We were burglarized a couple days before Christmas. We had just moved the nest cam to our garage to watch our cats and we had it affixed to the breaker box. A burglar crawled under the garage door and started rummaging through our stuff. He looked up and saw the cam, realized he was on the camera and he grabbed it and our tools and ran. I got a notice while I was at work saying "this is the last thing your cam saw" and it was the palm of his hand reaching up to pull the camera off the box. It also took a picture of his face right before that but it was blurry. He ended up stealing the cam and our tools.

This is the third Nest camera that I have purchased and per the usual it is a good product.We purchased this indoor camera to replace our old Motorola baby monitor. The resolution, excellent night vision, and sound quality make this a worthy upgrade. The camera is very easy to install on an interior wall. It comes with the hardware needed to mount the camera pretty much anywhere. I mounted it to a wall in our son’s bedroom and it was a breeze. Set-up was easy (even easier because we already routinely use the Nest app) and requires very little effort to get working. I find the Nest app very user friendly and always has worked when I needed it to.

We had an event in the home that resulted in a decision to reinstall cameras in the home. I had another brand camera that was stored out of service. Getting it working was an exercise in frustration at best! I decided to do a little research on newer technology and that is where I met the Nest Cam Indoor. Reviews were good and the video I was able to see from users was much better than what I had before.... So off to my local big box store where I found a host of Nest products. I already had a Nest E thermostat so I was not totally new to Nest. I really like the t-stat so my expectations were high for the Nest Cam Indoor. I was not let down.... The time it took to setup the Nest Cam and pair it with my WiFi and Nest app (iPhone version)

Everything is pretty much as advertised, although I was impressed/surprised by the weight of the camera itself. It doesn't feel like a toy. It feels substantial and durable. The stand is also high quality. I was familiar with the app because I had previously setup thermostats, so I had the cameras up in less than 10 minutes. It probably took longer to get them out of the box than it did to set them up in the app and connect them to the network. My only gripe is that I had some connectivity issues and I wish the camera/app UI was better at pinpointing what exactly the issues are. Obviously, if my home network was perfectly designed/resourced, I would have had zero issues with the Nest camera itself.

I bought the camera just because I wanted it without any real defined purpose in mind. Set it up to watch my dogs during the day, let it run for a few weeks and then disconnected it and put it away. It was working perfectly but I didn't really 'need' it. Then my Mom had to go into hospice and was fortunate enough to be able to come live in my house with me. The camera came back out and was set up so I can monitor her at any time without having to knock on her door and maybe wake her up or disturb her. It's so nice that my sister can also check on her from her home whenever she wants. What started out as just a cool nerdy gadget for me has become a truly important piece of equipment

Download the App (Google Play store for me) open the box, plug it in, very simple to useAs most technology these days, the nest cam is very simple to set up, the step by step guide in the app is simple to follow and will have your camera working in 5 minutesThe video quality is great and (in my situation) I am able to stream the video to my TV VIA Chromecast. I have a child and before I got this Nest cam we had got a baby monitor for the same price, waking up at say 3am in the morning squinting your eyes to view the tiny screen that came with it, if I could go back in time I would have got a nest cam indoor and used it instead, hook it up via chromecast to my TV and you have a large screen picture of your child (with audio)

I had never had a camera in my house, nor did I care much about getting one. My wife and I have two dogs that are home while we are at work. We try not to be gone long since one is still mostly in her crate. I bought this camera to watch them while we were away. I was amazed how easy this was to set up and start monitoring. I'm not exactly good at technical stuff. I can be at work and get immediately notified if there is movement in the house either on my iphone or work computer. The picture quality is good, and I can zoom in on either dog. If one of them is being bad, I can talk to them through the microphone. They start minding, but I'm sure they are somewhat creeped out that I can see them while I'm not home.

