The description of this product is accurate. I have a medium size cat, and he can lie down, stretch out and chill out in it. The flaps are ideal, he likes to be in a darkened place when travelling, saves having a car blanket over it as i did for my last cat basket. Comes with pegs so you can secure it to the ground, good to provide shade in the garden in the hot weather. Only one thing i have found negative about it, it needs a board at the bottom to give extra support, so it doesn't bow when you pick it up, with the cat inside. By cat does not scratch at the material, so i don't know if it would rip easily. Hope this helps.

We use this for transporting our spaniel dog safely whilst in the car... he's not left alone and settles brilliantly. It is snug and well made, stores easily. Vents make seeing us easy for his reassurance whilst driving with flaps to pull down if needed at the side but not at the front entrance which is a minor gripe. Strong and does exactly what it is supposed to but I imagine certainly not for the escape artists/ chewers of our doggie varieties.
