When the Swan Iron arrived, much faster than I expected, I thought that it may have been a used or reconditioned one: the packaging was loose and parts of the machine were dusty. But looking at the plate, and the other parts, I soon came to the conclusion that it was in fact new. I then followed the “before use” instructions, after removing the water tank (not in the instructions). As the temperature rose, I noticed smoke rising from a couple of holes on the body of the iron. And suddenly there was quite a loud crack. Nothing on the iron appeared to be damaged, so I assumed that the “crack” was just the plate expanding as it heated up. I continued following the instructions for several minutes,

Haven't used it yet to do a big pile of ironing but so far, so good, if I could review it in a few months would be a better review but for the price not a bad iron.

Very good iron. Would recommend. Beats taking the whole iron to the water
