This is one of the greatest games to come out in the last decade. Unfortunately, this game was released in the wrong time frame between Battlefield 1 and Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare and as a result sales were very low. Resulting to the community being small, however, over the last few months, these numbers are rising rapidly. This game deserves more credit and here's why:I played the original Titanfall game but I only had like 10hrs or so game time and I absolutely loved it. It really didn't bother me too much that it didn't have a campaign but the multiplayer experience was fast paced and very unique at the time which made up for the lack of story. I played the Titanfall 2 beta and at first,I didn't like it because it didn't feel like the original however after a few hours of fun I realised that this game was going to be the Assassin's Creed 2 of the franchise.I bought the game on Black Friday and I play it every day and I'm addicted! The game feels absolutely great with fluid mechanics and smooth movements. Everything about this game feels just right.Campaign:The campaign is short however it leaves a satisfying feeling after each and every mission. Each mission has a unique map (which are extremely gorgeous) which had a unique twist to the environment, for you the pilot to adapt to. The campaign focuses on the "bond between a Pilot and a Titan". I have to say being only about 6-7 hours long I personally think Respawn did an amazing job. I really felt this connection between the Pilot, Jack Cooper and B.T your Titan comrade. The comedy, sadness, awkwardness and happiness between these two was something I have never experienced before in a game. The missions were built to help you develop your parkour and air strafing for the multiplayer. At the end of each mission is a boss battle, ( each boss have their very own bad ass opening cutscene hyping you to kick their arses) which are some what challenging but after they were defeated you will always feel almost like you have achieved something great in your life.Multiplayer:Okay just like all games you'll get crushed by the day one pros however after hours of constant playing you can easily pick up the game. The multiplayer is really outstanding each game mode is different and you always have something new to try out.The multiplayer depth in this game is insane as of writing this review I have 8 days play time, I'm currently Generation 10.49 (the newest update will increase this level cap to Generation 100!) and I have only completed like 40% of the game. Each weapon has a levelling up system up to Generation 10, I have only achieved this on only 2 weapons out of about 30+ guns. Both guns I have about 2 days or so game time, now if you think about snipers, pistols, grenadier weapons and anti-titan weapons you're gonna be playing this game for a very long time until you maxed out everything unless Respawn adds, even more, guns and titans! There are also 6 Titans which require different play styles Ronin for being aggressive, Tone for being overpowered, Legion for the newbies, Northstar for the skilled and Ion for the Last Titans Standing players. Each of these Titans again requires a good couple of days of playtime to max them out.Northstar being the hardest and Tone being the easiest. The content:ALL DLC IS FREE! Each month Respawn treats its users with either new maps or new guns or new titans or new game modes which are all for free! Okay, not everything is free users are given the option to buy cosmetics to customise their Pilot and Titan loadout. Note that these have no effect on the multiplayer experience it just looks nice.Respawn have really outdone themselves with this game that I fear that Titanfall 3 may not be as good because of the extreme time and effort they have put into Titanfall 2. But this doesn't mean the next game will fail if the passion remains the same the follow-up will be equally if not even better! At the moment I can't really see how they can get even better but we will have to see.

