Massive amount of engineering goes into these things. Lots of small pieces not good for little ones (or bare feet) but find a good place to build and your kid will love it.

Every year we deck our fireplace mantel with Lego santas, and the one thing they lacked was a fireplace just their size. It will brighten our holiday for years to come.
