It is a great game, with only very minor issues. Here is a detailed review of my experience with it so far.9/10Pros:Great graphics and lighting, good artcompelling story IMO (at least in relation to many other FPS games, keep in mind too, that I am interested in this type of thing, nano-biotech stuff, and alien invasion)Highly immersiveFun gameplaygood/smooth animationsCons:Slight frame rate issuesa few Texture Pop inssome AI bugsa couple animation glitchesThe Pros far out weigh all of the cons this game produces. As far as texture pop in, it is only noticeable if you have a trained eye for it, or you are looking for it. Otherwise there is enough going on that you likely wont notice a texture pop.Framerate issues are the same and in no way detracted from my first play through. AI is usually spot on and quite a bit better than most games, but every once in a while an enemy will just be walking into a wall, or something else strange. Doesn't really detract too much, but it happens. I have seen some weird animations like gabbing a guy by the foot, and then suddenly I have him by the neck as it is supposed to be. Or else I saw a guy shift through a wall and then shift right back into my room the middle of a melee fight.None of these things were huge concerns for me, as they are pretty common in many games with large scale and a lot going on, and they are surprisingly not as common as some reviews were making them out to be. In fact the larger the scale, the more bugs you will see. Just look at fallout 3. Either way, the pro's far outweigh the cons as I have said. The graphics are great, especially the lighting. The story is pretty cool and it is highly immersive, as it is told entirely from first person perspective. Some of the ways the camera moves to look at things and stuff is all pretty highly believable. Now on my second play-through I am really enjoying the story of the nano-suit; which is really what the story is about. I didn't quite understand what all went on with some of the ending parts, but it is mostly coherent, and IMO quite cool (I don't know, I think Nanotech and Biotech are really cool and the Nano-suit is a really cool idea with it's own artificial intelligence.). It is really fun to have the nanosuit at your disposal as you try to stop the alien invasion. The AI is some of the best I have seen. I played through on veteran and had a pretty standard FPS experience in terms of difficulty, but it isn't difficult because some the AI can just spot you and have a lock on, it is difficult because sometime the AI will put you in a sticky situation, or, because you put yourself there. It isn't so much running and gunning as it is tactically determining how you want to accomplish your goal, as you have to maintain energy levels. It isn't a hard game per say (even on the hardest difficulty), you just have to be careful, in which case it can be quite easy. I am playing through again on super soldier and enjoying it even more.An example of the AI: At one point, I killed two guys fairly discreetly, and generally the guy up on this bridge will spot you and start shooting at you, so I turned and noticed him running instead, I followed him a bit in stealth mode, and found that he ended up calling over and grouping up with another group of soldiers behind some traffic barriers in a fairly defensible position. Not super unique I know, but it is pretty dynamic, because they definitely don't do the same thing every time.I have only briefly tried the Multiplayer, but it seems pretty good so far and doesn't seem to lag as much even though I have bad internet. When I get some better internet I will really be able to see, but it seems to have better netcode than games like COD BO where I can't even play online because the lag is so frustrating on my bad internet. Needless to say I was pretty surprised it ran as well as it did when I played yesterday. It was all very smooth. There are likely to be some balance issues this early on, but almost any game will have that to start, that is why they patch games these days. And as far as that goes it didn't seem that imbalanced as far as I saw. I can't really give a good review of the Multiplayer so you'll have to read elsewhere. I'll try to remember to update this when I get better internet late spring/early summer. So all in all, it was a stellar game. If you have a PC that can run it buy it on that. If you have an XBOX 360, I have heard it runs better on that. The PS3 game runs fairly smoothly though so if you do not have any other system, like me, I assure you, you are not missing out. Although, I would be interested to see it running on DX11 on PC. It is supposed to look super good. I am amazed at the realism presented on the PS3, the "worst" of the three versions, so I cannot even imagine how it looks on a high end PC. I would give this game a 9/10 or even a tiny bit higher like a 9.2. The only reasons to take off points are for graphical and AI bugs, glitches, and errors, which are quite seldom, and really didn't detract from the experience I had / that I am having (also, give me a break, what game doesn't have slight graphics and AI bugs?). Another area to take points off is the slightly short campaign. I finished in 8 hrs or so, It could have been close to 9 cause I didn't really look, but still. I would like to see games that are at least 15 hours long, so that is where that comes from. Some people prefer the 7-10 hour thing, and then jumping into the multiplayer, so if that is you, then this is perfect. I realize it is hard for developers to deliver a solid action packed and interesting 15+ hour experience, but I am sick of developers skimping on single player. not that they skimped on this, there are some truly spectacular set pieces and such, but that seems to be the trend these days, shorter and shorter single player games, because multiplayer is where the business is at right now, that is what people want. I am just a bit ticked because Crytek claimed it was a 13 or so hr experience. Maybe I finished it quickly but I really don't think so, it is a 7-10 hr thing I think, which is decent, but I want more. Perhaps there will be some single player DLC down the road, that would be pretty cool.

