i bought this camera 2 weeks ago 2 of them ,and my overall conclusion is that they are worth buying. Not only do they have great image in the day time but also in the night time and to top it up, they look high quality and they feel high quality. Installation is straight forward but make sure that you get the hive app and not the one that is called Hive Camera because that is for the older version. The one negative is that sometimes for some reason, they disconnect from the network and as soon as it disconnected from the network you receive an email from hive telling you that. it never takes longer than 1 min to be back online and it happened once in a few days.

I bought this Smartistic camera to watch over my dogs through the day and keep an eye on me crib, but it is so versatile, I’ve already found hundreds of other uses for it too. Video quality is top notch and the ability to set detection sensitivity for sound and movement is amazing. The stand is superb - magnetic, rotates 360 any angle you want. Long power lead - works wireless for up to an hour and can be moved anywhere in the house. 24 hours of rolling footage is saved automatically using app.

The design is good, the price is quite high, the set-up reasonably easy and the functionality is good. However the camera communicates direct to a router rather than via the Hive hub as other Hive elements do, and it seems less receptive to the wifi signal than my other devices. It either has to be quite close to the router or communicate via a wifi extender, neither of which currently position it appropriately. The result is that I can't use it in full HD mode due to upload constraints.

Bought so we could keep an eye on our new puppy while at work. Easy to set up especially as we already use Hive lights etc. Great that you can zoom in and get alerts when there's movement or noise. My only issue is the feature of being able to remove the main camera from the stand. It comes off really easily even if you just wish to move the camera. This is easily overcome though if I remember the hold it by the bottom of the stand instead of the top.

Feels well made and a simple, stylish design. Easy to set up. Had a small issue with one of the cameras during initial set up and was able to obtain online help and given simple advice which resolved the problem immediately.They do seem to be very sensitive to noise and so if leaving them to watch a place, you may need to turn off the sound recognition or risk getting numerous false alarm notifications.

Item reserved on line and collected.Unable to set up the camera because it had been registered previously with Hive; the package had probably been opened, the camera tried and returned unwanted to Argos, who just repacked it, added a couple of their seals to the package and passed it on to me, unchecked.Argos replaced the camera. The NEW one is fine.An unwelcome experience, though.

This camera is a great addition to your hive system it is a good looking camera and has a wide angled view with a good picture ! You can set a schedule for when you want it to be active and you can view ithe images at any time on your smart phone. No contact unless you want to keep images fo an extended period. Very easy to install needs a hive hub!

Yet another wonderful Hive product to add to my Hive Heating and lighting controls. All of which I can control and keep a watchful eye on my house anywhere in the world. Not the cheapest products but in my opinion the very best. Easy to set up and good customer service back up from Hive. Waiting for the next Hive innovation ?

You pay for and get great quality. Just a shame Hive products are way more expensive than the competition. Went the Hive route as we already had the heating with it's attendant hub. To be fair, they look incredible and the picture quality is excellent, both on WiFi and 4G. Just wish they weren't so bloody expensive...

Literally took 30seconds to get it up and running and connected to the app, mounted it on my kitchen wall opposite my patio doors , notifications come through after a few seconds of the camera detecting motion. Sound and picture is really clear. Very impressed with product thinking of buying an outdoor one now too.

Very stylish camera, can be angled to almost any direction. Alerts are quick via email if it spots or hears anything and you can quickly see recording via the app. Have had a few times when it alerts you but nothing is there, but it seems to have settled down again now. Picture quality is good even in the dark.

Bought this camera to replace my old one,as I need to see in my house at all times because my wife is disabled and cannot walk.Setting up is super easy had mine up and running in 5 mins the picture is very clear can’t fault it.Sits on my fireplace and looks like a piece of modern art.

Easy to set up. Have to give it a while to send push notifications. The live streaming is ok but buffers and disconnected after a few seconds but easily reconnects. You have to wait a short time to be able to see recorded video playback but then you can download it to photos

I’m really pleased with my purchase so pleased I’ve bought another one. The picture quality is brilliant and the fact you can select motion or people movement is a nice option, any movement detected is sent directly to my iPhone with an alert and the footage can be viewed.

Bought as a birthday present for my daughter to keep an eye on her cat while she is at work. Lovely little camera, good picture quality and you can hold a two way conversation through it. So good that my husband now wants one.