So I never played the original Titanfall which was a multiplayer only first person shooter on the Xbox One. When the sequel was announced with a campaign included I was certainly interested and after christmas finally got a chance to play it and by all accounts Titanfall 2 is an excellent game I would highly recommend people try.In the campaign you play the role of Jack Cooper a rifleman for the Frontier Militia who are at war with the Core systems, more specifically the IMC who wish to exploit the frontier systems resources and control them. Though a Titan pilot in training Cooper is suddenly given a practical quicker than he expects when during an attack on an IMC controlled planet calledTyphon he ends up in control of the Titan BT and must finish the former pilots mission to save both the Militia still on the planet as well as Frontier forces at large. The story is actually pretty good, the game eases players in very well with a VR training sequence as well as the prologue mission. The main campaign sees a mixture of running around on foot as well as piloting BT fighting both normal soldiers and other Titans. Cooper and BT have a surprisingly good relationship that works well with your character being able to choose dialogue responses at times in which BT will respond differently and it's often pretty amusing as BT doesn't understand slang all to well. Though the campaign is short at around 5-6 hours it has some nice variety in both it's locations and goals, one of my favorite levels i can't say for spoilers but it was a real surprise, I liked the campaign quite a lot.The game plays extremely well, it's really fast paced and incredibly smooth. Cooper has a harness that allows him to double jump as well as run along walls and it's implimented brilliantly with changing direction in mid air and firing while wall running and sliding. The controls just feel so right and this is especially noticable in the multiplayer which is one of the smoothest feeling fast paced first person shooters i've ever played. The multiplayer has extensive modes from "Attrition" which features a mixture of players and AI controlled bots fighting against each other and players can call in their own Titans to pilot. It's a crazy mode where multiple Titans can be fighting it out with other players firing grenades and lasers to try and take them down. The game also features more traditional pilot vs pilot deathmatch modes, one on one Titan battles among others so there are a lot of options. Like most multiplayer shooters it has it's own progression system where you level up unlocking new guns, skins and tags. Weapons themselves each have their own level system as you use them which unlock their own skins. Nothing feels anything more powerful than anything else, I ran round with some of the start weapons and never really changed and found it easy to compete with people 30 levels higher than me, it seems well balanced. There are also a variety of classes to choose from that have abilities such as a grappling hook to get up to areas quickly, a shield to fire through, a radar etc.Presentation wise Titanfall 2 is excellent. The graphics are really nice not just technically but also artistically, some of the levels are really nicely coloured with skyboxes, jungles and lights. (Nice to play a shooter whose primary colour isn't solely brown) The Titan's all look great and it run almost flawlessly at 60fps which you can really feel while playing. I also really loved the voice acting and music. All in all I had a great time with Titanfall 2, it looks great, plays incredibly smoothly and the campaign was surprisingly good. I do wish the campaign had been longer or there was some kind of co-op mode but that's just wishful thinking and can't take away that Titanfall 2 is a great game.+ Campaign is surprisingly good.+ Multiplayer is fast paced with lots of options.+ Great visuals and presentation.+ Smooth controls and frame rate.- I wish the campaign was longer.

As a massive fan of the original Titanfall i couldn't wait to get my hands on the new game. I purchased a digital code online and downloaded it to my console a few days ago and have been playing a mix of this and Battlefield 1.OK so first thing first, the game looks great with decent graphics and the frame-rates are incredibly steady which is important for any fast moving game such as this. Unlike the first Titanfall, in this you get a proper single player campaign which actually has a worthwhile story (no spoilers) although it was on the shortish side (under 6 hours). The original Titanfall was all about the multiplayer and this is no different despite the inclusion of the campaign.Broadly speaking it is very similar to the first but with more variety in weapons for you as a "pilot" and the "Titans" themselves. Indeed Pilot weapons feel really refreshing and accurate to use. You also get new titan classes besides a new progression system and extensive customisation options to better tailor your Titan to suit your play style. Again just like before you can call in your Titan and instantly jump in or you can have it guard a specific area automatically or follow you around. Yes the game is fun to play and yes it looks fantastic and you get non-stop action from the second you start a match but there are a few negative points that nobody seems to have mentioned even at this early stage. While the maps are stunningly laid out with lots of variation (The team behind Respawn Entertainment were the original designers that created the original Modern Warfare series of maps) and given you have a jet pack so can double jump and wall run like before, FAR TOO MANY players have already started to camp on rooftops (worse than the previous game) and to be frank there are simply too many camping spots on the roofs. The grappling hook which enables players to scale walls, Titans or instantly transition to another roof has also made it a little too easy in my opinion. On the plus side Titans no longer come with shields as standard, instead you must unlock them which means you must earn the equipment. This game rewards hard work and progression.Pros: Graphics are stunning * Phenomenal audio both background music and weapons * Satisfying gun play both as a Pilot and as a Titan * Good map design * Decent Titan upgrades * 6 different Titan classes are available * Servers seem stable * A proper full length campaign * Titans are easier to take down compared with the first game * Good variety of modes including Team Deathmatch, Pilot vs Pilot, Domination and Hardpoint * Respawn Entertainment have promised free DLCCons: Too many camping spots on roofs for my liking * Grappling hook makes it far too easy * Smart pistol returns * Becomes repetitive very quicklyVERDICT: Make no mistake this is better than the first Titanfall in a variety of ways, the problem is while much has changed, quite a lot hasn't and while the original game worked and worked well, i do wonder how many people will stick with this over the long haul especially due to it's repetitive nature, which was the original games biggest failure and lead to a massive drop off in player numbers, only time will tell i suppose! I do question their choice in releasing the game now right in the middle of two of the biggest games hitting the market (Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty Infinite Warfare), it's a bold move and could prove costly, personally i think they should have released this six months ago when the gaming landscape was free and clear. Anyway, if you liked the first Titanfall then you will love this, if you never played the first then this is worth picking up especially if you have some friends to play along with. If you didn't like the first game then i doubt this will change your mind. Enjoy!