The majority of the buzz around Crysis 2 has been around the game as a technological achievement, and it absolutely is. It is one of the best looking games I've played on my PS3. Manhattan in the aftermath of a devastating alien attack gave the developers a very interesting landscape to work with and they delivered in spades. The set pieces are huge, the environments gorgeous and detailed, and the lighting is some of the best I've ever seen. Not only visually, but the games audio is incredible as well. The sounds of your gunshots echoing down the abandoned, skyscraper-flanked streets of the city feel visceral, noises come at you from every corner, and the explosions rumble deep and clear. However, what impressed me about Crysis 2 even more than its incredible audio and visual delights was the way the absolutely superb single player campaign was designed. While the game is linear, each battlefield is designed in a very "open" fashion (for lack of a better word), almost like a series of sandbox/open world missions. You are given many options when determining how you want to accomplish your objective, both by the way the area is laid out, and by the tools that your Nanosuit provides you to assess and overcome the situation. Do you want to sneak by the enemies in stealth mode, or use stealth to get in for the close, hit and run kill? Do you want to flank? Go in with guns blazing? Attack from above? Use the turret on the other side of the battlefield? This is where Crysis 2 truly stands out from the rest of the pack. This is a unique concept for console first person shooters, and I hope that other developers take note of what Crytek did here, as it makes the game much more interesting and gives it a greater replay value.Unfortunately, an element of the excellent single player campaign is also the sole weak spot of the game, and that is enemy AI. While overall I would not hesitate to recommend the game to everyone, as the AI is not a big enough problem to warrant otherwise, there are times in the game where the AI is just baffling, particularly when you are fighting the human enemies in the game. They will behave unnaturally after getting shot, will run in place against a wall, or quickly forget about you after you put a good dent into their health. For a game that is so technically brilliant and polished in pretty much every other area that you can count, it's stunning to me that these AI issues are present. Again, the whole game isn't like this and these occurrences are not extremely frequent, but it happened enough where I felt I had to deduct a star from my review. In addition to the robust, lengthy single player campaign, Crysis 2 also has a very enjoyable online multiplayer mode that has been taking up more and more of my time lately. For those of you that have played any of the new school Call of Duty games, that is the closest comparison I can make. It is a more fast-paced, run & gun-type of competitive multiplayer that relies more on quick reflexes and individual skill than on team strategy. It has a similar leveling system where the more you play (and the better you do), the more XP you get which allow you to upgrade yourself and your weapons in various ways. How it differs from Call of Duty is that all players get a Nanosuit, which gives them the cloaking and enhanced armor abilities to bring into the combat. The nature of the Nanosuit, with allows players to jump higher and launch diving attacks from above, has led to the creation of a fantastic set of maps that incorporate much more verticality than the COD maps and make for some really chaotic and enjoyable multiplayer battles. While I don't think that Crysis 2's multiplayer will become the go-to multiplayer of choice and give the COD franchise a run for its money, it's still a very good time that is different from the other stuff out there. All in all, Crysis 2 is an excellent game that is only slightly marred only by some faults in the single player AI. The single player campaign is one of the best in any FPS this generation, and the multiplayer is deep and extremely fun. Well worth the purchase.

