They don't get better than this.I've been hankering after on of these half litre flasks for ages but the price kept putting me off but I then decided not to be the richest corpse in the grave yard. The spec says it keeps liquid hot or cold for 15 hours. I've yet to test the full time but it's certainly living up to expectations so far.It holds just the right amount of hot water to give me two hot drinks in a normal travel mug or three of the flask cups. This cup is just right for one drink in my opinion and three cups is just right on one of my typical half-day's walks, so I now don't need to carry a separate cup anymore.I just love the robust feel and look of this flask .I get the feeling I could run over it with a tank and it would remain intact. I now need to test how robust it really is by giving it to my wife for an outing because she can break anything. It's a bit big for the amount it contains but that's not detrimental. In fact it just adds to the robustness of it. I may just buy another, it's that good.Just an update on the heat test time. I filled the flask with boiling water at 23.00 and at 07.00 the fooling morning the water was not hot enough to make a cup if tea. I then refilled with boiling water and 4 hrs later the liquid temperature had dropped by 20 deg. I ran a comparison test against an old flask at the same time and that lost only 10 deg. I must have a duff one.

Purchased for work and leisure as popping in somewhere for a coffee isn't as simple as it was pre-2020.My reason for buying this flask is there are two Stanley flasks (the green one) in my parents house that have been there as long as i can remember and still going strong with plenty of use over the years. The price is on the steep side but if it lasts like it should then it'll be worth it and offer better value than buying cheap and replacing later.I can't comment on the specs for keeping liquid hot or cold. The longest i have left a flask full of coffee for has been 6 hours and although it had lost maybe 1-2 degrees in heat,it was still a very nice/hot cup of coffee. The liquid quantity held and the physical size of the flask is perfect for myself and exactly what i was after. The only thing i may purchase is a protective sleeve for the flask when working to avoid denting the base.

I have had a stanley 1 litre flask for over 6 years and always keeps hot drinks warm for 6 to 8 hours.I wanted a lighter one for going walking to fit in my rucksack and this 0.47l one is the perfect size and gives you 2 large cupfuls .just as good as the 1litre but does keep hot for as long as seems to be thinner but still hot for at least 5 hours plus.I had a faulty one which got warm on the outside which i sent back to the company on amazon and they replaced it at once and paid postage both ways, great service. All these type of stanleys are guarenteed for life, would recommend them to anyone.

I bought one of these earlier this week and having read the reviews on amazon decide to test it's ability to hold heat. I duly filled it with boiling water at 11:00am. I left the flask at room temperature until 22:00. The external wall was cool to the touch and the water inside had dropped to a temperature where I could drink it at the temperature one usually might drink tea or coffee.I'm not surprised people had problems with their flasks in sub-zero temperatures. If I had put mine in the fridge I think the water inside would have cooled very quickly. All in all I am well pleased with it.

If you, like me you prefer to pay for an item that lasts and is of very good quality then you really cannot go wrong with a Stanley Flask. I first use these when I was in the military, it was one of those bits of kit you had to buy yourself (1980-1993) as issued stuff was useless. I along with many others always had one of these by our sides. Anyway I need a large and a small one so I went a bit old school and bought Stanley again. So glad I did as it is just as good quality as I remember. You really cannot go wrong with one of these, thrust me. Top bit of kit that will last you years

I love this flask. As a freelance bookkeeper I often find myself working with nowhere to make a drink or worse they use horrible cheap coffee. I had a small flask bought fairly recently, used it twice and then found myself one morning on a farm with cold coffee. So invested in the flask. It is expensive but it’s a very well made flask feels solid and keeps my coffee hot. It also looks beautiful, very slightly retro. Can’t ask for more and it has the feel that it’s made to last. I’ve told my son I’ll leave it to him in my will, I’m so confident it will last.

A very sturdy piece of equipment and so far there's not the slightest sign of it leaking even when not upright.I've found that when filled it keeps hot liquids hot for a very long time with no apparent heat transfer to the outer casing.Obviously, if it's not full to start with or you remove part of the contents the remaining liquid is always going to cool slightly quicker because you have introduced more air. That fact is common to all 'vacuum' flasks but I have found this one performs better than most.Overall, I have no complaints whatsoever.

I've used and abused this flasks big brother for years and years and love it; however, I'm getting older and the weight I'm prepared to carry is getting smaller so I bought this. It's the perfect size for me, two good cups of coffee, as it's much smaller I assumed it wouldn't keep my coffee warm for long but I can burn myself even after two days! A truly fantastic flask. It's now with me most days and providing sterling service.

Well-made flask that keeps hot for 6-8 hours - I often use it to fill with coffee (with milk), put in the car, go for a long walk, then drink the coffee at the end - it is still piping hot. Tips are to swill out with boiling water first (iced water for cold drink), and fill up to the bottom of the neck. The seal isn't just a rubber ring and looks slightly vulnerable; I don't know if it's possible to order a replacement.

have you ever heard of Stanley? May be your parents had some Stanley products you remember from childhood?Anyway, this is top class quality product. Unfortunately no more produced in UK but China. I tested it for half a year on everyday basis and must admit China product is not worth quality as it does the proper job and is easy to clean.

Used it in Norway and Sweden this winter, temperatures down to -20C, and it kept my drink hot enough for the day. No problems with threading or pouring and no over-complex pouring mechanism - just unscrew the stopper a couple of turns. A little heavier than some flasks but feels sturdy and worth it I think. Recommended.

It's a great flask I have never used it with cold water but it keeps hot water hot for ages. It can be luke warm the next morning if you don't use it all. I have the bigger one for different occasions but this fits in my lunch bag and can just about make 2 coffees a day which is enough for during my breaks.A classic.

I bought this flask to take on walks, I used it today it contained 3 full cups of coffee!I love the vintage look, green metal.Drinks stay hot all day.Good value for money, as it has a 25 year guarantee. To me, these flasks are heirlooms and I will treasure both of mine.

having had many vacuum flasks over the years I know that only Stanley will do. Fishing, work in woodlands and family picnics require robust manufacture and ling life. Only needed this on because my other one was left up North on a family visit

Stanley are the best!I already have a large Stanley flask for days out - from which you can get about six cups of drink. This is the smaller size - which I take to work and get about 2 good cups from. Just enough for break and lunch.