I purchased a single camera for simple monitoring of my apartment while I was away. Straightforward set up and was up in running in minutes. The design is simple and inconspicuous. Not an eyesore like other bulky cameras. The Nest Aware adds another layer of security. Personally, I thought the features it added was worth fully subscribing after the free trail ended. My only complaint, is I don’t seem to get the notifications for my activity zones. I was away for business and had a coworker watch over my apartment. I had set the Nest App to away and made sure that all my notifcations were set, as I wanted to test this feature. When he stopped by to check on my place and my pet,

I got the nest to monitor my dog at home -- the picture quality is awesome, even at night. I love that the fisheye lens gives me a broad view of the room, and that I can listen to what's going on in the room. I just got a dog last year, and I get anxious about whether she's barking or getting into things. With the Nest, I learned that 99% of the time she's napping. I've gotten a few barking alerts, but I can monitor and tell that they are short, just when my neighbors come home. I've been able to enjoy my time with friends more, because I'm not paranoid about what might be going on at home - I can look anytime and see that the dog is sleeping and fine.

Bought 2 of these for my restaurant and you can upload to the cloud. Setup is VERY easy (Ive had numerous camera systems before including Zmodo which is significantly cheaper but very flakey in comparison). Cloud setup is easy and intuitive. Add cameras to oyur account and the yearly amount adjusts. 2 options to your online storage. Camera quality is good and nice wide angle. I'd say the Zmodo cameras have better image quality but Nest is far far easier and more reliable. I note the Nest camera prices seem to be going up and up ..unsure why. Recommend these as unobtrusive, reliable, easy set-up cloud based camera system. If you add too many your bandwidth (upload) will be impacted though.

Nest Indoor Camera does exactly what I want it to in terms of watching my puppy and my main entryway in my basement. Ease of installation and quality of product is excellent. My only drawback is that I have to pay for a subscription in order to have full access to all the Nest Camera's functionality. As I have already paid more than virtually every other direct competitor of Nest's I found this to be a little excessive. As the other products get better I would take a serious look at switching platforms completely. My goal is to have about five (5) cameras total in my home. The Nest Aware subscriptions makes this a very expensive task unfortunately.

This is a very, very good product with fast alerts ... I often delight and share video clips with my wife of successful package retrievals within ONE MINUTE of delivery ... however ... the camera frequently alerts to lights and shadows in the target "motion zone". The product would receive 5 stars from me if the web-enabled artificial intelligence / machine learning engine could learn to focus more accurately on deliberate human and animal motion, while ignoring inadvertent lights and shadows. I do recommend this product and hope that additional improvements to the motion-detection algorithms will materialize over time.

We received the Nest Indoor Cam as a gift. We set it up prior to going on vacation so we could watch our pets and also talk to them. It was fun to watch them turn their heads wondering where we were physically. The Nest Cam is situated so it sees our entire living room, front room, and kitchen area (great room) so that is quite an expansive area of our home. The Nest Cam buys us peace of mind to check and ensure things at home are fine. You cannot put a price on peace of mind. The vision quality of the camera is amazing. The video / picture is crystal clear, even at night, which was a very nice bonus to the Nest Cam.

This is my second one for now! I bought my first Nest camera and was really happy with that. After 6 months or so I tried cheaper £50 camera which had the same functions in description: motion detection etc. Unfortunately it had multiple issues and nothing worked too well, the app didn't run on my phone most of the time either. So now I only go for Nest cameras. Yes! they are expensive! but they tell me when they go offline, send me messages/emails when something happens, app runs really well on any device. It is very reliable and sleek looking little thing. It is for a peace of mind after all, isn't it.

If you have been reading about the hacking of baby monitors and that has you concerned then this is what you are looking for. My wife was super freaked out about creepers getting into our childs baby monitor and watching or talking to our baby through the very device we were hoping to utilize to keep our child safe. I did my research and the Nest Cam was the no brainer choice. The back end support from Google is second to none and gives you the ease of mind while enjoying an amazing product to boot. Set up is remedial and easy enough for anyone. Looks great as well and isn't imposing in your home.
