June 6, 2019 update:The cameras (and NVR) have been installed a couple of weeks. I like them - a lot. The effective range of the infrared throw is about 40 feet. So, in darkness, the black and white image is quite clear up to about 40 feet away from the camera - It drops off rapidly after that. The LEDs, when activated, are really bright... enough to move out of night vision black and white to color. I turn on the camera LEDs manually using the smartphone, tablet or computer HomeSafe View app. There is a way to have the LEDs automatically activate when triggered (motion detection), but I have not yet decided if I want to do that.The mic on the camera is sensitive enough to hear a normalconversation audio level from about 20 feet away (there will be background ambient hiss heard on the smartphone). The speaker on the camera can be loud enough to be heard (when there is no background noise), up to about 30 feet away.I think I prefer this to installing a "video doorbell" which don't usually record locally, can't see very far (fish-eye distortion at distance is not very useful) and typically require some sort of subscription to store capture video events to a cloud account. Yes, this costs more, but is much more flexible...These cameras connect to the NVR using CAT6 cable. I had one long run and used a CAT6 coupler to add a second cable extension (~30 feet). Works great.The images from the camera to the NVR, then to various 4k and 1080 monitors (connected via wired and wireless HDMI) installed throughout the house are very clear.+++I purchased 2 of these security cameras along with a 6-camera Swann security cam systemhttps://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07J67KXKXCurrently, the NVR and all 8 cameras are on the floor, powered up, connected to the internet - and I am able to view the live and captured video from computers, smartphones, tablets, etc (after setting up the domain with Swann). Everything thing seems to be working properly as is the HomeSafe View app on the computers, tablets and smartphones.In addition to the night-vision infrared emitters, this particular out-door rated security camera has a couple of LEDs, mic and speaker. The LEDs' brightness is controlled from the app on the computers, smartphones, tablets and the system menu on the NVR can cause the LED to shine steady or strobe-flash if motion is detected. The mic is also controlled from the app (press and hold the mic icon to send your voice from the computers, smartphones or tablets, to this camera while this camera is the "live" viewer. The camera mic is plenty sensitive from about 20 feet away from the audio source.I wanted to stage this before installing to be sure everything works as I need it - and so far, so good. We recently moved and I left an installed/working, 720p Swann security camera system at the house we moved out of and the new place needed a security camera system.Now that I am familiar with the behavior of the new system - including this camera - I am ready to install the new system (along with a 1500AVR battery backup system for the NVR and a few monitors throughout the house each on their own 700 AVR battery back-up). So far, the infrared throw of these and the other cameras which came with the system look good under controlled lighting/darkness inside where the entire system is currently "staged" - I'll report back on the effectiveness of the IR throw outdoors in a couple of weeks after all this equipment finds its installed place...

UPDATE: After 1 year, absolutely no issues at all. Surveillance caught 2 guys stealing from me and my neighbors' packages. After providing video to police, they were apprehended and convicted. This camera has paid itself off.ORGINAL REVIEW: I bought the 4k 4 camera system and very happy with it. But adding this upgraded version was a well worth decision. So many features and ways of combining the led spotlight integrated with the alarm siren is Amazing. I highly recommend this security camera to anyone looking for peace of mind of your love ones. Thank you so much Swann, you really nailed it with this one.

Besides the four standard cameras that came with my Swann system, I also bought two 4K spotlight cameras (885MSFB). I put one at my front door and the other at my back door. It was easy to adjust the sensitivity for when the flood light would come on, how bright it would be, the area that would set it off, and how long it would remain on. There is also a siren that can be set off if desired. I really like how you can use the phone app (I’m using HomeSafe View for IOS) to talk to someone through these cameras, plus, you can turn the siren and flood light off and on remotely using the app.

The PIR spotlight camera provides several useful deterrent features including 2-way talk in a relatively compact package. One can selectively deploy the warning spotlight or siren, or both at the same time depending on need. Using the video analytics feature I was able to reduce the false alerts by combining PIR motion detection with Face Detection.

Works straight out of the box has a handy app for monitoring security. Quality colour images two way sound and powerful lights work well remotely. The program provides powerful security features. Security shots can be stored both on site as well as off site. In all it’s a great package

We have the regular Swann cameras and two of these. These are awesome, especially at night time. If you walk by the cameras between the hours you set, an alarm goes off for about 25 seconds. I like the talk function too. It actually works! Going to buy a few more of these ones.

These SWNHD885 are awesome camera they are advanced camera for NVR systems and they have lots of features. The price for these camera are cheaper to buy from Amazon
