First night I did a mock setup with wires running from the DVR unit (sitting next to the wifi router in our bedroom) under the rug to the front window, taped the camera to the blinds pointing outside (only worked in the pouch light otherwise I got an infrared reflection off the glass) and a second camera ran the wire along the wall through the kitchen pointing out the back door window same as the front. Worked great for a couple days till I had a day off to do a more permanent installation. Here are some tips:Plan on mounting the DVR away from bedrooms as it does make a little noise as it runs, like a fan or harddrive revving up. I mounted the DVR to the wall behind the drawers in the hall closet.This way its hidden from intruders and any sounds from DVR are muffled. To do this I purchased 25' HDMI cable and CAT 6 cable that I ran from the closet under the house and back up to the TV and Router. Also i had a wireless mouse installed on the DVR that i use from the livingroom couch and view on the big screen. Cameras were easily mounted under the roof eves and the wires easily fished through the attic vents in the eves then ran down through the closet to the DVR. I had a receptical in the attic that I used to power each camera. Love the whole system so much the next day added on two more cameras 6 total w/room for 2 more some other day. The home system works great on the couch with my wireless mouse, crystal clear images, tones of settings and options to program. The app on my phone is great with remote viewing and push notifications when the PIR sensor detects motion. With the push notifications I don't need to view the cam I can easily tell if someone is coming or going to the house by the order in which the cameras send notifications. The app is not perfect a bit glitchy could have to do with my cell/wifi service depending on my location. A couple days ago push notifications stopped working then I got home and finally received a days worth of notifications in 5 seconds (ding,ding,ding,ding,ding,ect.).Still working on getting the push notifications to work again.Also the DVR wont take my email address keeps saying username or password is incorrect? Still for the price this is a great system and after a recent break into our house I definitely feel much safer for my whole family.

I'm glad I got this CCTV kit. I wanted to add sound but I couldn't find a CCTV kit with sound and I wanted expansion. My old CCTV kit had 4 wireless cameras with no expansion and no sound. This kit has a 1 terabyte hard drive already installed so that saves £50 and it's installed ready to go. The DVR connects to your router and the cameras wire up to the DVR (cables supplied). The cameras are light and seem very well made. They're also slightly wider angle than my old ones so I can cover more of my property removing the need for another camera. (using the mouse wheel, you can zoom the image). Night vision is fantastic. One microphone can be added via the RCA connection at the back of the DVR and assigned to one of the cameras.The system is much much better than my old wireless one and it comes with long white camera cables. The image is steady and clear. With the cameras being wired there's no loss of picture or jumps in the recording. The addition of sound completes the security of my home. I feel more confident now that whatever happens outside my home will be caught on camera. The app works great too and doesn't require a master’s degree in computing to get it up and running... Once you've learned how the app works the picture on your phone is clear and can be zoomed in (wherever you are). I would recommend this kit it's a practical deterrent, user friendly and will gather the evidence you need. There are alarms and email settings you can use and there's also the option to upload evidence images should you need it.

Easy to set up and good quality pictures, even at night. A couple of things let it down though. 1- the cameras have bnc fittings which require a 14mm hole to pass through. There’s no need for that type of fitting when something as small as a phono plug would have done the same job. There’s a bnc at both ends of the cable. I can understand it being at the dvr side for a secure fit but at the camera end any smaller fitting would have sufficed. 2- the cameras have infra-red for night time surveillance. It’s my understanding that infra-red is an invisible light. So why do cameras that are supposed to protect your property light up like a beacon with about 10 LEDs when infra-red is activated?No chance whatsoever of filming someone secretly. Also if you have one set up in your living room, as soon as it gets to dusk the lights are in your face distracting you. Overall a great system and easy to fit and use but let down by poor thought and design.

I bought this system after looking at the reviews, Picture quality is really excellent. You receive notifications to your smartphone immediately when someone enters your property. Just 3 things I would advise when setting up is Make sure the camera is angled away from your property as I found I installed them in the day and at night I couldn’t see a thing as the IR was reflecting off the house but Once angled correctly the picture was excellent it’s like daytime at night One other thing is if you have a boiler flue coming out your wall move the camera away from it as the camera detects heat source and you will get notifications when the heating kicks in And lastly I found is a shame that thecameras are only in white as I have black fascias Other than this I’m very happy with the product

Very easy to setup, only need a screw driver and a drill. Everything you need is in the box, from the screws to the HDMI cable.2 x power cables are used, one to power the cameras the other for the recording box.The app is simple to setup as well, step by step guide is provided but don't really need to use them. You are able to zoom in while in live view on the app and using the mouse for the box.Very pleased so far.

This simply is the best system i have used,views of my house are stunning ,from front to back,easy setup,catches everything that comes to close for comfort,brilliant night vision,the things you see by infra red ,amazing,emails easy, can watch my house from my mobile where ever i am,this is amazing,brilliant,easy ,what more do you want out of a security system.

Cameras are easy to install. The instructions are a bit vague and you need to do a fair bit of digging to understand how the push notifications work. They seem to be a bit hit and miss. Other than that, they do what they say. Not great quality but enough to protect your home or business.

I purchased this CCTV system to replace my Yale i got about 4years ago after having the police in to view criminals that were on the run and the pictures were rubbish now the upgrade is 100% better and heat sensored,the only problem is everything being White in colour

Exceptional pictures night and day. Set up was straight forward. We drilled 1 hole in pvc by window and all wires came back to same place. System is easy to use. This website had issues allowing me to upload photos, sorry on behalf of Very everyone!

Glad I've bought them. My property is protected at last. Only issue I did find was the wires are not long enough on a couple of the cameras for where I needed to put them. Very easy to install. Overall a good producr

Everything works well, video quality is good! Not got anything to complain about. Records video image when it detects movement and is definitely worth the money.
