After receiving this product 3 days after ordering, I was impressed by the superb quality of the product and how robust it seemed to be and I have a good feeling this will last me a good few years! When I had a look around the product I decided to have a little test considering some people have said that this product does not keep the liquid hot and is luke warm by lunch and I didn't want to be let down on when I try it out on the weekend. So after heating my flask by filling it with boiled water straight from the kettle I put the lid and cup back on and left it for about 10-15 mins whilst I read the leaflet it came with and I recommend to pre-heat with boiling water not hot tap water as my (possibly everyone elses)hot tap water is around 48 degrees Celsius and obviously boiling water is 100 degrees Celsius and in my mind that is 50 more degrees it has to warm the flask by! And in the mean time boil another kettle full of water having a large kettle helps and conveniently my kettles max fill was 1.9L's! And I checked the temperature which was 94 degrees Celsius and then after working out what a usual day would be and how many hours it would be till lunch I worked out around 5-6 hours if filled up at around 7 am so I waited 4 hours (impatience got the better of me!) I measured the temperature again and it was 89-90 degrees Celsius which I thought was exceptional considering it was loosing about a degree celsuis an hour! But obviously it will cool a little quicker when opened a few times to make your self a drink. Another point considering its size is how light it was! (not when filled it is like carrying a 2l pop bottle around!) But this size of flask is to throw in the back of the 4x4 when on a day out or in the back of the van when working, I wouldn't recommend it for backpackers due to its size and filled weight.Overall I was extremely pleased with this product and due to its build quality I feel it will last me a great number of years! And if anything does go wrong I have the warranty but don't be fooled with the 'Lifetime warranty' as a little black sticker in the corner states that it is only a 25 year warranty if you purchased it in Europe! But I suppose if you get 25 years or more out of this product then that £31.26 was money well spent! I hope you will enjoy this product as much as I do! :)

This thing is like a tank or an old missile.I was attracted to this as it looks a tiny bit ugly and vintage, like it would get a huge beating and keep working, something I can throw around while Im gardening! This thing is huge, its bigger then the lenth of my head when I hold up against it. I bought the giant one as I am not drinking nearly enough in a day (maybe one glass if that) and this thermos is soooo much cheaper then any other 2l drinking 'water' thermos.I filled it up with ice cold water at 6am and even now at 4pm the water is freezing cold like its from the tap. The lid stays on and you pour it in the direction of the arrows after unscrewing one turn and it comes out in a greatpour.Only 2 cons I can see:- The handle is not a solid piece its on 2 buckles so if you dont hold it right while pouring it sometimes shifts in weight and moves causing water to splutter out so I make sure the buckles are fully extended in my grip before pouring.- The cup you get with it is metal lined and plastic inside, I have cold drinks in it and when you lift the cup its freezing cold, the same will happen with hot things. The new version has a thermal cup so that will help lots.Overall thouh this is the best 2l drink holder Ive ever bought and Ive been through a load. Turns out my great grandad used to have one of these in the 30s when he used to go to work as a head gardener in a stately home!

Okay. Let’s be honest I totally bought this for its retro-look to fit in with my “wicker summer picnic” thing I’ve got going on at the moment! I DID NOT buy it for the price. Because it is pricey! So let’s get down to brass tacks. I checked whether the water stayed hot for 32hrs straight A’s promised. It did! So 10/10 there. But what I cannot understand is why-oh-why - since this thing is large and HEAVY, especially when full - is it finished off with what amounts to a flimsy plastic carry handle! That moves as you pour if you’re not oh-so-careful. Unbelievable! I’m just waiting for it to snap one day; or pour all over me if I don’t concentrate! I just know I’ll be calling on that lifetime guarantee, sometime in the not-too-distant-future! Also. The handle does not lie flat, which again, I know is gonna be annoying when packing it into a basket. Heyho! I wouldn’t say this is a case of form over function, because in the end I really do appreciate a piping-hot cup-of-tea, but honestly the design team needs to get more women on it to tell them just what is needed to gain that perfect balance between form and function, appreciated by every picnic connoisseur!

I've bought cheap supermarket flasks for years as i thought these were expensive, after my last (ever) cheap flask broke i found the stanley flask on offer decided to bite the bullet and bought one, best (flask based) descision i ever made, and as we all know you get what you pay for. This flask keeps liquid hot for hours and hours and is large enough to keep anyone lubricated for a day at work or play, it really is brilliant seems durable as it is made from stainless steel not glass and plastic. Freinds have bought these after seeing what they are like in real life. I would and do recommend this flask to anyone looking for one spot on.