WOW! Is how to describe Titan Fall 2. In fact I'd give it 10 stars if Amazon allowed it.This leaves the new Call of Duty and Battlefield in the dust. You can tell this game was made by two people responsible for Call of Duty Modern Warfare. The two guys that Infinity Ward sacked. Now I know why Call of Duty went downhill from after Modern Warfare, these guys where the creative minds behind the outfit. How to describe it?Campaign is really good, albeit I haven't finished it yet as I'm too addicted to Multiplayer. Multiplayer is fun whether you're good at it or not, after a few days playing it I soon got much better regularly scoring at the top of the board.I prefer "Attrition" which is like Team Death match on cod...but very different. You run around killing the other teams Pilots, they're called Pilots as they Pilot the big Robots that all have their own abilities. As you run around a percentage meter is rising, when it hits 100% you can call your Titan Fall Robot down. It lands and is surrounded by a force field so the other team can't attack it until you're in it. Then you run around killing enemy team members, Grunts (little soldiers on the other side) Reapers (Smaller automated robots) and Spectres (smaller again little robots)... You can pull up force fields to stop other Tital Falls damaging you as much.Occasionally the enemy will jump on your Tital Fall, if you have an anti rodeo electric smoke canister you can use that to hopefully kill the little pest. If not jump out of the Titan Fall and shoot him off it. You can also jump on the enemies Titan Fall and pull it's battery out, halving it's health. Then jump back on it and put a grenade in it... and shoot it till it explodes.A tip to help you get on other Titans to sabotage them is to select the "hook perk" and use it to pull yourself up onto it and remove it's battery. Another tip for killing the enemy is to be able to see where they are better, find roofs and rocks etc to climb up on to, to get a birds eye view and kill the enemy.Use the 3 shot hemlock.... it's very accurate and often gets you a kill with one pull of the trigger. All in all, I won't even entertain the idea of playing Call of Duty now I have this game... it's not remotely comparable in fun.Buy this game you will 100% not be disapointed!

