely love this booster car seat and so does my dachshund! Really spacious so my dog has plenty of space.It secures with 3 safety clips. One round the headrest and 2 around the back of the chair.I use a separate seatbelt to secure my dog.It gives enough height so my dog can see out the window and has a large storage space up under the seat which you can access by opening the zip of there’s 2 small hidden holes at each side you can slip your hand into. I keep a towel, bottle of water, water bowl and doggie bags in there.

Absolutely brilliant - the seat is very good quality & relatively easy to install in a car. It provides a comfortable, safe & very stable dog seat. I drive a Mercedes SLS & to date my little Jack Russell has been very nervous & upset by having to be in a sports car seat which is very low & hard. Now she is much happier as she can sit at the same height as me & not have such a hard, noisy ride! It fits the seat well & I can also use it just as successfully in my BMW X1. Well worth the money & well deserving of the good reviews!

Just received this yesterday and have already taken my 5 month old pomchi puppy out in it today, our previous set up didn’t give me a lot of reassurance of safety but I have complete peace of mind with this, the sides could be a tiny bit more sturdy but it does the job good size for her to lie down in and can still see out of the window when she wants too :) if it was around 25/30 pound mark would be better but at the same time you can’t put a price on safety overall very happy

Arrived on time just as described by the seller ,I put it together very quickly ,fits nice in my front seat in the car ,nice and cosy for my pup she likes the soft fur I was worried about it being to hot for this weather but it does not seem to be a problem , well made and in two parts it gives my puppy a boost up so she can now see out the window ,good materalls used I would recommend it to all a nice looking seat and keeps the dog save as well !!

My Jack Russell loves this car seat, nice height to look out of car window, well put together nice materials used in construction, and it seems to be able to contain dog hairs making cleaning of interior easier, i attach the dog to safety belt via a gap left in the seat for this purpose, (separate attachment needed to do this, i got this also from amazon) all in all a good buy if your after a secure car seat for your dog look no further.

This pet car seat has been recommended by a friend which is why I have purchased it in advance of collecting my Shih Tzu puppy at the end of the month. I am hoping she will have many years of comfortable travel when I take her out in the car with me. I read lots of reviews on this car seat before I eventually decided to buy it and the majority of people have given good reviews so I am confident that I too will be happy with it.

I was going to buy a replacement booster seat from Amazon as they are such good dog seats and last for ages. I was amazed with the varying prices of the seats and the expensive delivery charges so I bought mine from an online dog website. Sometimes cheap prices are a con with outrageous delivery prices.Oh gosh - since I posted my review the sellers are now offering free delivery. Far too late now for me and my jack russell.
