Great looking doorbell I love that it has the advance motion sensor, although the first one we had was defective because I couldn’t hear anything but replacement was sent quick and got a newer version which had a heat sink in the back two other minor concern is the larger plate didn’t really match up with my original home doorbell housing because I think mine uses the J box or the standard rectangular outlet type box so I had to do a bit of modification second was you can no longer make your original doorbell at home ring multiple times since it only allows it to ding-dong once every few seconds of interval even if you press the button repeatedly but aside from that I’m happy with all of my 4

I received this for a xmas gift. I'm old and not the best tech savy person but know enough to get me in trouble. I spent alot of time with there tech support and found them excellent. Do not attempt to set this up using a mini ipad with an OS of 9.3.5 because it will never work. I had to get my daughter to come over and use her smart phone to make it work. The only real drawback I have is that the house doorbell voltage doesn't charge the battery you have to remove it and charge it in the house. If they get an update that fixes that it would be a great product.

I bought this product last week and so far so good.The alerts come through after about a second so almost instantly, connects quickly through the app too.It is meant to be 1080p however I would say it is more 720p, still clear and good at night too.I found installing the doorbell easy and it comes with the Transformer so no compatability issues.Looks great next to the door (see photos, ignore the plastic wrap still on frame only fitted the same day as doorbell), it has a white ring around the button which then goes blue once someone presses the button.

I love this device. I currently use it with my ADT alarm system and couldn’t asked for more. With the ring app I am always home even when I’m away. I can review everything happening at my house thanks to the motion alerts. Burglars can’t even hide at night thanks to the HD night vision camera. It even allows me to share the important alerts with my neighbors using the app or Facebook. I was honestly shocked to find out some of the things that was happening around my neighborhood. I love how the device will connect to my other smart home devices.

Excellent product. Really handy not only as a door bell but also as a security camera. Really clear in both day and night mode. Only issue is the wiring in. Slightly difficult as the kit comes wit parts to be installed into the consumer unit. I decided not to do this as I didn't have space on mine. I bought a transformer plug from the Ring website which saved having to upgrade the consumer unit. Would be handy if Argos stocked this but certainly doesn't detract from this being a great bit of kit

The Ring Doorbell Pro was simple to install but I had but installed by an electrician.It worked straight away & I was able to get clear images on my iPhone. It came with all bits needed, including a plug in chime (need that if you want it to ring other than on your phone).Setup via the app is v simple, can control all settings with it.Even at work I can see who is at my door & talk to them through the app.I chose this model as wanted hard wired bell to replace my existing hardwired one. Love it!

Didn’t have a door bell so had to spur off an outside light but found I had to house the transformer that comes with it off you are coming straight off a lighting circuit Bought a 50mm deep double plug housing with blanking plate and housed the transformer in there , would have gone for battery version if I had known the transformer had to be located somewhere Otherwise great piece of kit and works fine simple to install once you realise how to connect to mains Ring app works well also

Having sorted out the wiring issue, I opted for the Pro instead of the Ring 2. It was easy to set up, but disappointing was the fact it didn't come with any of the wedges to angle it. It comes with 4 different faceplates. Picture quality is much better than Ring 2. However it does still struggle a bit with moving images - it's very important you have a strong Wi-Fi signal!! You can customise & create multiple zones for movement detection. The doorbell is great, has seasonal themes e.g Halloween

HiI was looking for a video doorbell and I was looking at the battery version to start with but went with the pro which requires powering. The reason why 8 went with this is because it is more descrete and to be honest if there is a power cut you loose the wifi and it cannot record so this is why I went with the ring pro and it is more of a sleaker design and all the components are in the box even a power supply for the door bell. The only thing is if you have no power at the bell you need to

It’s a great cam and with voice too. So 4 stars bacause the fuse box item (the transformer) that comes with it will not fit in most UK fuse boxes. I didn’t have an existing door bell. So what I had to do was get an Electricion and draw the electricity from a light switch, and place the fuse in a separate box (high on the wall), drill a hole in the wall and feed the wire to the doorbell outside. I doubt the installation that comes with the purchase options would cover such an install.

Slimmer than the Ring 2 and would have fitted nicely on our door frame. Unfortunately it comes with a transformer which should be l next to the fuse box.. That's not practical in my house and more agro than its worth for this application. I returned it and replaced it with ring 2 which is wider but works off batteries. Annoying that both Pro and ring 2 require an AC transformer rather than the more common DC adapter. But they give a very good picture quality and setup was straight forward

I now have a working Ring which seems good but:a) You will almost certainly need an electrician.b) Support is in the US - you will end up speaking to people with very mixed knowledge of the UK package. Some good some bad and I never got the same one twice. c) My Ring was faulty. In itself annoying but the box includes parts that once installed are hard to uninstall without getting the electrician out again and good luck getting Argos to simply exchange the unit with bits missing.

The Ring Doorbell Pro is just what I was looking for. I wanted a fully wired doorbell that I didn’t have to keep charging. I’ve been looking at these for mo the and decided to take the plunge when a family member bought the ring 2. It really appealed to me and this has the added bonus of being ‘always on’ as it’s wired into the mains. You also get a more advanced motion detection when you buy this model. I can answer the door when I’m not at home and have a two way conversation.

Good piece of kit easy to install, it does take a bit of time for all settings to take place when connecting to the wifi, but works really well when setup.The only thing they need to improve on is the lag when answering the door bell on the app, it is really slow and sometimes the person has walked away by the time the app turns on, on the phone, so they really need to contact the app developers to sort this out. However over all it is a good product and I would recommend it.

Excellent for recording who visits your house while your out. Also useful if your child wants to know who is at the door without having to open it. You can also give the impression that you are in the house by talking to the person via your mobile app. Downside is the time delay in starting the live view can be a few seconds, which is a little too long.If you want to store your recordings you have to pay a yearly subscription which isn’t obvious when purchasing the device.