I have to get this out of the way first: this is a really awesome game and if you're into FPS at all, then you should buy it. Don't let four stars fool you into thinking that this isn't excellent. I love it. I'll explain why there's a missing star in a bit.First and most obvious difference between this and the previous Titanfall is the single player mode. It feels like it *should* be fairly mediocre - and there's nothing particularly special in the story that you haven't seen in dozens of other FPS games - what really elevates this is the game mechanics combined with genuinely superb level design. The designers have managed to get you in and out of your mech's cockpit without making you particularly hate a specific mode; this is something I usually feel in forced character splits.Instead you get to appreciate the unique aspects of both without the artificial feeling (that I tended to get from, say, Uncharted) that there's a happy coincidence between skill and just the right vine in the right place. And what fun it is when you really get into it. There's particularly immense satisfaction when, as a pilot, you go from a wall run to a double jump to a slide finishing off by shooting three enemies mid-slide and lobbing a grenade. It's utterly fluid and is what Mirror's Edge should be like. Wonderful. The multiplayer doesn't fare as well, in my opinion. I was a huge fan of the old Titanfall and I am of this one too but even with the old Titanfall I found myself falling off multiplayer about 3 months in. This time round it's even shorter. There's just so much about at the moment demanding my multiplayer attention - there's Overwatch and there's Battlefield 1. While that isn't a problem with the game design itself, I do think the timing of a game release counts and I think this is something that's going to be impacting lots of players - meaning that the number of players playing won't be as high as some other games and you can expect it to drop significantly in the coming months. Such a shame. If this had been released a few months earlier (or later), I probably would have given this an extra star.Still, the game's worth buying for the single player alone!

As someone, like a lot of gamers, who has grown tired by the FPS genre I must say I found this to be a very welcome change of pace. The combat is very fluid and just generally fun. The story is pretty good for an FPS that not only has a good overall general story but the relationship between your character and BT your titan is one that is explored well and to my surprise actually has moments where you can select your dialog with BT and he will react accordingly which is a rather nice touch. This story sees you as a gamer develop a relationship with BT which is one you actually become invested in and you form an emotional attachment to both characters.Whilst I have seen some other reviewers say that the story mode is short I would say it took me around 10 hours give or take to complete which I believe is a pretty reasonable length of time for an FPS story mode however I was playing on the harder difficult but with that being said I do not remember that many occasions where I restarted or simply the restarting process was quick and barely noticeable. One slight thing I noticed within the game is odd difficulty spikes where some earlier fights and boss fights were noticeably a lot tougher than later ones however this could have just been me. Whilst mentioning boss fights I found the idea of these boss fights against a band of mercenaries and their titans to be a bit cheesy, with their introductions and stuff, at first however I grew to enjoy them as the titan on titan combat was challenging and rewarding and allowed for some very intense battles, where upon beating them you would gain different 'classes' for your titan with new weapons and abilities. Overall I would have to say it is one of the best FPS games I have played for a very long time with a very entertaining story, which is probably the first FPS game with an interesting story I have experienced since probably Battlefield 3 but its been that long I can't even remember!A must have game that was very unfortunate to be released within the same time frame of Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Very Bad Marketing, but Fantastic Game!

To put this in perspective I was a call of duty player up until modern warfare 3. Then I switched to battlefield and destiny. I played the first titanfall, it was fun but missing something that didn't capture me.This is the first game I've preordered in two years that I've not regretted. The campaign is the best I've played since modern warfare 2. The missions are fun, some of them downright genius. The story is captivating and makes you want to keep playing it. It doesn't feel like some where you're doing the same thing over and over, go here, kill this, get that. It's genuinely interesting and worth it for this alone. The multiplayer is what most people will play though. And it is truly amazing,it's the most fast paced yet least rage inducing multiplayer I've played, and enjoyed, in a long time. Bounty hunt is an incredibly fun mode where there are two teams killing waves of enemies and after each wave you have to bank your bounty claimed, while trying to avoid other players killing you and stealing half. Titan customisation is not as extensive as you'd like but it's not limited at all, with a variety of titans each with their own strengths and playstyle. The maps are well designed to be balanced and exciting with no match ever being the same. It's a hell of a game and honestly I can't recommend it enough. Unlike the first one it's not something I've got bored of after a while, and all of the dlc is free. All of the new maps for free as they come out.