I know all about the fuzz when this one was announced. People where waiting for a game that pushes the visual boundary that was his predecessor. I have to confess I didn't played the first one but one part on a friend's house on his PC. We agree the first one is a total graphic whore and still is the benchmark of many current Nvidias and Radeons (from AMD, former Ati). I had no expectation about this sequel, I just wanted the ride. Many people can complain about the final state of the CryEngine 3 on PC. But I still wanted to get my hands on Crysis 2 on PS3.My verdict: It's a stunner on consoles not only for its graphic, but also on the whole package... I liked what I saw.Having NYC for battlefield is somewhat typical in movies, but playing in one is another story. I know why it plays so much like CoD, but here you are one man army. Story is typical stuff for alien invasion, but the whole thing revolves around you and you Nanosuit 2.0 given to you by Prophet (from the first Crysis) before commiting suicide. Though I have to admit the plots is forgettable and most of the characters, save for Prophet and Jacob Hargreave, another major character, are nonrelevant or even dislikable. (Jeez, I really hate Nathan Gould!)Gameplay is what we would expect in any FPS, but the Nanosuit gives it an edge of strategy, because your enemies won't rest until they mow you down. Soldiers are relentless, but the Ceph (the alien enemies) are far superior opponents, way smart and ruthless. Playing on the Supersoldier difficulty (like I did) ramps things up, without getting frustrating. I dare you to begin with that setting. You can go stealth, bulletproof, fast and furious or even more powerful. And even you can get upgrades when you take down those Cephs, whose samples are the "currency" used for those. Stealth is strong on this one especially when taking down your foes from behind. One last thing about gameplay: it's the first game where you can slide-and-gun. Can you find that on CoD? It's a game that's fun to play. Not to mention you can upgrade your weapons. On the technical side, it has a stunning look for a console game. Maybe not as great as Crysis on PC, but it looks great. NYC in the middle of chaos never looked so good, and the Ceph design is outstanding. I noticed some popping on certain areas and they're not textures, but objects instead. The weapons look good and don't feel out of balance. The sound is great and crisp, especially for those weapons, and other FX like the echos of your gunfire and when you die. The soundtrack is wonderful, well suited for the epic tone of the single player campaign without reaching the excesses of a Michael Bay movie.Thank God the MP portiion is not online-passed, even though i have the limited edition of the game and i didn't spend much time due to some internet constraint in my country, as well as not gotten into the online play on consoles. Still it's very fun to play, rewarding and flexible. Maybe it's CoD standard stuff, but i liked what I saw. It's a very good game. It's a shame lots of people were expecting the Holy Grail from Crytek, but ended up complaining for going cross-platform on the graphics' end, but it's not a disappointment. I think it's more enjoyable than its predecessor and more fun to play.As I told you before... I like what i saw!