This is a fantastic flask,in the past I have had thermos were ok ones from supermarket rubbish. Someone recommended this one and I am so pleased they did after 24 hours the water was almost as hot as after 1 hour 36 hours water was still hot enough for a cuppa. 48 hours still able to make a cuppa after 60 hours was hot enough if you wanted to drink straight away. I am so impressed we show our shih tzus and sometimes leave about 5 in the morning depending where the show is and get back after 8 at night to be confident at any time to.have a cuppa is fantastic. I now have 2 of these

I am gobsmacked at how anyone can leave a negative review on this. The flask is absolutely fantastic for the money.I use mine daily for boiling water and it honestly holds it's heat for 30 hours. It'll keep the water at perfect tea-coffee temp for 20 hours with no effort.Fill the flask with a pint of hot water to heat the sides and leave for a few mins. Tip that out and fill with boiling water and away you go.Brill, heavy duty, robust and can really take a dunt and a bash about my work truck.15 stars for me. Wouldn't be without it.

You can easily meet your daily hydration requirements on tea alone when you fill this big boy!Honestly, I've tried them all. This flask is built to last and keeps a hot drink hot until the end of the day.Biggest tip........pre-heat with boiling water for a few minutes first (but you already knew that, didn't you?) then fill it to the neck. I'm using Twinings Assam tea bags x 2 for a full fill.To keep clean I use Puly Caff cleaner for keeping the inside in 'good as new' condition. Works great on coffee stains and stench too!

Bought this as a replacement for my previous Stanley which was over 20 years old and the stopper broke and I could not get a replacement. I was annoyed at first because there was nothing wrong with the flask itself. Once I had composed myself, I bought this bigger version of my old flask but I received the latest model and not the one shown in the advert. The handle folds flat against the body on the new version but the rest of the flask is the same. I just hope this one lasts as long as my previous one?

i brought this for a friend who works outside and has many flasks that have been no good. always getting cold half way through the day. so on christmas day we filled it with boiling water and was gonna have another look late that night but as you do we forgot and remembered 3 days later. when i opened it, it was hot and steamy but i think drinking would have been borderline tea temperature. how good was that 3 days i was very impressed we even left it on the outside windowsill. i would recommend it x

very very well made...but not made in England, made in china? what happened to the British company's making quality products? its coped to the T tho, it even has a spare screw thread for another cup but only supplied with one cup.lol. done the drop test in the field, chucked it about when full, im rough as they come and its stood up well to me being a brut.lol. good bit of quality, worth the investment and should last years:) very happy indeed:) but would like the extra cup?lol

8.10.2018

I have been using this flask for a month, everyday usage. I burned my finger the first day after the hot water had been standing in the flask for 12 hours, so I am impressed. There is a thread for larger cup it seems, but there isn't one nor did it say there would be one for those in confusion.I would recommend this product. I have used others, cheaper, glass lined ones etc, but never been this enthusiastic over a bl**** flask before lol.

Can’t believe just how good this flask isFilled with boiling water to just clean it prior to using the following day but overslept and never had time to make it so went to work without itAs a hgv driver I am away from home for approximately 13-15 hrs dailyWhen I got home opened up flask and the water was still scolding that’s after nearly 28 hrsGreat size nearly 2 litres enough for the whole daySolid build as expected from Stanley

This is a big well built flask which has kept liquid too hot to drink for over 24hrs. It's quite a heavy flask but I needed something robust. I've been using mine everyday for 2 months now. The only issue I have had is if the pouring holes in the top are not lined up properly or the lid is not removed completely when pouring liquid runs down the flask.I would recommend this flask for keeping in the heat and how robust it is.

I'm hoping this will be the last flask I will ever buy. Having had yet another Thermos Flask fail on me, I'm justifying spending such a lot on my next flask by thinking on the lines of if you buy cheap you buy twice (or three times in my case). This one feels robust & keeps hot liquid hot. The volume enables five of us to have a mug of coffee each. So far so good. Only time will tell if it's still going strong when I'm not!

Tea was warm still after 8 hours. It wasn`t hot!!! I overpaid!!!! Shame, moreover - my friend had a TESCO thermos for £4 and the tea was also warm! For the x10 more than Tesco price I have paid, I expected a VERY GOOD PRODUCT and that I could drink the hot tea...not warm! And also Stanley name is printed on the STICKER! not on the actual metal.... I say it is product similar to those of `made in China`. Not impressed.