Really good and fun multiplayer, the story mode is welcomed to compliment the online. I personally love the game, swapping from pilot to mech. The online runs flawless with plenty of unlocks the new titans are a nice touch with each own special abilities. I pre ordered COD IW but took the receipt and swapped it to this, because the beta was, I can I put it, s***.... It's nice to have a optional shooter apart from cod and battlefield. In my opinion this is the game that I prefer, I had played all the betas but I chose to go for titanfall. My friends and brothers agree so multiplayer is fresh and fun. The story mode is really something different going alone then giant mech fights with your trusty mech which is fully customisable with the dpad right direction,as you progress you find guns with further become customisable. I've played it for 4-5 hours and time has vanished, I love been able to sprint, wall rung hang shoot and continue the speed of putting them together, you kind of challenge yourself to see how fast you can put your skills together while eliminating robot enemies and troops. All in all its a really good game, it's only the die hard cod fans that will moan simply because they are happy COD are overcharging and not giving a s*** about game play any more, they even copied titanfall game play, cod are sinking fast with fans I was one of them. New era of games so do yourself a favour and pick it up, you won't be disappointed.

Titanfall 2 is a huge improvement over the first game, with one of the best first-person shooter campaigns since Half Life 2. No, really.Following up the multiplayer-only first game, I didn't have high hopes for a single-player Titanfall experience. I couldn't have been more wrong. The story is short and you can complete it in a day, but it manages to achieve so many things in under 8 hours that most shooters don't in twice that time. It's true your character feels like a generic FPS protagonist, but this is remedied by the relationship between Jack and his inherited Titan, BT. The pair quickly become an unstoppable force and the campaign is a roller coaster for the rest of the game. This manages to stay fresh by presenting you with innovative gameplay scenarios and settings that stop this from feeling like a linear, Call of Duty experience. I'll definitely be playing through the story again. The multiplayer is equally excellent, with a fluid, fast pace that makes other shooters feel slow and clunky in comparison. With little practice you will be running along walls, hurling yourself across the maps and sliding into firefights. It feels so cool. Traversing the map becomes fun, and doing so in style is crucial to get the drop on your enemy.Multiplayer is rewarding, too, with new weapons, abilities, skins and other items to unlock as you play. It's one of the best first-person shooters I have played in years.

I was (and still am) a huge fan of the original Titanfall and this just blows that one away in almost every way. The demo they released early this year doesn't do this game justice at all, as they have tweaked and adjusted so much since then. The single player campaign is an utter joy to play. A mix of action packed shoot outs wall running puzzles, with your new 'BFF' titan by your side. Some of the levels are quite ingenious too. Anyhoo, the multilayer is absolutely top notch too. The feeling of power you get when you get into your first titan is incredible. The stomping of your steps and the thundering bass of your chosen weapon is mind blowing. A big shout out must go to the sound design.Fantastic stuff!! Out of your titan your pilot is extremely nimble and again, a joy to control. The action is frantic and extremely satisfying to play. There's a good selection of maps and game modes and the developers have stated that all new ccontent will be free. No season pass needed for this game!! As you can tell, I can not praise this game highly enough. It's fast, fun, loaded to the teeth with content and will keep you entertained for many weeks to come. Just watch a good Titanfall player on YouTube just to see how incredible this game is. There's nothing else quite like it! I hope this helps and happy gaming.

First up I own xbox and PS4 Pro.....now I only got a PS4 for the exclusives but from time to time there's a game worthy of purchased for both platforms .....and yeah the Pro improves framerates and the story is slightly graphically improved over the standard PS4 .....So why buy it well the first game rocked and the second one to have a story.....sign me up.....now lost in translation somewhere they lost a few bits that made the first one stand out .....but the game does not dissapoint....what different than all the other run gun jump slide shooters.....well first up it's fun the gameplay is fluid and solid runs at 60fps which the game needs as its that fast paced....now this next bit you maywant to sit down for.....this game is from EA and yes they have microtransactions but they are just cosmetic .....oh and they do have DLC but respawns have said no to a season pass or charging for the DLC we've already had a map drop and its a remake of Angel City.....but there's more on its way a new playlist and two new maps.....if you like fast paced games like call of duty and fed up with the constant we want more money from you....then ladies and gents this game is for you .....like I would give it 6stars and any fan of the fps genre and you ain't got this tap that buy button, you will not be dissapointed....