First of all, let me make this clear for all of those people who are reviewing that this game is incomparable to the PC version. I agree! I don't have $1000 to spend on a pc to make this game work to admire the graphics. Yeah, call me cheap and poor, but there other things in my life where my hard earned money goes to. As for the PS3, the graphics are amazing. I've played Killzone 3, Battlefield: BC 2, Uncharted 2, AC 3, and all of the Call of duty series. I would have to say, this game as the second best graphics behind Uncharted 2. I don't know what more you can ask from a multi-platform game. Just look at the disastrous COD:BO.Campaign- I must say the campaign is good so far (only half way through). The good part about it is how long it takes to complete it. All of the COD campaigns were relatively short although they had excellent stories. One aspect I like about the single player is that you can go through a whole level being undetected or blow up the entire block like Rambo. That makes the game so much more fun than the linear aspect of gameplay from COD and BF.Multiplayer- Caution! I will compare this game to COD because that is my gaming background. The multiplayer is what I originally bought this game for. I played the demo and was not impressed at all. When I played the REAL and final version, the multiplayer is so much more fun. I am a very competitive COD: BO player, meaning I play the game to win. I found myself raging at how poor the online play is to start with and the horrible lag and frame rate skip just adds more fuel to the fire. At first I thought it was because of my slow connection, but when I played COD: MW2 and Crysis 2, I have great connection and play mostly lag free. Although there are some cloaking noobs in multiplayer, the gameplay overall is very fun. I like how everybody is given the same abilities to start off with, so that nobody can get made that people are walking around with cloak (aka Ghost Pro) and maximum armor (juggernaut pro).-The pace of the game is also what makes the game fun. The maps are perfectly sized and the random spawn works perfectly in this game. The only negative I have about this game is the apparent frame rate problem in multiplayer. I haven't ran across this too much, but it has happened to me a couple of times.Overall, I would say this game is awesome! It's a great break from COD and I'm glad I took a chance on this game. I didn't want to become one of those players that only plays COD and misses out on all of the other great games. For those who need a break from COD and need something to hold you over until BF3 or MW3, definitely check this game out. I admit I was a COD fanboy, but now I see what I would have missed if I kept telling myself "see this game is nowhere as fun as BO", as many people who gave this game a negative review.p.s: This my first time reviewing a game. I had to do it to back up my argument against all of those people trying to discourage others from buying this game.

Let me start off by saying that I'm not a PC gamer so I never played the original Crysis. When they announced that Crysis 2 would also be released on consoles, I was definitely interested as I remember the original game got high review scores and everyone also raved about the graphics. From my limited time playing this evening, this is a very good FPS and incredible graphics (I'm playing the PS3 version & I would put the graphics on the same level as Killzone or Uncharted). With most shooters, you can pretty much jump in and get the hang of things because they are mostly similar and have almost identical controller layouts. Crysis 2 is different.I made the mistake of jumping straight into multiplayer without playing the single player campaign so I had no idea how to use the various powers associated with your nanosuit. In short, I got owned in my first game. I then went and played the single player campaign for about an hour until I was comfortable with the nanosuit and activing it's various powers (stealth, armor, power, etc.). When I jumped back into multiplayer I was able to do a lot better. Armor and stealth are the two nanosuit powers that people seem to use most in multiplayer and they are conveniently mapped to the L2 and R2 buttons to activate. I prefer to use armor myself but it seems like most people use stealth. Up and down on the d-pad also activate your nano-visor and infrared vision (I forget what's it actually called in the game). I haven't come across any need to use the nano-visor or infrared vision in multiplayer because it's pretty fast paced, but you will use them a lot in the single player campaign. Power on your nanosuit is automatically applied when sprinting (you sprint faster) and jumping (holding the X button makes you jump higher to climb up ledges). R3 is your basic melee command but if you hold down R3 you can perform a power kick (kick cars down the street, etc.) The nanosuit powers are pretty balanced because they drain the energy level of the suit, so you are only able to use them for a brief period of time. The energy level is drained depending on how much you are using a certain power. For example, using the stealth power while sprinting will drain your suit energy much faster than using stealth while moving slowly or standing still. Overall, this is a very good futuristic/sci-fi type shooter with fun multiplayer. Other reviews I've read have also mentioned that the campaign is about 11-12 hours long so you'll definitely get your money worth with this game.

