After having had this for a month now I feel I have given it a very thorough testing now and have the following review-->Pros-->I like the way it came although I personal did not use it the way it show's in the photograph's. Why not?Because I already had my own large and medium sized litter tray's so I felt I did not need to soil this one just in case in needed to go back. The system in itself is very good,.....However........CONSUnfortunately it DOES need some tweaking. The holes in the sieve part are just slightly too large for the wood pellet cat litter that I like to use. Why? Because with wood pellets I find that the wee breaks down and is absorbed by the pellet's and it therefore much easier to then deal with.Although I can now see an argument for use the clumping style of cat litter. But when did you ever see a cat doing it's business in Clay?!! They can't move solid clay.So the holes in the sieve are just slightly too big and either get trapped in the sieve or go right through. And they are pretty much all the same size of wood pellet's,...I don't know why.SO I don't use what would be the lowest tray and I don't use the rim which holds them all together. I just use the blue part and the white sieve. And I have given it the review points accordingly.I put my poop scoop in the photo as that is what I was using before and it has the right sized holes. It's just too small and can't do more than a scoop full where as the sieve can do the whole litter tray in one go.I must stop typing now as I have more work to do.Update on 01/04/2020 and no not an April fool.Okay, after even more testing I have decided it really 'Should' have been smaller holes. If half the size again would have been designed in all the wet soiled wood pellet's that are in the sieve part would fall through leaving intact wood pellet's in the sieve. Sorted :-) :-DUpdate 02/09/2020What I failed to spot originally was the fact that this litter tray system is acting for clay cat litter and not wood pellets. There is a wood pellet system out there. Doh!!!

Very good system (bought mine from Amazon.fr but review here) but needs a plan to make the most of it. There are some rules.Cat litter itself should be fine grains, like sand. I tried normal rough and it jammed in the grilles as they can be a bit small, due to spider web pattern, slots may be better ? The litter should bind well with pee, fresh pee and most litters won't hold together so wait a while till it sets.So litter must be fine is the main rule. I fill about half full levelCleaning - Pee tends to stick to the tray through the grille, one solution is a sheet of paper underneath which can just be slid off the tray. Our cats tend to pee one end mainly so I put a small sheet of paper covering about 1/4 of the top of the perforated tray that end to stop excessive clumping.Lift the perforated tray and most falls through leaving some stuck to the grille in the tray, just a bit. Put this over a bin and use a small paint brush to dislodge this. Paper and perforated tray in next tray and pour in the unused litter, done.None of these systems can be pefect but I don't think excessive disinfecting is necessary, just a good clean with a brush to dislodge. Some pee'd litter, v small amout, will end up in the main litter but disappears into it. I clean the grille and trays with kitchen spray cleaner once a week or so or as necessary and think I will change all the litter once every couple of weeks as some used will build up.Good news is I am using 10-20% of the normal amount I would use.

Very happy with this tray! Despite the few reviews that weren't keen we decided to try it anyway, we recently moved house and binned our old tray as it was stinky, we bought a new rectangle tray, cheap and fast. Whilst this one was on order. Well after using this one the other tray is going in the bin pronto! The cats took to it straight away, 1 kitten, I medium outside one, and one much older, bigger, obese cat ? ? so a wide range of cats here all loving the tray. There's 2 trays and one sieve. The two trays slightly differ in colour which is actually fantastic. So tray, sieve, tray. Litter and poop all in the top tray, lift it up, tip it onto the sieve, lift the sieve up,all the clean litter falls into the bottom tray. I then cleaned out the top tray, and put that one onto the bottom, so if you are savvy you will be able to tell when it's clean by what colour it was in the am ?It's fantastic. Im very impressed. The sieve worked very well, we used a lot of litter, we filled it right up so there would be no sticking to the bottom, and that works extremely well.So keep it topped up with litter, use a Lot. Plus side is the sieve saves an incredible amount of littler I'd have usually scooped and binned, negative is it can be a bit heavy to pick up and tip.So I tipped the tray into the sieve , then the sieve end fit perfectly into a nappy sack which is what we use, and I just tipped soiled litter in and threw away. Fast, clean, efficient, large tray!

If someone had told me I’d be writing reviews for a box that an animal poos in then I’d have laughed. But, here I am writing a review about a poop box. My cat, Walter, he’s just the best cat in the world! I had a large litter tray for him and I’d be using a little scoop to get rid of the mess. Then recently I discovered clumping cat litter for him and suddenly life got a little easier. Then by chance I discovered you could get a special tray for the clumping litter .... hence this purchase. So .... the tray system is two trays and a litter tray sized sieve. It works well, when you are ready to scoop simply pour the litter through the sieve into the empty tray which you will have stored underneath.Tip the clumps from the sieve into the bin, wipe out the ‘dirty’ tray with a piece of kitchen roll and a squirt of cleaner and then stow it underneath the tray that is in use.My cat isn’t so sure about the rim which is removable, so I don’t use it, however I recommend this tray and it’s very useful.

I bought this in an attempt to stop the cats tracking litter everywhere. It hasn't worked for that (they ping it out as they scratch to cover up) but I still really find this tray convenient.I keep it stacked with the sieve between the two other trays. When I want to change the litter (I use clumping corn pellets) I take the top layer off, and pour it into the sieve on the second tray. This leaves some big clumps stuck to the first tray which I scoop straight into the rubbish sack, then I clean the tray under the tap and leave it to dry while I deal with the rest of the litter. I pick up the sieve, and tip it back and forth until the clumps are left, then pour those clumps into the rubbish bag (it needs a good tap,as the pellets do get stuck in the sieve, which is a bit annoying). Then I put the sieve in the first (now dry tray) put them both under the second tray which is now full of the sieved cat litter, and clip it back together - super quick, and no problem cleaning/missing bits.

