I already have the ring doorbell 2 and wanted to add the spotlight cam to the front of the house for added security. I love the fact youCan buy it in black or white and it’s just a nice size not too big and obtrusive. Ring is very easy to install, when adding a device the appTells you exactly what you have to do step by step so you can’t go wrong. The picture is clear ( you do need strong WiFi ) and it’s easy to set up motion zones and alerts. Now .... my only complaint about this product is that it comes with a moulded plug. It took 5 hours of drilling and outdoor sockets being put on all because the plug was moulded to the wire. If it had been a simple plug it would have made the whole process far far easier to install,

suprised opening the box what a good quality feel this item has.checking throught the box everything you could hope for is supplied again with the same quality feel.particularly impressed with the spirtit level built into the back mounting plate and the quality of the tools and accesories supplied.easy fit, drill the wall then cut off the excess cable and theres plenty supplied, rewire the plug when adjusted to the length you need then scan the unit and your ready to go.we bought to cover the garden on an extended holiday and what piece of mind it gives.all the functions you could want and need.well done ring...

The Spotlight Camera is an amazing piece if equipment that is so easy to install and you get everything you will need in the box apart from the actual drill, no technological expertise required just follow the simple step by step instructions.The Camera itself is fantastically designed and once fitted gives excellent quality hd footage and being a ring product you can speak with people who activate the camera through infrared , you also have an alarm and the facility to turn on the light.

Whilst the Ring Spot Light Cam Wired version is a great piece of kit i am a little surprised at how the installation is described with this wired version. You have to dismantle the light cam to remove the power feed cable and then drill a hole through your wall and thread the cable re-fit the cable to the cam and plug it in inside your house etc. I was going to splice it into a lamp power supply already available. Video and light are good though once done. App seems to work well also.

Easy to set up motion detect area.i only get notifications if a person comes to the door.no false alarms.The notification to the phone comes within 2 secs,it then takes 3-4 secs to get the live feed as you connect to the camera via the ring server.My camera connects to a mesh (wifi extender) 3ft away. You will also need a good connection away from home.I was in a premier inn on free wifi and it wouldn't connect,but it did on 4g.The speaker is loud,the lights very bright(adjustable)

Good picture quality, love that I can sound an alarm put lights on and talk through it if needs be deffo gives me a feeling of security when home and out! This is the 2nd camera we’ve bought and we’re really happy with them love how you can operate through an app, motion sensor settings and light settings too so you can tailor it to where you want it to be activated by, just an all round decent camera, can’t recommend highly enough!

Great product and a few simple settings to tweak to really suit your location including dragging a box on screen to show where you want the motion detection to work! Stops my cats setting it off every five minutes!The plug is moulded so if you want to plug indoors but position outdoors and make the cam lit neat and tidy you will need a spare plug and have to require it once threaded through hole in the wall. Slightly annoying.

Bought this spotlight cam after reading the reviews on the internet, and it actually surpasses my expectations. Very easy to install and set up took about 10mins.Did need a plug in WiFi signal booster to obtain a 100% uninterrupted picture, but this was due to being so far away from my router. Excellent picture quality and will definitely take advantage of the ring storage facility online for image storage.

This product offers everything we want... however we ended up purchasing elsewhere as last one in stock had already been out the box with water marks... would of purchased at Argos again friendly staff etc but we wanted one that day and every other local store was out of stock... no hassle with money back etc and apologetic staff Product is great quality and offers security which is what we wanted

Installed two of these. Great clear picture and app to support it. The light on it works well too and is worth the combination as extra security. The connectivity is a bit slow to open the live view, considering I have a fast internet speed. The fact you have no recorder also helps, as it’s super quick to install. Only issue I had was you are unable to have a battery back up if power goes down.

Took a while to connect to my WiFi. But once it was the rest was a piece of cake. Plenty of cable and very small and discreet. Great quality anytime of day. Only thing I would change is the option to remove the plug so you connect the power inside the property. I also have the Ring floodlight camera in my back garden, and have already caught attempted burglars. Would highly recommend

A superb piece of equipment that I wish I had bought the first time I saw it advertised, then my son's new bike would not have been stolen, in spite of us having a 10 foot hedge, two 7 foot locked gates and, please believe me, a very big German Shepherd. Together with this we should also have had pictures of the thief to present to the police. Don't think I can say any more !!!

Easy to install and use app on your mobile.Only problem is you need to cut the sealed plug off (and fit an appropriate new one) to pass cable thru hole in wall unless you have an outdoor plug socket.Also we had to upgrade our internet as upload speed was to slow to begin with and we had just a pixelated image.Great bit of kit that can be fitted and set up in no time.

Overall its a good product, I love the 2 way speaker which comes in handy when I have visitors when away from home. The camera is good but the range could be better. Night vision camera has a better image than day. Main complaint would be the sealed plug, if the camera goes outside and needs to be plugged in inside your house, how big does the hole need to be?......

This device is really easy to install, so once it's plugged in and connected, you're ready to go. All the set up is run through the Ring phone app, and connect to the internet.Keeps you updated with notifications when something moves past the camera.Recommend - take some time to tune the motion settings, otherwise you will be receiving a lot of alerts.