Crysis always sets a benchmark.Crysis 1 set a benchmark on openworld FPS and graphics.Crysis 2 sets the benchmark on how fun, real world like and beautiful a console game can be.My name is now Prophet and i am a fanboy for Crysis. Been hearing the main theme music repeatedly for a long time, cant get enough of the awesomeness. Google/youtube "dDAxUtIodXw" for the songIn short extremely enjoyed the single player in hardest difficulty where a few bullets (around 3-4) can kill you. The beautiful "real world like" environment i have never seen in any other game till Crysis 2 on ps3. Xbox 360 seems to have slightly crispier clearer graphics but PS3 is almost there.I liked the story better than MW or BFBC because of the beauty and the awesomeness of the game.On hardest and second hardest difficulties the AI is good at cornering you if you draw attention by killing one. The human cell ops are a little dumb but a few bullets can kill you. The best way to kill all cellops is to act as predator cloaked in waiting and using silenced hits to head. The Alien AI is more advanced in that once you kill one of them they seem to find and point to your position and fire at you even if cloaked. 50cal HMG always works best to kill any and all aliens which are harder to kill and cell ops as well if you wanna take it easy. Its upto you how you wanna play, not kill anyone or kill everything that moves. The way tackle enemies you decide. You can even play like you are playing Snake in MGS4.Multiplayer is just as good, if you are bored with CoD/BFBC games, get this game. The invisibilty cloak redefines FPS gaming and it works beautifully in Multiplayer, even better than KillZone3's infiltrator cloak. Multiplayer is like Halo for real men. The only thing that annoys me about Crysis2 is "Somebody shut that hag that says I dont pay you to lose" in multiplayer. The choice of guns is lacking when compared to COD/BFBC. Buts its fine, the suit itself is a weapon. Never gonna give you up, Never gonna trade you in ever. Crysis needs more fanboys. Ahh the beauty of sunlight and real world lighting, so good eye candy. Not even Uncharted 2 comes close to the real world feel of Crysis2 graphics.Cons:Needed a bit more boss fights.Needs earlier cloaked-alien fightsNeeds AI fixing to avoid all AI from moving to your direction.Needs open world unscripted fun like Crysis1Needs more single player maps/modes - dont let the fun end.

For all you pc gamers out there, im huge fan of all the crytek games, i own an xbox (now made completely redundant by a new 6950!!) and this has got to be one of the best games out there that everyone can enjoy. Crytek set out to create a fps that takes the consoles games to a new level, by introducing their unique characters and style of gameplay into a fully immersing, exciting experience of what gaming is about. And my god they absolutely nailed it!! Crytek deserve the uppermost respect for creating such a smooth running game, playable on all platforms with the quality of graphics only previously available on pcs. The graphics, although not as far advanced as what is usually expected from crytek, are extremely well optimised which still makes it even more enjoyable for people who don't have the money for a top of the line gaming machine.Although, what can only be described as mix of the original farcry and modern warfare, they have combined the two styles into something that really is the best of both, and still very much a crytek game. However, a lot of crysis's personality has been lost due to the lack of open environments and the modern warfare style elements, but the overall affect is something that is so enjoyable that it really makes up for it. I have to say, as a pc gamer at heart, It can't be compared to crysis because of the linear gameplay. It is something else. But whatever crytek have created is seriously good. There are a lot of levels to make up for the reduced map size, that make it just as immersing. It took me a full 2 days to complete it, not one to just plough through games as its good to take some time to appreciate all the hard work. If I was to though, it is still a fairly long game and never gets boring. The cinematics are amazing, the soundtrack is incredible (made by the same composer who did the dark knight), and its great fun using the suit powers and blowing up aliens with the microwave gun!! For all you pc gamers out there, please stop your whining over it not being crysis, its different yes, but still a brilliant piece of work. Crytek, I hope that all gamers out there will cut you some slack and give you all the respect you deserve. My girlfriend does now hate me for the amount of time I have been playing it, but it was definitely worth it!!! I'm now off to get my ass kicked on the seriously addictive multiplayer so with that, quit ur whining guys and have some fun!!!!