A surprize hit for me, never played number one, but I was absolutely blown away by the fast, fluid gameplay, a decent single player experience with a multiplayer that's both fun to play & highly accessible I usually stay away from multiplayer elements preferring single player, but it just has that core gameplay right, with a tonne of great modes, and a solid player base as of 24/12/16 never waited for a match and no silly micro transactions everything is unlockable with experience earned. The first time I got into a Titan it blew me away, something that hasn't happened in a while for me, A challenging while not been to hard-core FPS, just right.Anyone that's on the bench with this should defiantly buy it.It just was a thrill to experience all the different mechs there abilities, the single player experience has so many great elements to it, fluid gunplay, Titan fights, actually a surprisingly good platformer as well, a solid story, the only complaint is that it's short I wanted more by the end but what a ride it was every level was fun and unique.PS4 owners now is the time to get your Titan and get into the action for this is what gaming is pure joy to play & experienceFor me this is a 9/10 always room for improvement but just good quality overall you won't be disappointed

Titanfall 2 is easily the best game I've played this year. The movement is fast paced, "easy to learn, hard to master", and feels incredibly satisfying. The campaign, while short, was full of action (and is good for getting a feel for the game prior to going online) and overall came off as a good investment of my time. The multiplayer however, while fun, is going to be hard to get into for one simple reason. This is a three year old game, and the only people that play it are skilled vets and newbies. And in my experience, the former vastly outnumber the latter. If you aren't taking full advantage of the movement, or just running like this is the latest COD, you'll be dead fast. Now, the Titans. They're cool, but after a while, the novelty starts to wear off. It -does- add spice to the game, but eventually it just becomes another part of the game, nothing more. And don't bother setting your titan to autopilot, it'll be shredded by other players without the AI upgrade, and all that does is take away a skill slot that you could be using to shred other titans faster manually.tl;dr, fast-paced fun FPS with satisfying, rewarding movement, a solid campaign, and multiplayer that's difficult to get into at this point, but fun none the less. I recommend it.

This game completely slipped passed me, I barely saw any advertising for it, after reading a glowing review online about it, I gave it a try. This game has an amazingly well written and designed campaign, that I haven't seen in a long time (especially not in a shooter, not since Modern Warfare, which the founders of Respawn also worked on). While a comparable length to other shooter campaigns, 7-8 hours you get drawn into the setting and gives you a balance between pilot, titan, and platforming/puzzle solving esk game play. The level design is worth mentioning on its own, and stands out as some of the best in recent years, with elements of game play making some stand out whilst others are almost labyrinthine in layout it makes for a thourghly enjoyable and challenging campaign. The multiplayer is quick paced with a fairly steep learning curve but the 'training' is provided to get the hang of it, such as the time trail in the campaign, and Pilot vs Pilot matchmaking which helps to introduce you to a different style of playing.Worthwhile purchase especially with the added benefit that any game changing DLC will be free unlike most games these day. Don't let this one slip pasted like it almost did for me.

One of the few games I've played recently where I couldn't stop playing the campaign mode. It had major playability, endless hours of fun juting about with the double jump and running along walls and mountain-sides. Guns were surprisingly satisfying to use for alien-type space weapons. Only problem was bad guys were very very easy to kill, and AI quite non-intelligent. Another qeird thing I noticed, when you'd come up against an enemy Titan and you realise you have very little health and there are no "batteries" left nearby, you keep getting killed over and over and respawning to last check point and you think how am I ever gonna beat this guy with so little health (as you respawn with same health and goodies in proximity),on the 11th or so go each time it seems to automatically dumb down the enemy, or make them easier to kill - happens every time - and all of a sudden it goes from a ten minute battle to a 10 second walkover. Very annoying that. But loved the game, so much fun to play, graphics and scenery are gorgeous, I thought campaign was reasonable length too, and I still have multiplayer mode to look forward to! Would probably buy the sequel if they were to make one.