I bought this product because I wanted to use a more recyclable litter as I now have to keep one of my cats indoors. After about a month of usage, I can say that I am absolutely delighted with this product.I have switched from using a clay-based litter to one of the wood pellet types, (in fact it is the wood pellets used for fires as they are half the price of those marketed for cats :) ). While a few of the granules either pass through the sieve or get stuck in the grid, it performs admirably and almost manages to make sorting out the litter pleasurable! After removing out the solids, it's simple to pour the litter into the sieve resting in the second tray and then lift and shake the sieve.Theonly issue my cat has had was that the clip-on rim reduced the size too much for him - he has walking difficulties so turning round in small places is hard. That problem was easily solved by not using the rim.

I bought this for a recently acquired cat which needed to be re-homed. She is 12 years old and a big girl so I thought the size of this tray would be good. In that regard it's perfect and she loves it as there is plenty of room for her to move around.I thought the sieve idea was good as well but not so sure now. I'm using clumpable cat litter and what I have found is that it clumps together and sticks to the sieve so I have to try and dislodge it and the sieve ends up getting blocked anyway. I'll give it a bit longer to see how it goes but I'm thinking that I might discard that sieve section altogether and just use the other two parts and a scoop as stuff will probably be easier to get out ofthe smooth bottoms of these.I still gave it four stars because of its size as this big girl apparently used to tip her tray on the floor as it was too small for her.

The trays are nice and big. Its smooth interior makes it easy to clean with a wet sponge. It appears sturdy and also easy to assemble. However, the lip does not always prevent litter from being sprayed out, though maybe some have been caught. I also find its sieving functionality lacking for gravel/sand type litter which I use. Everything falls right through. It’s far easier and faster, and less dusty, to use a litter scoop. The plus side for me is, for the price, while I don’t use the “collander” except to store all items neatly in one place with the clips, I’ve literally gained two trays for the price of one, swapping dirty for clean whenever I need to change. Or when I foster a second cat,I now have an extra tray available. I would certainly recommend getting it, even if just for this reason.

A few people said that the grips won't go back on, well, they will, just slide the inner layers back and forth to allow the gravel to flow upwards through the white layer, this will let it fit into place a little easier, meaning the grips will go on.The product is excellent, very simple and very well designed. The major flaw of course being that it doesn't really attend to the liquid side of things, fortunately some low cost clumping cat litter soon fixes that problem, as long as you are careful when emptying it will clump just enough normally to stay in the white and not filter through to the blue layers.Well constructed from high quality materials and very well designed indeed.

You need to make sure you use really fine clumping litter which is not cheap but does work a lot better than the coarse grit cheap stuff. You need a fair bit of grit in it which can make it a bit heavy when transferring from one tray to the other. This works well with one of our cats but not the other. The reason for not working for the one is that he likes to dig a bit before he goes so pees close to the sieve so the clumping happens on the the sieve itself sometimes sticking to both sides which can be a pain to clean. Both cats seem happier with these trays and litter so we are sticking with them. Conclusion: depending on your cats toilet habits I would recommend these trays.

At first glance I thought the holes in the bottom for the powdered pine dust to fall through were too big, but once we got to using it, I thought they might actually be too small! Trying to get the dust to fall through the holes into the underlying tray is not easy, and you're bound to make a bit of a mess as you try and shake the dust through. The handles are flimsy and come off easily but clip right back on again. The idea of it saving money in litter because you're using pine pellets is good. I'v not used very much at all since I had this, but when I clean out the dust, it is a good 15 minute job, and not as easy as I thought it would be.

I have found this to be an excellent box for the price. Nice and big and cat is happy with it.Regarding the clips. I have found three to be sturdy. Suspect some may not have sussed out the “hook bottom in and then push top in” or have not aligned the trays properly - then they make break if you are forcing them.Great idea with the sieve but to be honest I just use litter bags and a scoop as if less hassle - still think it’s a good tray though.Rim is quite big but essential if you use bags.Bemused with the complaints that’s the litter falls through the sieve. That’s the whole point. There are even photos showing you how it works.

Such an excellent idea! Litter cleaning is a breeze now. I wish I had found this years ago. Soiled litter does tend to stick and clog the sieve slightly, but nothing that a couple of firm taps on the back won't dislodge. A good wash every now and then is all it needs to keep working as intended and to make my life tons easier and my kitties toilet experience more pleasant. I have been removing soiled litter about three times a day, but then again I have three kitties, so once a day for one cat is probably all it'd need to keep litter impeccable. I would definitely buy again!

I really like this litter tray, and so do my cats. It is very easy to clean. I do have to add that I use it with the 'Cat's Best öko plus' cat litter, which is quite expensive. You need less of it, though, so it's not that much more in the end. I had problems with cheaper litter: it forms big clumps that stick to the bottom of the tray, which is a particular problem with this tray as it is basically a sieve. When used with the Cat's Best litter it works an absolute treat: everything comes out almost without a trace, and you can simply dispose of it in the toilet! Brilliant!

A good size although I would like it to be a bit bigger, I agree with other reviews the safety locks are a pain to secure. I use this for my 15 year old cat, she took to it immediately, I use wood pellets and the slots do get clogged, but I do not have to change the litter so frequently, just shake and the sawdust goes to the under tray, unfortunately so do the smaller pellets so I am loosing some of the good pellets too, overall its not really suitable for wood pellets but I am not having to change the tray so often which is a godsend when I work full time.....