Since I'm an exclusive online gamer, I don't play single-player campaigns. There are several other reviews of Crysis 2 if you'd like to read about that.As for multiplayer online gaming, Crysis 2 seriously delivers. The maps are stunning, large and incredibly dynamic. While I've played many games in the last few years, this is the one where my wife reacted with 'wow' to the high definition graphics and fluid character interactions. Within a few hours of play, I had climbed air conditioning vents, power-kicked cars and shot a glass ceiling beneath me to surprise an unwitting opponent below. Truly great stuff and the feel is incredible. Guns show a diversity of advantages (range, ammo size, sights)and are well-balanced. The biggest thing to adapt to in this game is the nanosuit, which you will learn to love. The nanosuit uses energy, which is separate from health, and allows you to do perform key skills. In the midst of the battle, it can provide extra armor against damage. When moving across open field, it can cloak and render you undetectable to enemy vision or heat maps. And then when you need a speed boost or big jump, your nanosuit is there for you. I'm a big call of duty fan (modern warfare, MW2, Black Ops) and until Crysis 2, I had been skeptical of futuristic gaming. I bought Killzone 3 earlier this year but was ultimately let down online. Crysis' nanosuit opens up a whole new dimension of play though, and I have not been disappointed.I expect the online community for this game to pick up substantially. The diversity of skills and guns favor teamwork, and if you like playing with friends online, this is the game for you. Have one guy stay in a watchtower and ping opponents in the distance for the whole team to see. Customize your classes and nanosuit skills so you've got the right mixture or stealth, defense and aggression. Of course, you've also got the standard audio feed for your team, but unlike other games, the computer alerts in Crysis are really helpful...and sometimes shocking...I've never had a a game authentically swear in combat until this one.I'm not the most intense online gamer, but I can see myself logging lots of hours with Crysis 2. The best multiplayer online FPS that I've seen to date. Maybe MW3 can top it later this year, but Crysis is setting a new bar until then. Cheers, John

after a couple hours i was very delighted w/ what i saw as far as the graphics and overall gameplay.the controls are just as a cod game w/ some nano toggling / visor etc buttons.when i have seen games that have been rated 5 stars after a short campaign and better than average multiplayer i am going to give crysis 2 5 stars not only because its been a sound / all one can expect in a great f.p.s and also on the simple fact that this blows away homefront and other games which have received 5 stars which in my opinion is nonsense.. 5 stars is a complete package.. a long but good campaign w/ a just as good multiplayer to fall back on, not the other way around..this game has been under heavy fire and alot of things didnt add up to me..how certain games got great reviews 2 weeks before even being played where this game had slivers and bits scattered out on the web but mostly bad opinions and graphic issues , console comparison issues etc. today being release day its being hailed as 9/10 , 5 out of 5, game of the year 2011 thumbs up, and to be quite honest this game looks to be just that 2011 goty as long as it keeps its pace through out the campaign.. challenging on soldier / medium difficulty. rather than some games medium is easy and easy is close eyes and shoot..to those who gave up this game because of all the hype , you are missing out..no game is perfect, always find a this or that but with this game you really have to squint and look for them.. as far as ps3/360 well the pros and cons are so minute that it what ever console you have will be the one to deliver a good solid game..my friend got a midnight release and said simply" i fckn love this game, finally it doesnt feel like i threw money away" i understood exactly how he feels and what he meant. this game delivers on all fronts.. not perfection but close to it as far as "the whole package and value"my friend is 9 hours in and too a break , im 3 hours in and its about time after feeling let down and buying on hype and hopes.. i bought this one knowing it was going to be good..i never gave in to some of the bogus preview reviews..a winner. if you think k3 or homefront was a 5 star then this will enlighten you as far as what we should get in a game. this is based on ps3 console

I sold all my games anticipating all the first quarter releases this year, it paid off. I banked it all on Crysis 2. Ever since E3 I was most impressed by the gameplay vids of this game over all the others. Few were on board with Crysis 2, now it seems they see what I saw. Complaints about the first version were that it was just graphics and the plats wouldn't be able to handle the power of the game as effectively that the PC version would; well it handles it quite well actually. The single player is a blast, and I usually rush through the single player not giving it much attention. However, Crysis 2 is different. They call it an open sandbox. You can attack levels like a sandbox, but the common objectives remain it's not all done on tracks you can choose your route through the levels. It's not easy. The levels start easy and get increasingly harder as you move on throughout the level, there's so much replayability. The MP is fantastic as well. You're going to hate it at first because it takes time to get down, and you'll get pawned, so I'm adjusting. EDIT; honestly you max out at level 50 that's when i got it down. That's about it. It's just a fantastic game SP & MP, a great package deal, both clearly worth your money and time. On MP once you level up past 10 you jump into a fire of rank 11 to infinity ranked players it will take some hard lessons, but in due time you'll get it right.Caution: I had to fool with my TV controls to get the picture just right. I changed my Sony Bravia to Vivid, and Full Screen and the brightness turned down to 25 or below. I don't remember a game being this sensitive to picture adjusting, but it looks like night and day. I've never really fooled with it before Crysis 2 but the levels were so dark otherwise. I remember I wasn't as jazzed about U2 as everyone else was, I wish I would have thought to adjust my TV, Doh!*Trick to mastering this game is to steath around without going max speed using cover, and switch to armor while firing. If you fire while in steath it drains your stealth so use your suit wisely, eventually it will become second hand. This is a GOTY nominee to me, it's a 10/10. As of 7/8/11 this is still the best game of 2011 so far IMO.

After watching all of the positive reviews I decided to give Crysis 2 a chance. Crysis 2 is pretty good. It starts off a bit slow, but a few hours into the campaign the action really starts to pick up. Graphically this game is outstanding with terrific lighting effects. The Cry engine 3 really does a superb job with environmental lighting. The controls are smooth and easy to get used to. I never played the first Crysis, but got used to the controls in about a hour into the campaign. The story is good and gets better halfway through. All the textures are smooth and I did not notice any pixelated walls anywhere. The city environments are massive and the graphics look spectacular. The insides of the buildings have lots of detail and look great. One of the things that really impressed me was that this game is not linear and allows you to climb around to attack enemies at different angles. The campaign has much more player freedom to move around the levels to attack your enemies. I am playing this on a 1080p plasma tv and using a 120 gig PS3 Slim. I saw some minor texture pops only a few times and a frame rate drop once or twice, but really did not interfere with my overall gameplay. The campaign is much longer than most FPS games out there and I think this game is well worth the money especially from amazon with the promotional credit. In my opinion Killzone 3 does have much better graphics, but this game still looks good. Crysis 2 has the same textures and graphics through out the game. It seems like they did a lot of cutting and pasting graphics. No wonder it only takes 5 or so gigs of space on blue ray. Killzone 3 uses around 42 gig of disc space due to the graphic detail, animations and variety of environments...oh yeah and the beautiful CG videos.I would not judge this game by the multi-player demo that was released, it did this game no justice. I played the demo and the finished copy is 10 times better.

This review is done having only completed half or so of the campaign and i have yet to try mp due to psn being down. I will update when finished. First off graphics are indeed exceptional, even though to me its not a real big deal. The game does start off a little bit slow. Cloak mode makes early part of game a bit too easy in that you can just walk by enemies without being noticed. However, once you get going game really picks up. I would recommend this game it is really different. Below is a summary.Negatives: some glitchesotoo easy early oncannot pass thru cutscenes, this will diminish replayability to me,even though i willreplay thisa couple of spots where not sure where to go i hate this in video gamesPositives: great graphicsinteresting game play and options for a fpsdepth and lengthdifferent ways to approach enemiesreally fun, better than kz2 much better than all cod, way better than mgs4story is solid but a bit hard to followcloaking can be good but its too easy at firstAddition just added: finished game and have started multiplayer.Game gets better as you go on.You cannot just rely on stealth you do actually hacw to fight latter on in game and this is good. I do really like that sometimes stealth other times fighting is way to go. this is a really good game, i wished first few missions didn't drag so much however. Multiplayer looks good but similar to others. Nothing really new, i wished there was more teamwork to fight bosses or something as a group and not just a frag fest as all fps seem to be.

I have really enjoyed playing this game. The campaign seems to be of decent length which is lacking in most games as of late.I'm one of those dinosaurs that prefer single player over online play.Graphics are fantastic with very little lag.Smoke rises real like.Debris falls in the same way.I'm not from NYC but it looks like the Developers did their homework on locations.Explosions look great also.Sound is good all weapons sound different. Background noise is life like.Gameplay is fun this game shines compared to COD.The boards are big enough to allow flanking.Players can chose stealth or go in blazing.I like how one can customize weapons with optics, sound supressors etc.One can also customize theNano-suit.There is alot of extras in this game one can find dog tags,NYC trinkets.Players also get a chance to drive vehicles in this game.Enemy AI is good, they will try to suppress you and flank.I did find find sometimes enemies would just stand and let you shoot them. All in all the AI will give you a run for your money. The story is well written and one does not have to play the other games to understand what is going on.Of the new 2011 games I recommend Crysis 2 and Bulletstorm they both have fun campaigns and great graphics. If you have a PS3 do yourself a favor and get Crysis 2.You will not be disappointed this game is worth every cent.I predict Crysis 2 might win game of the year which would be well deserved.I'm really glad I bought this game.Players of all skills will enjoy this game from casual to hard-core.

I'll keep this short. The Good: The campaign on Crysis 2 is nice, graphics like details and lighting are pretty darn good. Runs very smooth, weapons have a feel between Call of duty and Halo. The nano suit is what makes this game cool because you have to use it smartly. You can turn that baby to full protection but if you run or shoot it starts to get weaker. The Multiplayer is one fun part of Crysis 2. It plays like a fast paced Halo but with more perks. You get to upgrade your suit, unlock and upgrade your weapons. I was getting owned the first few times I played online, but once you start to upgrade and ranking up the game play is more leveled. The Bad: There are some glitches on the campaign that are not bad enough to put this game down, but are there nonetheless. I have seen the AI hide behind a wall and while I am shooting at it its like they fly up in the air for a second then come down. LOL Its hard to explain it but I will post a video. Also, for some reason I experienced sound breaking on a few scenes at the beginning. It could be my set up, who knows, but I havent experienced that in any of my other games. Nothing bad to say about the multiplayer because as of this writing I have not seen or had any glitches, nor connection issues. That part of the game is Gold. This game is definitely worth it. It's sad to say but I got bored of Killzone 3 within 2 hours of playing it. This one here is keeping me coming back for more.

Single player review only.I shall avoid any loading, protection or technical stuff, this review is about playing it.You play a new guy in the suit, this time you are in a New York under alien attack, although there are some bad guy soldiers to take out too. The story has links to the previous, but to be honest does not make a massive amount of sense although that does not matter really - each mission is clear and involves plenty of action and use of the suits enhancements. This time suit abilities (cloak, strength etc) are controlled by keys rather than the mouse and you can increase your abilities by collecting alien residue once you have wasted them. It's great fun and feels long enough to justify the expense,no rip off short single player game here. The suit allows you to adopt your preferred game style, be it stealthy or guns blazing and there is sufficient opportunity to play the game your way within the structured objectives. The city graphics and feel was good and a fun environment to play around it, and the game has managed to avoid a few of the generic "city shooter" problems that can make you feel you have been there and done it many times before. After some recent duds (Black Ops, I'm talking about YOU) this was great fun and a blast from beginning to end. An excellent addition to a great FPS series.
